Yes bought two hot pies as often I do from there. The market has gone down hill over the years. Absolutely rubbish. Market stands empty most of the time. PRESTON LOSES CUSTOMERS BY THE THOUSANDS BECAUSE OF CHARGING PARKING FEES.

In the Blackburn market, you can find almost anything you're looking for. You can enter from the outside, which is great for wheelchair accessibility, or if you're already in the mall above the market, you can use the elevator or the escalator. Once you're in the market, you can expect a crowd. People use the market as access to the mall above and there are people shopping. There are fast food vendors, such as Chinese and even breakfast bars. There are fresh food vendors that sell fruits, vegetables, fish and other meats. There are clothing stalls, phones and phone accessories stalls, stalls to sell mobility scooters, stalls that showcase bathrooms, stalls sell home appliances. You can find post cards, gifts for any occasion, ornaments and much more. Need a barber; there's a shop not too far from the escalator - turn left and ask for Daniel! Need your eyebrows done; there's a shop near the barbers. Nails? Keep going left from the barbers, near one of the entrance doors, close to the bus station. Overall, in my opinion, the market could use a modern upgrade and more sufficient stalls for vendors.

Call me old fashioned but this is not the market that had an international reputation for quality, variety and bargains galore that I knew so well throughout my life and came back to, over and over again, wherever we were in the country or - indeed - the world. High rents have affected prices and squeezed out many of the traditional market traders. Very sad.

Not as good as it used to be. Stalls closing down ie pet stall. It is mostly food and drink. But there's a good jig saw stall with a good choice of puzzles and magazines. There's a stall that sells white knee high school socks, cheaper than Whittaker's.

The most accessible place in town is this market. Right from fresh breads, meat, fish, food options, grocery, flowers, home decor, birthday decoration, candles, second hand electronic items, salon, nails spa, clothing, you name it and you have it all. People are nice and helpful. You need a good 1 hours time to explore the entire market

It's good for locals to have a marketplace and shopping centre in one big roof! Food is nice , reasonably priced! You can't expect to see high end shops but you wouldn't miss any high street ones!

I like the market, it depends what you want and need. It's not that big good choice of butchers fishmongers and takeaway. Cafe, Some sweet and bedding stalls and barbers. Ideally located under the mall shopping precinct and car park. Yet again one of the lifts broken.

Lovely market. It was nice to see a market with so many different stalls . It was also very festive as we went in December. Well worth a visit.

Not the best layout .. quite a lot of empty stalls .. quite dark could do with better lighting .. lifts out of order .. wouldn't be in a rush to return.. its not very often I visit the market due to the above reasons but I thought I'd see if it had had any improvement from my last visit.. unfortunately it was still a disappointment.

Regularly visit for cooked chicken but decided to walk round during last visit. Is it just me or has the heart of the old market been erased? Even the fact that it was cold and draughty didn't detract from the range of stalls... What a shame that progress is generally deemed best.

Poor market this nowadays. Lots of empty stalls and the majority of the rest are poor with "fast food" places the overwhelming majority. There are a couple of nice butchers there and the Chinese food place is good but there's not enough there to bother making a trip there.

Blackburn market is always very good to get all the things you were used to getting. Still a good few well known places. You can buy all sorts off art & crafts stuff in the market to create all your own home made things for yourself or to create lovely hand made gifts for family & friends to treasure always. You can enjoy meals with your friends or family at lots of different places with a variety of food to try out in the food court in the market. Foods from different countries different cultures & its always fun to try out new dishes. Fresh fruits & vegetables fish & meat its all available fresh in the market. You can make & create your own delicious dishes with wonderful fresh ingredients. Lots of other services available & clothes & shoes handbags for all your familys shopping

Varied stalls selling multiple goods and services. Nicely bustling without being overcrowded. Handy being next to the bus station with car parking nearby too.

A mixture of traditional, cultural and modern choices of fashion items to retro decor. Also going choices of food stalls.

Me and my friend really enjoyed this market, open after 5 unlike most and illuminated all around! The products are laid out well, staff were friendly and I bought a delicious Fanta elderflower drink for a cheap price that I'd never come across before.

Very busy and lots of stalls selling an array of merchandise. Food area also busy and had to wait for a table. I had a small breakfast which was very nice.

Customers were wearing masks, no stall holders were. No space to pass safely. Was early in the morning so lots of setting up still happening, was ignored when I asked a question.

Very limited in its offerings, it seems that half of the stalls are unoccupied. However from the ones that are occupied, you can find a good selection of hot meals and a spacious seating area.

This Market is like a maze, there is no easy way around, the old Market was so much better and easier to find your favourite stalls and had a separate Fish Market, now only one stall remains which is very good with lots of choice and the staff are brilliant, there is a wonderful Haberdashery with everything you would need, a good book stall and various others that you would in a market

Lots of interesting stalls and a good variety of items, something for everyone here. On the top floor there are favourites like primark and H&M. And lots of lovely places to eat. Love the diversity here it really is a great place.

You'll find some wonderful things in this market, with stalls run by wonderful people. It has a sticklers seat shop with a huge pick and mix section that doesn't cost your house as collateral, a food court with a huge variety of dishes from different continents such a Gyros, noodles and rice dishes, Indian, Pakistani etc. And for those with a more homely taste there are food stalls that sell baked potatoes, spud pie, shepherds pie and so on. Little cafes, botany stalls, news agents even a costume shop. Many magical things can be discovered down in the market, see for yourself and feel the gravitational force as your jaw tries to hit the floor.
