👍👍 We popped in here just expecting to take a quick photo of a windmill and be on hour way. However you can take a tour (£5 pp absolute bargain) we ended up staying for about an hour and a half. The tour is brilliantly done and the hosts are great. There is a small shop for coffee and light snacks.... People often mention windmill, tour, visit, Great, mill,

Went here today with our grandchildren. Lovely little place. Very good parking. Reasonable price £5 admission for adult £3 for children (under 5 free) guided tour of the windmill was really interesting and enjoyable. Nice little gift shop selling snacks etc. Was also a tractor festival there.

Visited as part of the heritage open days event. We were given a fantastic tour of the mill which was working. The mill usually has 6 sails but currently only has 4 as 2 are being repaired. The tour started with a history of the mill, there was also a virtual tour for people unable to climb the stairs. The mill workings are fantastic and the guide we had was extremely knowledge and friendly giving us a real insight into the history of the mill. Great views of Heage village from the mill.

I've just come back from a guided tour of this windmill and I've absolutely loved it. The tour guide was really informative and explained how everything worked and the process from turning oats into flour. There is a small shop at the side selling a few books about the Windmill. The volunteers are very helpful and always willing to come up to you for a chat. The Windmill also overlooks the village of heage. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone coming for a visit.

Visited for a car show and found that you could have a tour of the windmill. £16 for a family of 5. Guides were very knowledgeable and it was a wonderful experience. My 8 year old loved it! Small shop selling flour, ice cream and souvenirs and a used book shelf with books for a small donation.

Beautiful views from there. The team of dedicated volunteers explain the workings of the windmill with enthusiasm. Currently the sails are being renovated, we will return when they are put back in place to see it in all its glory.

A delightful place, that shows the workings of a traditional windmill. Excellent guides (although ours did seem to prefer jokes to facts). Very reasonable entry fee, and cheap hot drinks. Will definitely return!
