Visited while passing through Darwen. What an absolute stunning building! They have done a fantastic job and shows in this majestic building and its interior. It doesn't feel like an old chapel but has more of a library feel about it with its floor above, where the kitchen and further seating areas are situated. Also upstairs infront of the stunning stained glass windows, there is artwork and paintings on display which add character to this historic building. We never dined here so can't comment but the hot chocolate was a delight. Lots of open floor space with tables and also comfy couches. Parking is limited outside but there are a few just outside if you are lucky. Nice visit and would recommend.

We visited with family and whilst they had a meal i had to sit there with no food because they refused to redo a steak that was well done instead of rare because and i quote the "chef" (chunky fella, ginger beard) "i can't get it any rarer than that" its literally well done, a monkey could literally cook a rare steak. The waiter was lovely about it and refunded it but its actually appalling to be sat at a family meal and be the only one not eating. You need new kitchen staff, the tables were all sticky too which is a shame because its usually ok at breakfast time.

Ok ush but could have been so much better. Went for breakfast with family. Food cold. No fresh fruit available. Asked for a sausage sandwich (2 sausages on granary) no granary bread, so said it would be ok on a muffin instead. It was tiny, hard/stale not two sausages only one sausage cut in half. . Tried to use the app. Very complicated and half way through threw me out. Had to order from bar, with took a further ten minutes. Waiting on staff were polite, tables cleared promptly, which was good.

This is a really nice spoons in both it's layout and atmosphere. Two levels make it large enough to have a good vibe from a busy venue but not so much you get hemmed in. Good service from the bar staff and as usual reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit!

It is a lovely building. It's a Wetherspoons. Decent beer, decent food. Well priced. Normally, complain about lack of staff and long waits at the bar to be served, not this time. Only downside was it was like sitting in a creche, with bawling kids.

This is a lovely pub, so clean warm and s fantastic atmosphere. The most amazing eggs benedict breakfast for the price. Haven't got the app yet so getting a drink at peak times can take a little extra time but hey ho still a great experience pub.

Beers are great but popular beers not always available the staff say dark beer not popular but when it’s on it sells out quick, have had instances were they have closed an hour early despite people still drinking it’s time someone got a grip of this place as it has the makings of being a great pub

Wonderful place to eat and drink. Many memories there with my dad before he past away this year. Great prices for what you get. Toilet access is great but mum has to go upstairs which is hard when drunk lol

Burnt burgers dry and crunchy. What's the point of complaining if they let these out of the kitchen in the first place. Won't be back.

I go here most weeks as it is one of my absolute favourite places to relax and have a drink in Darwen. The staff are so nice and friendly, always smiling even when it is absolutely rammed and they're working their socks off. The atmosphere is brilliant, it has a wonderful buzz to it and a real mix of people just heading out for a night out or finishing off with a night cap. Plus, the building you are surrounded by is gorgeous with some lovely artwork that really complements the theme. Obviously it goes without saying that the prices are super cheap for both the food and drink as it is a Weatherspoons, but this certainly isn't reflected in the quality. The food is really well prepared and tasty and the drinks are made very well too, again a testament to how good the staff are at both the front and back of the house. I really can't recommend this place enough and if I'm out drinking in Darwen I will always make sure I come here for at least one. Can't wait till the next time I visit!

Food was lovely! The only thing that I didn't like. There are too many tables downstairs and no clear walk ways. I had to move furniture to enable my daughter to pass through with her walking frame to get to a table

One of my favourite Wetherspoons. You always get great value here. Light touch re staff. Amazing building with great architecture. Toilets are on the ground floor so easily accessible. Car park accross the road on top of the market is free so don't be put off if concerned about that.
