Good Service with a smile, very polite. I was with a group of friends that recently went to a funeral, though the place we wanted to go to was full. The Brewers Fayre welcomed us and found a small and quite area to sit and talk. A few of the group had meals and looking at them they looked very nice. The waiter serving, did a very good job of understanding and giving a great service. Highly Recommended 👍

Came here last week so my little girl could play whilst waiting for food! Fab little play area too keep the kids occupied without having to try and keep them seated so they aren’t distracting the other diners! We had the sharer platter for starters and mixed grill for mains, both perfectly Cooked! The lady who working in the play area is amazing at her job! She’s was absolutely fab with each and every one of the kids in there! Even got in the play area herself haha! Thank you for a lovely evening! We’ll be back!

Very nice visit and meal. It wasn't busy and had a nice atmosphere. On arrival we were told which tables were available and to choose which one we wanted. It was order at the bar as well . I had the sweet potato chickpea curry and it was nice. It could've been a slightly larger portion for the price. My husband had the winner chicken dinner. He enjoyed the meal, but his also could've been a larger portion. We both had room for a dessert and both ordered the black forest sundae (vegan). It was nice and had a lot of black cherries and sauces. We had a good experience today.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. They appeared under staffed so clearly very busy. The food was very good and promptly served. The new menu has better options. I also had breakfast here which was also very good. Clean tables were available and finished tables were cleaned immediately after it was vacated. I would definitely eat here again.

Had a good chicken burger last night, served by the delightful Emma, and then came in for the breakfast this morning which was fantastic! Best breakfast I've had in a while and I'm a truck driver, so I've had plenty! 😂🤟🏼

We regularly come here for breakfast with four children it works out very reasonably at £20 for all six of us to eat breakfast. We visited this evening for an evening meal. Although it was a busy evening the wait wasn't to long and the food was very tasty and all arrived hot . The team are always very friendly although as a wheelchair user it would be nice if staff had offered to move a chair so that I could get to the table. Otherwise highly recommended 👌

Took a group of residents for the festive menu, we had the 2 courses, and the food was really nice, although they did struggle a little with the carrots and Brussels as they were a little hard, which I appreciate is how they should be served. The staff were amazing, from the manager and serving staff, they were so helpful and even gave time to make them smile. Highly recommend

Good food. Still needs new toasters as machine is mega slow but has been for years.friendly staff. Choice and quality of fresh fruit to be desired. Overall a fair breakfast. Place could do with a deep clean too.

Brilliant experience. The staff made the evening brilliant and went the extra mile for us- from keeping the play area for an extra few minutes ( we didn’t realise they had one til we got there!) to being incredibly helpful behind the bar and the table service, I couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be coming again.

Food was OK, but you could tell who's meal was done first, it was not hot and the burger bun had over crisped under the heat lamp. We were seated over by the kids play area being given the reason it had just closed and should be quiet, but given there was still a party of kids there who were frustrated the play area had closed it unfortunately wasn't. The prices are good, however I could get a marstons or wetherspoons for the same price and have more pleasant time.

We like Brewers Fayre. We use them frequently. The food here was not as good as we expected it to be. It could be that the breakfast deals they do put their normal lunches in the shade. Seemed to be the case with us today.

Ok ill start with the positives the service is great and the carvery was great. However they do not do sausage and mash in a giant yorkie anymore absolute classic and my go to meal why get rid of it???? Also my child went to the play area and got chased by a group of kids she kept telling them to stop she was sobbing i said tell the grown up in charge. She apparently did and she didnt do anything and they kept picking on her. So I tried talking to the grown up in charge about how kids were bullying my child and she looked at us like we were thick when we explained everything and she proceeded to do precisely nothing. Like is there no safeguarding at all? Took my child out asap she was so scared and upset she was holding onto me sobbing this was supposed to be a treat

We had a comfortable meal for Korean group tourists visiting. The parking space is also large and the facilities inside the restaurant are clean.

Went here for the first time last week, with my partner, as had received a voucher. Free parking, but need to register your vehicle, as there's a Premier Inn next door. We were seated quickly and chose from the menu. You order at the bar, where you receive your drinks. The food didn't take long to come out, but was obviously cooked fresh. I had the smothered chicken, which was delicious and my partner had the gammon, which comes with a choice of pineapple, egg or both, which he enjoyed. I had the jam roly poly for dessert, as it's one of my favourites. This was lovely, but needed more custard. We would visit here again, as it's a good location (just a few minutes off the M65) and we both enjoyed the food.

We had two meals there. The first a evening meal was fine. Nothing fancy but hot and tasty. The music was very loud but it was turned down on request. The breakfast was less pleasing. We had the continental and took it at 9, so mid session. Very little left lots of empty trays. No maple syrup or marmalade left. We asked for those and more milk. Staff were pleasant and happy to check. We had to reject several plates/bowls from stack as not clean. The eating area was tidy with tables clean. But the decorative shelves and lampshades where dusty. What we did eat was fine. But given the limited selection im glad I had my blue light card discount as it would be overpriced at full price.

The food was nice. Jenny, taking the food order was very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Only negative points were, parents in the restaurant not checking their children, so noise level was extreme at times and unsupervised children were playing football around cars and running around the back of cars as they were parking. Pubs need to be child friendly, but parents need to be responsible for their children, perhaps staff could have advised on this.

4 of us went last Monday for an early evening meal. I must say we all was very pleased with the staff and service. We was asked whether we would prefer table service or go to the bar ourselves to order.,which was very good. . Our meals were served up hot and all four enjoyed what we had. All round a most pleasant relaxing evening.

Was OK. Don't want to critic too hard as we all know the hospitality industry is recovering. But it wasn't great. Carvery was extremely expensive for frozen mixed veg and shoe leather beef, sliced by a girl that was lovely but had absolutely no knife skills. I ordered a burger, and it was decent, but haphazardly put together. I would guess that there isn't a chef in the kitchen, but kitchen assistants, and without the core skills set of a chef it will always struggle. If there was a chef in the kitchen I think you need to look at your standards and team training.

Went for the unlimited breakfast. Due to restrictions, you just say which breakfast items you'd like and how much of them. The sausages weren't great, but everything else was good.

Mostly, I find The Oakenhurst fine. We like to go when it's quiet, often at lunchtime after the first rush. The other day I ordered fish, chips and peas. When the meal arrived I was apprehensive. The fish was well done, so much so that it arched up considerably. I said to my partner, Is that a fish or a humpbacked whale ! I thought it might have been left over from the night before. The portents weren't good when they gave me a steak knife with the meal, and boy, did I need it ! It was as tough as old boots. I only had a stab at eating it because I'd missed breakfast. Not good. Everything else was good, the chips, peas, drinks. The service was pretty good too, as tends to be the case. OK, I'm hoping this is a one off and it's not put us off returning. I'll just not have the fish again for a while.

I went to organise a birthday party for my son in the soft play area, at extremely short notice. The staff were amazingly helpful, all questions answered and answered, I can't thank them enough, life savers. FROM a tired and grumpy daddy

Went for Breakfast, excellent unlimited cooked or continental breakfast for under £10pp. Buffet style with continental and you get your own toast and drinks. Staff super friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Friendly welcoming staff. Soup was nice, a pity about the skinny bread that came with it. The mixed Grill went down well, though the mash was quite dry/cloggy to eat and the Yorkshire pudding was very crispy. The brownies were soft, not as I’d expected. The breakfast was nice the morning after though the latte wasn’t hot, more on the tepid side. Though I would eat here again, overall experience was good.

Had breakfast here before travelling back to Scotland. The lady who was our server was really friendly and helpful, food came out delicious and piping hot. My only small mediocre complaint is the coffee out the machine comes out luke warm but other wise top notch breakfast

It was my first time here- visiting with my Wife. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Only criticism is that despite a very warm welcome from a brilliant member of staff (who we didn't see again later on) service was lacking at times. I'd definitely happily come back another time and hopefully have a better time service wise.

We were guests at the Premier Inn and had the breakfast included, the continental one was buffet service and it was lovely, although, the full English which was also included in the price, was poor. We got ours served to the table but later on they shifted to buffet.. Maybe the quality on the buffet was better, I hope. I ordered veg sausage, was undercooked, poached egg rubbery on one side rubbery on the other, bacon was microwaved, hash browns oily and raw.. Terrible.. mushrooms and beans were the only thing OK. The scrambled eggs were terrible the whole breakfast seemed to have been cooked just leaving the plate under hot display instead of actual cooking... The service and staff were lovely though, we also had some bites for dinner yesterday evening and was OK. So sorry the breakfast was very disappointing.
