I went to walk the dogs whilst the Mrs went to the dentist. A lot of parks nowadays suffer from neglect, lack of investment and vandalism. Mercer park bucks the trend. I enjoyed the well tended lawns and separate garden areas. The bowling green looked smart, there was little litter and plenty of things for children and a skate park. The impressive house in the park hasnt any signs up saying what it is or why it's there and I wonder if it's even used. Would make a good tea shop I reckon. If you're ever in the area check this park out. On a sunny day it was very pleasant

Needs a lot of improvement in the infrastructure playground is old and dated. Would be much better with a new bigger playground. A miniature railway would work well here too. Was loads better in the past.

Mercer Park like many parks in the area are looking pristine at the moment thanks to the hard work of the parks department and wet summer. Plants are beginning to die back now but I am sure they have brought joy to many as they have walked through the park

I like taking the grandkids here, it's got 2 playgrounds, 1 for little ones & one for older children. There's a skate park, football courts, large open grassy areas, and it's clean & tidy. It's nice even to just wander around.

A lovely park to walk through, lots of paths cross crossing. There is a basketball/football court & small skate park. In one corner there are swings etc for young children .

Went to watch bowling. Weather great, sun was shining, sun trap. Very chilled out watching the bowls

Nice planning with the flowers. The War Memorial is striking, and the Park's meandering paths make a change from the usual straight lines. It also feels a little claustrophobic. Hemmed in by residential streets on every side, it feels trapped. And, apart from the flowers, there simply isn't much to look at.

Beautiful park, something for everyone. Kids areas, grassy areas for dogs with lots of poo bins, bowling green, bits of history, sensory garden and lots of plants and trees. Took a picture of the beautiful apple blossom this morning, unusual in that today is only the 1st March and its in full bloom.

Great for picnics and easter egg hunts with little kids. Nice big and little park although sometimes innapropriately used by some older children but not always. There is a skate park, bowling green, sports courts and exercise equipment too.

Mercer park is small, quiet and well maintained park, suitable for all ages. There is a playground (swings, slide), skate park, an enclosed football pitch, a bowling green, a small garden and outdoor gym equipment. There is plenty of benches scattered along the pathways, but most are not sheltered. It is also a favourite location for local dog walkers.

I type whilst sipping a de-caf cup of tea, And strangely no flies here to pester the mind, or the served delicacies. Lovely serene area, with many beautiful souls passing to say a peaceful hi or Hello. Dressed in mellow yellow, the sun admires my audacity, but we're not here to see, feel, or sense the wonders of the world, no, We're here because we are free to roam, in a civilised community, that respects the norm. Every other breathing heart should belong to a home, they know as home. Free Palestine.

👍👍 What a hidden Gem. I only live 20 mins away but never knew it existed until one of its patrons and antiquarian Eric Knowles mentioned it whilst he appeared on pointless celebrities. There were some great artwork exhibits too
