Called here fri evening 6pm & the place was virtually empty. Poppadoms arrived within a minute, quite standard fayre, the pickles were the minimum in quality, quantity & variety. Chicken puree starter was different, the chicken wasn't in a mild curry sauce as is the norm, but still tasted decent. The 3 'lamb' chop starter was awful, the meat was not fresh, 60% of this dish was uneaten. The main of saag ghost (upon ordering I clarified that it was lamb) was truly ghastly, the 'lamb' was inedible, 95%of this dish was left. The chicken tika main, chicken dry, rice barely warm(slightly worrying if reheated) the medium curry sauce was tasty, we shared this one dish. Garlic naan bread had a piece of unmelted garlic butter in the middle & was average. Chapati OK though quite thick and dense. After the table was cleared we were given the mandatory hot towel and not asked if would like to see the desert menu. I caught the eye of two staff over the next ten minutes but non arrived at our table. We therefore approached the bar & paid our bill at a fraction over £50 which included two cobra & a diet coke. Whilst the staff were friendly and polite they at no point asked if our food was OK. Even more shocking is that there is no correlation between staff and chefs.... There are large quantities of uneaten food going back into their kitchen and this didn't ring alarm bells, basic golden rules. We left very disappointed and I hungry.

Booked a table and got sat in the conservatory. The table had little red mites crawling around so we asked to move. We waited around 25 minutes. We finally got a new table and we’re served the starters which consisted of two extremely small onion bhajis. The main meal was alright except for the fact my partner was very ill the next day. The desserts range was very small, either cheese cake or chocolate cake and you could tell they were store bought. For £13 it’s not bad but very minimal effort put into the food.

This is my local Indian restaurant. I've dined-in and taken-out many, many times before. On this occasion, we booked in for the Sunday buffet at £12.95. It's not really a buffet; it's a fixed meal based on a limited menu. Some of the portions were cut down too. For example, the rice and starter portion sizes were definitely smaller than you would have got if you had ordered them separately from the menu. We had a party of 10 made up of adults and kids. One of the children opted out which left 9 of us for the buffet. On ordering, I was told that I couldn't have a naan bread because it was one between two and there was only 9 of us. No alternative was offered, other than paying for one at full price. I felt a bit disappointed by the pettiness, given that we were a party of 10 eating and drinking (lager north of £4 a pint and god knows how much for Bacardi and cokes). The staff member tried to convince me that the food was already discounted, but as I've already explained above, it wasn't quite the generous discount they were making out. Even less so given that there was no naan bread in the deal. Overall, a tainted experience, which cost me £2.75, and the Usha 3 stars.

Absolutely faultless! Just about the best Indian meal we have ever had. The service was friendly and courteous, food was divine. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Service was terrible We went for a family occasion and my wife was charged £15 for rice, chips and naan, they made her pay full price. We much prefer the agra but had to go here as was booked by someone else. Many of us were disappointed and won't be going back. Food and drink prices are ridiculous here and the food, especially the starter on the set menu is microwaved. Not worth 1 star but it wouldn't let me do 0

I have been to many Indian Restaurants over the years but I have to say I think Usha rates as one of the best I have been to, their food is excellent staff really friendly especially Faz, and all at a great price. It's one of those places that you can venture away from your goto meal and try an alternative, I always do and so far have never been disappointed. Keep up the good work guys.

Long time customer of 10 plus years. Recently ordered our usual takeaway only to get home and find the food inedible, the meals were disgusting and nothing like I had ever received before. I rang them straight up to let them know, thinking that perhaps there had been some type of mistake. However I was rudely spoken to and told that the food was perfectly fine. How he came to this conclusion over the phone I have no idea. In the end I re-attended usha and gave the food back so they could see for themselves, even a quick look would've shown the consistency and colour being different to usual. They did offer to make the food again, saying it would just be the same, this was not something I wanted so I was issued a refund. It is not so much the poor food, as I would accept once every now and then a mistake is made. But the rudeness and denial from the staff that made out I was lying which means I will no longer be going back. Shame.

Really bad takeaway last night, I'm not convinced any of it was actually fresh or made in house? Madrass sauce shouldn't be sickly sweet and taste literally like heinz tomato soup with just 4 prawns in it. All of the breads were hard, dry and tasted floury, I have never had a chapati that looked or tasted like the one given last night. Prawn puri bread was rock hard. Sad to be writing this as the place has obviously gone down hill massively, no other customers in when I went in which I thought was odd. I would never waste my money here again. A shame as it used to be well known for a good curry but it seems I'm not the only one to have this experience.

Their 'medium' curries tend to be slightly on the hot side I found, but are still nice. It prompted next time to get a mild one from the Chef Specialities, a chicken or lamb dish (the name of the dish escape a me - I went for lamb) which is made with cream, mangos, nuts. Honestly, probably the best curry I've enjoyed in a very long time. I'll be coming back more often.

Used to a buffet where you help yourself. They advertise Sunday buffet but it's a set menu with choice of mains. Daughter not a red meat eater so kebabs etc were no good for her. As bigger tables came in service got slower. All in all average no need to rush going back.

Always an absolute pleasure this place to visit. The Sunday buffet is all delicious & excellent value for money. The place is always packed out. 4pm is an ideal time to arrive without having to book a table for 2. Table for 5 - 8 - 12 better off booking always really busy after 5pm early curry heaven seekers will be able to catch a table for two's before 4pm - 5pm. A warm welcome awaits, always friendly greeting from hardworking staff.

Went for their Sunday buffet. You get to choose from a selection of main meals. I had mixed masala which TBH had a lot food colouring but lacked flavour. The day we visited the weather was appalling and the conservatory was out of action due to leaks. Also, it seemed like the main heating was out of action as portable gas heaters were in use - these heaters do have a gassy smell. All in all the food was hot on a cold winters day, so hit the spot all at a reasonable price for what you get. Would we go again? I’m afraid not, in preference it’s the Agra for us - sorry.

Went to usha with my mum just the two of us. Too a while for someone to come and take our order. Was a Sunday and we didn't know it was like a buffet style menu. We asked one of the staff if there was another menu which there was. We didn't want to have the buffet as it was limited. When the food came it was piping hot and very tasty. Had to flag down staff as they were more drawn to the big groups. Out meal was let down because of the rowdy people there that were clearly getting drunk rather than enjoying a meal. Seen some people in there smoking on vapes am sorry I don't smoke but I don't want to be around vapes either. If this was a bar in town you would be asked to go outside. There were family's with there children which am sure they don't want there kid having to breath vape in. Would I go here again not so sure, shame really as the food was nice. Staff freindly but lacking.

good food at a good price. was part of a big party and the waiters dealt well with everyone particulary as half the table kept leaving for a smoke. The food was good and plenty of it. one member had the wrong meal ordered for her (as we preplaced them due to the number) and within minutes the staff brought this out. I have dropped one star as there were no descriptions of what was in the meals. I ordered a Jaljushi as i like to try new dishes but had no idea what to expect other than it being very hot. It was very nice.

Strict reviewer here. Poppadom were very appetising as per usual indian restaurant. The chilli chutney dip was buzzing and fresh. I was going to order more fish masala starters as they were very addictive but needed to leave space for the mains ?. Chicken jalfrezi heavily recommended, especially with chilli garlic naan bread. For desserts there was a good selection of choices but I was too stuffed! So I'd leave that for next time. Only recommendation would be to make an improvement on the onion chutney as there are other restaurants that have better tasting onion chutney. Overall, everything was perfect. Will definitely be back.

We managed to finally book a table and the staff were friendly and welcoming, I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious, full of flavour. Reasonable prices only downside is when booking you need to be first come first served as this place gets really busy and it's like trying to get the crown jewels but once you do manage to get booked in it is worth it. Defo be back what amazing curries they have.

Went on Sunday for the buffet, 5 adults and one child. Food was standard, very fast and food did taste alright. It’s just a shame with the price we paid for the meal, we have all been poorly since eating the food.

Spent 63.50 on a takeaway but unfortunately it was not good. Salad wasn't fresh and shami kebabs were very bland the biriani was tasteless,on a positive the poppadoms were good but we certainly won't be a repeat customer,30 min after eating I was in the toilet bringing it back up Very disappointing 😞

First time we have tried here to say its very local to where we live, the poppadoms and chutneys came out fairly quickly but then mains took ages to arrive and then fudge cake came out tasting very stale and only after asking for it twice. We twice tried to order Rose wine and got white wine, so clearly not Rose. The fudge cake came out with no choice of cream just ice cream. For some reason staff seemed to forget the set menu and also forgot the coffee at the end. To say the place was fairly quiet and lots of staff about. Still mistakes or lack of attentiveness seem to have happened, as I said we are locals but very much doubt we will return

My partner and I have just returned home from a lovely meal and had a fabulous night! We were placed at our table and had our order taken within minutes. The food was absolutely lovely and really generous portion sizes. The staff are super friendly and make an effort to get to know you and have a good laugh! The atmosphere is great, we felt really relaxed and enjoyed our evening. Great value for money and we can't wait to return. Thank you all for a pleasant evening! 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very disappointing. After being out of the uk for some time I thought that I would order takeout from what was once my favourite Indian in East Lancashire. However, I was left extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. The mixed kebab consisted of 6 mini onion bhajis and two chicken wings…this is not my definition of a mixed kebab. The curry was okay but nothing special. Used to be so much better.

We came for the so called Sunday buffet, which is actually a 4 course meal consisting of a tiny starter (pictured) served with no effort and plated up carelessly. Thinking this was a buffet, we asked for some more poppadoms however the rude waiter told us we'd be full enough once finished. The main course was better than expected, but the standard was brought back down after the shop bought dessert (tasteless). Overall the staff we encountered were rude and very rushed to get you both in and out. I do not recommend Usha Burnley.
