Worst appointment system ever. Told to call at 8 am, wait in queue only to be told there are no appointments left, this has happened 3 days in a row. Also we must call at exactly 8 everyday, it’s not acceptable to them if you call anytime after that in the same hour. When you do get through, they have the worst receptionist staff. Extremely rude. In 2021 a surgery in a position of care apparently doesn’t have an appointment system that would allow any bookings with your GP a day in advance. It has a 15-20 minute window at 8am. What rubbish!! Oh and not to mention when you do get an appointment, it will be with a nurse over the phone and not with a GP as expected. What a waste of time. This surgery should be shut down.

Been with this surgery my whole life and over the past year it has become dreadful. I call up bang on 8am and they turn the phone lines off so you can't even wait in a queue. I can never get an appointment and when you do the doctor just google your symptoms. GPs like this are the reason A&Es are over run. Absolutely shocking.

I feel most of the female surgery receptionists I've spoke too need to go on a customer service course, awfully rude and unwelcoming. The doctor I saw was a "doctor in training" and I felt that the treatment offered was possibly not the best solution. I'm all for people learning but when their looking through a search engine portal to see treatments, uncertainty comes to mind on their abilities. I was a new patient and am going to request a move elsewhere.

Only because I can’t give a zero stars rating. Arrogant receptionist, with zero people skills means we are moving to a new doctors asap. In the last five years I’d be lucky if 50% of prescription instructions were followed for pickup at the chemists. Doctors inly half listen whist looking up your treatment/symptoms on patient web. Lucky they don’t do party organisations at breweries!!!

Sorry to say but this Surgery is one of the worst Surgery. I have drop my travel vaccination Forum on month before and receptionist told me I will get phone call after 2 week I rang to ask about it then again receptionist said on of the nurs will call me. I have received call from nurs to let me know they can not give vaccination for me and my kids and wife they don't have appointment . And I have to take privately and that cost me £240 .

I attended for a scan recently, unfortunately I was met with a totally inept and rude offhand member of the Reception Staff, I was left for over an hour as she forgot to book me in, despite arriving 10 mins early as asked on my letter and showing her my appointment letter. The waiting area had dirty seats and windows and they failed to follow the most basic covid checks on some patients arriving at the surgery ie temperature checks, who were left to cough and splutter among the others sat in the waiting area. I received multiple apologies later, however this is just not good enough.

I started ringing at 7.59 to get appointment on the day. I tried 19 times up till 08:30. I finally got someone to answer but was told all appointments had now been taken. How frustrating. Otherwise I have found the practice fairly good.

I was referred to the DVT clinic here by Royal Blackburn Hospital's Urgent Care Department. The waiting room was pleasant and had a calming atmosphere. The members of staff who dealt with me were all pleasant and very professional. The initial consultation was quick and uncomplicated, the leg scan went well and the consultation with Katherine was very well conducted. I felt reassured and well cared for throughout my visit. I have had subsequent telephone calls from the staff asking about my state of health so I feel well cared for.

Having difficulty getting to my appointment, being lost and stressed. The staff of Roe Lea Surgery went above and beyond the call of duty. They were professionally impressive and kindness personified. Thank you so very much the NHS has struck gold with you.

I have been with this surgery for over 30 years and seen many changes!! I have to say that I find the support that I receive is excellent. I know that getting through to make an appointment to see a doctor can be tedious and a faff but I generally get to see someone within a day or two. There are times when to do this I’ve seen the practice or prescribing nurse which means at least I’m able to see a medically trained professional quickly. This is followed by a doctors appointment if necessary. Hats off to the guy who answers the phone (are they still called receptionist?) He is always polite, patient and does his best to help with a cheery disposition 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Well I've got to say I always get a good service here at Raleigh surgery. This is a busy surgery and they cater for lots of different medical procedures. I find the stuff on the hall are superb to deal with. The nursing team are fantastic. The doctors are good and I do find that they do try to be helpful. Well done team .

Awful all round, ring at 8 and never get through by the time you do get through to someone they just say all appointments have gone call tomorrow. Once you do get through and offered something it’s just a phone call appointment instead of a face to face. Looking to move elsewhere

The telephone receptionist needs training in manners or if she doesn't like her job leave and someone else can take over, manners don't cost much dear, not worthy of a star I'm afraid
