We have previously enjoyed food from Wok Star. Tonight the chicken in the curry tasted sour, as if it had gone off. Both my husband and myself ate a couple of pieces before putting in the bin. I wasn't going to, but decided I should ring to complain. Was told we couldn't have a refund, though they must know we have ordered food before and been satisfied, but if we took meals back, they would replace. After our experience, we couldn't eat anything anyway, so told them we just won't go there again. Hopefully we won't have any ill effects.

I've been eating here for years and had nothing to complain about, ever. The food tastes great and fresh, and I love the service - the girl who had answered the phone was extremely polite, and delivery took around 25 minutes.

Now where do I start? Well firstly let me say I had no option but to give one star, as it won’t let you continue without a star. My husband and I have been going to Wokstar since it opened, which is a good while ago. The last few times we have had re-heated chips and the meals have been warmish. However, one evening we decided to ring and make a complaint. I asked for my money back and I gave the meal back. After a few weeks we decided to give them another chance, to our shock the young lady who I have to say is always very polite, rang us back to say the owner will not serve us and we are not allowed to order again from them. So we feel that if you can’t take criticism and basically have to ban a customer because their food wasn’t up to standard it’s a poor do. Moreover, after all them years we have been a customer and this is what they return back to you, it’s a disgrace. The cost of food was over £30 and they didn’t refund all of it like they said they did. Maybe all them times we have had chips that have tasted funny and rubbery because they have been warmed up a few times over, I should have complaint but I didn’t. So it just goes to show what kind of people they are who own this business. I am a nurse and I work very hard for my money and if something isn’t right why can’t I complain without being punished for it. Anyway they have done us a big favour, no more warmed up chips for us anymore!!! One thing I will stay NO STARS FOR THE OWNERS, and FIVE STARS FOR THE YOUNG GIRL WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE AND RANG US BACK.. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!!!!!!

We have always ordered from wok star never had a cold or bad meal yet. Sometimes your wait can be a hour or so but that tells me the food is being prepared fresh. No complaints whatsoever.

We’ve used Wokstar for 12 years & rarely had a problem (& when we have it’s been rectified with great customer service)…tonight I was told that the food would be 45 minutes. I rang them after an hour to be told that it was out for delivery and ‘it’s just an estimate, we can’t guarantee what time it will get to you’. Wokstar is a 7 minute drive away from our house & 15 minutes after I phoned to chase up, it still hadn’t arrived & I phoned again. This time I was told ‘everyone is in the same boat, we’re really busy’. …the attitude of the person I spoke to on both occasions will ensure that they aren’t busy for much longer… If we’d been told that it was going to take an hour and a half when we first placed the order, we could’ve made a decision about whether we actually wanted to wait that long or try somewhere else. (I’m guessing that’s why we weren’t told it was going to be an hour & a half) The food was faultless, but if they’re going to lie to me from the minute I place the order, I won’t be in a rush to order from them again.

Well where do I start they was rasist to me at first nd well the food is disgusting the worst Chinese food in blackburn makes me sick 😷 well Anyways I’ve never ordered of wok star in years and as I ring up tonight to make an order there not aloud to sever or deliver to us ? I stopped ordering years ago because i got food poising and found a finger nail in my food but I thought maybe tonight I’ll give them a chance when the lady had answered the phone she was rude she told me not to ring here again so I rung back a few times and she finally answered me and I asked her her problem and to speak to the manager and she wouldn’t let me talk to the manager she was being very rude and disrespectful she was being very very racsist wouldn’t me order because am a traveler witch is very disrespectful and rude you can keep your food cause I’ll never order again nd I’ll make sure no one ever does again you disgusting Human being you should be ashamed of yourself 🤮🤮🤮 there price is ridiculous there food is like dog food I definitely do not recommend I was only ringing yous because my local is closed 🤢

I don't know what has happened to this place. We order regularly from here but won't be doing again. Last time we ordered it took well over an hour.. Ordered tonight at 5.15..tried 45 times to ring to see we're it was no answer.. Boyfriend rang on his phone they answered straightaway 2hours of waiting to be told it had been delivered to another address.. This place has gone down hill in my opinion

First time ordering in 5 months after a very pleasant ordeal with a new phone operator at the time. Decided to give it another go as it had been a while and my normal chinese was far too busy. The food arrived pretty quick considering I was told 1 hour at least but somehow still arrived cold which was concerning and the quality was average if not poor. I’m really disappointed with how down hill this chinese has got. I used to order regular and I think it’s safe to say after a second try after a bad experience I will not order again!

READ BEFORE ORDERING!! Payed £36 to enjoy a takeaway as a change, when we rang to order there was a big miscommunication from a chinese women on the other end who didn’t understand a word. the soup came and tasted just of water with chilli and had to add my own soy sauce and vinegar to make it edible. we ordered salt and pepper chips, chicken wings, hot and sour soup, prawn toast, spring rolls,satay chicken and all of it was disgusting, chips hard in the middle and soggy, tasteless. spring rolls were stodgy and tasteless ,chicken wings tasted sour like they where off ,prawn toast was tasteless and burnt same as the satay chicken. £35 is a weeks work of shopping spent on a horrendous chinese. we tried one of everything we ordered and the rest is in the bin ,, save your money !!! we resorted to cereal and it was better than anything we tried!! THANKYOU TO THE ENGLISH WOMEN WHO RANG US BACK TO CONFIRM THE ADDRESS AND EMEND THE ORDER x

This is the best takeaway in the area. The food is always amazing and the delivery is quick. Great service 10/10

Absolutely lovely food. One of my personal favourites is the chilli salt chips (especially when I'm looking for something quick and tasty - they're perfectly seasoned and crispy, making for a satisfying snack or side dish. The sweet and sour chicken is also a standout menu item for me personally, with tender chunks of chicken coated in a tangy sauce. This paired with a rice dish is utter perfection 👍 Additionally the chinese chocolate buns in syrup is one of which I order the most - it's crispy on the outside contrasted with a soft inside, whilst being sweet.

Good food, will definitely come again. Although I usually eat Inazuma cuisine, I like to eat the chinese food from here from time to time. The food here is actually quite nice. I ordered the banana fritter as I like sweets (especially popsicles) and some chips, egg fried rice and singapore rice noodle. Delicious and I'll say it again, delicious.

This place is tops...fresh...just cooked to.perfection....delivered ready to eat and on time...can taste every veg and meat content Are the chefs Mitchelin ......they should be...Well done ✔ Pollution

It's amazing in almost every way! I mean... What more can I say? I often come here with my friends and they, including me, loves it!

You always have long wait has they are always busy which proves how good they are few chefs aswell.

Been best part of 5 or 6 years since I last tried. Was really nice food, hot and sour soup was class and the crispy shredded chicken was class to.

Best Cantonese food in Blackburn. Delivery is fast. Food is hot and delicious. Have missed a few items from my order a few times but always either drop it off or give me extras next time I order.
