Large fish are actually 50% soggy undercooked batter, disgusting. Plus our order was missing 2x curry sauces. Not the first time this has happened so we won't buy from here again.

Omg omg had a mixed kebab in nan bread, garlic sauce & salad was absolutely amazing and so fresh.

I had disgusting chicken tikka kebab with MOLD🤮🤮🤮 on the meat from that "takeaway". I can only recommend if you want food poisoning🤢. I will never buy from that place again.

12 quid odd for fish that taste like my ex and chips that well I've seen more structure in a collapsed bridge, the curry sauce taste was, well.. There wasn't any taste just bits in your mouth, very unpleasant after "1" mouthful and to round this off the 1 star was for the seemingly Flat can of coca cola you gave me to compliment the mess you served me to eat. 👍 Looking forward to your reply.

Ordered from here many times. Food is great staff on the phone are rude! Just called to place an order for delivery, for the staff to say rudely "we'll you didn't say that" in a sarcastic manner. I just put the phone down hope the owner realises the staff on the phone are giving his business a bad look.

Second time ordering from this place, order came but was missing an item which we rang up about, they apologised and sent the item straight away with a free bottle of pop great way to keep customers happy and the food was brilliant.

Had large fish from here several times and the portions are large as described. However on this evenings occasion I returned with what can only be less than standard sized fish. The replacements on opening them were no bigger. Not happy, paid top price for large fish and received rather less. Just be aware that you receive what you order or go elsewhere. In response to the reply below. With respect, resolving your supply issue tomorrow has no benefit to me. I still paid for a large fish and didn't get what I paid for. I have been a regular customer for a while and was disappointed with the fish portion I received. What do you propose to recompense this unhappy customer.

Ordered fish and chips for myself and salt and pepper chicken for my daughters, loved it to bits. Didn't expect both things to be this delicious to be honest. Taste and quality both were outstanding!! Definitely gonna be our favourite friday night takeout.

I always go to Ightenhill as I know their fish and chips is always spot on. They’ve got great variety of food on the menu as well and I’ve never once had any problems when I’ve ordered from them. Keep up the great service to the community guys 👍🏽

Have visited twice, about a month apart and both on Saturdays at 8pm ish. Staff pleasant. Fish cooked to order and not at silly prices. Tasted smashing. Chips soft and fresh. Superb really.

Usually a decent chippy but not impressed tonight at all, chips are hard and chewy as if they've been sat for hours, curry sauce is powdery..fish was OK...mixed kebab donner meat was cold and chicken not the best...sorry but definitely won't be using again

Pretty good! I always set my expectations low when trying a new chippy but I was pleasantly surprised! Had a few things on the menu, like salt and pepper chips and kebabs, to spice it up from a traditional chippy menu. curry sauce slightly bland and chicken breast a touch dry, but all in all, yeah.. I'd go again for sure!

Clean chippy. The fish and chips is a must. Curry sauce is also a must. Can’t believe how good they are. No seating.

Just been for fish and chips . Worst meal I’ve ever had from there , fish was nearly all batter , chips were ‘old’ hard bits . Not impressed. I am a little disappointed the shop has not had the decency to reply .

can’t fault the fish and chips …. but why do we have ti buy large fish and chips when i only want a normal size fish and chips ,,, 3 times now had large fish and chips and thrown half of it away. , so when i ask again for normal fish and chips they say only got large !!!! see ya later

I'm a NHS worker and the Ightenhill fish bar gave amazing telephone service, half price for being nhs staff and I was able to preorder a delivery for when I finished work which was at my door on time with amazing food. Amazing fish bar. I thank you so much. You was here for us in these hard times

Lovely clean fish and chip shop. Dry crispy chips which is how we like them ! Friendly staff too.

Went a couple of months ago and it was ok. Went tonight at teatime, the chips were white and needed cooking longer. The curry sauce had the consistency of water and the fish was mainly greasy batter. Wont be going back.

Expensive. Got fish and chips twice. Most if it went in the bin. Wont be going back Chips dry and bitty. Fish looked good, but tasted different . Thick at one end,so thin and dried up at other end.

We started ordering on the Just Eat app during lockdown. We were thrilled by the standard of our first delivery but unfortunately the food has steadily gone down in standard. Today, the fish was soggy and the chips were soft and a very strange grey colour. Won’t be going back.

Just one word for the fish and chips and that's VILE. Clearly they haven't improved in the last nine months. Large fish soggy 50% batter, chips that would break your teeth, goodness knows how times they have been re cooked. Waste of 13 quid.

Just had takeaway tea, with a variety of food orders. By the time collection came, they had sold out of wraps but gave me a call and swopped for something else. All the food was enjoyed by all. Thank you for providing your service, much appreciated .

What lovely food. Ordered a variety of fish, chips, fishcakes etc for 5 people. Portions arw very generous, fresh and piping hot. You've never seen a chippy as spotless as this either! Will definitely be going back

Would have been 4 but cannot work out why their idea of a buttered tea cake is a little splat on one side...are times that hard

This place is amazing , we called in because we fancied fish chips and mushy peas....O.M.G this place is to die for really nice really clean lovely staff i have eaten in a lot of places but this ...THIS is the BEST in lancashire i think never will i ever go else where we now go every weekend almost just talking about it makes me want to have fish chips and mushy oeas with plenty of salt and vinigar ohhhiiii
