I recently visited Ainsworth jewellers in search of an engagement ring for my partner. I had travelled to numerous towns and perused multiple other jewellers previously but had left disappointed. However, when I arrived at Ainsworths I knew instantly that this was what I was looking for. There was a lovely selection of rings and everybody was extremely helpful and pleasant. I personally spoke with Helen who took genuine interest in myself and my partner and helped guide me to find what I was looking for. I was not pressured into making a decision nor pestered - which is where other shops had let themselves down! I bought a beautuful ring after an hour or so and later discovered I had to revisit to have the ring resized slightly. However, this was no trouble and I was dealt with extremely expeditiously and professionally. Highly recommended if you want quality of care and quality of jewellery. I only met Phil recently and asked him about an automatic Swiss watch my dad bought me 45 yrs ago and which hadn't worked for 20+ yrs. I had been told previously that it was 'beyond repair'. Phil took it, repaired it and replaced some parts and so I have my watch back in perfect working order. To say I'm delighted would be an understatement !! I also think the cost was reasonable; so based on my experience, I would recommend Ainsworth's to anyone in a similar situation. Great service, great result and all done with a smile. Exceptional, An absolute pleasure to experience the quality of service offered here, I had a jewlery repair undertaken on a delicate ring that was snapped in the middle and slightly bent on one side. To say it looks as good as new is an understatement, As a bonus it cost far less than I had expected for such a good quality repair The chaps on the phone and behind the counter are absolute gentlemen, I would recommend a visit

Extremely disappointed with customer service and workmanship of repair. I bought wedding rings and always had valuations done here. After 'repairing ' expensive watch in their own words patched up best they can it has cost me just short of £200, to have repaired their 'patch up job '. Safe to say I would advise anyone not to take anything worth value as their repairs are not to the standard you expect. As I say extremely disappointed and can say after giving me back and saying good luck finding someone to repair it I have had it repaired to a high standard you would expect of a repair and not patched up! Won't be going back.

Read previous review and was a bit worried but I had a very special ring resized and the service I received was very good and the ring came back looking wow thank you very much.

DON'T EVER COME HERE While getting my ring resized they replaced two of the white sapphire stones with two zirconia gems without my knowledge or without informing me. I have noticed the difference when I received my ring back and raised my concerns but they kept on denying doing anything to the gems. Two fell out within a few days. In the end my fiance managed to sort out a refund however, even after that, they kept on denying the replacement of the gems even though I had it tested by 10 different people from different jewellery stores. The stones HAVE been changed and I am getting my ring fixed elsewhere. Stay away from this place, they're a bunch of liars :) Edit: do sapphires turn into zirconias from the heat? XD Please, I had the stones tested multiple times in multiple locations. Yes you have given me the full refund like I stated above but I'm still not satisfied with the service you've provided. I have trusted you with my ring and I now have to pay more to fix your mistakes in a different jewellery shop and I have to wait way longer than I initially hoped for. At the end of the day I will not be coming back to your store and I will not be recommending it to people because you've lost my trust and I wouldn't trust you with a paper bag.

Last week I went this shop to get my gold coin value he said take 1 week. Today I went in shop he said my coin is not back yet then 2 hours later I went back then he said no one won’t know what is it.. then he offered me a lower value £1000 then I had look BullionVault says worth £1400. This guy is liar
