I visited yesterday for an urgent appointment to check for a detached retina. The symptoms happened at work and I was anxious and eager to have my eye assessed. I was able to arrange an appointment within an hour and a half. From entering the store to leaving I had an excellent experience. Everything was explained to me at every part of the process. Whilst waiting for 15 mins to let the eye drops work I was able to hear how kind and thorough the staff were with their customers and how the staff interacted with each other. Jody who carried out the examination was extremely thorough and explained the results to me on my level. I just want to say a big thank you to Jody and the rest of the team for making a very anxious and concerned client very comfortable and reassured.

Thorough check up by a great Optician and very helpful assistant helped me choose new glasses.

Went into the new spec savers in Accrington, and I was appalled by the attitude of one of the advisors. Asking loudly to everyone if they are paying or benefits customers. Trying to sell the most expensive glasses 1st. Does this woman not know everything is going up in price. Won't be back...

Very friendly staff. Good communication about appointments and when glasses are ready. Didn't have a large selection of large black glasses for me, but that's my personal preference, but my occupational glasses are fantastic. What a difference. Very large clean store.

Went in as my specs just wouldn't sit right and the lady who welcomed me knew just what adjustments were needed. Only took 5 minutes.

The usual typical Specsavers but seemed a lot of staff not many serving but milling around adjusting glasses on racks

I have never had a negative experience with SpecSavers in either Opticians or Audiology(NHS) in all the years I have been a customer and last week I would have given 5stars but this week all that changed. i am not in the best of health and it does put me at a disadvantage with some individuals who take advantage of what they perceive as a weakness. I had the unfortunate encounter with a very negative and rude person who thought it was in her best interests to try and teach me some lessons in the very short time I interacted with her. I am by nature a sociable individual and always greet people with a smile and this is usually reciprocated but not in this case. Anyway suffice to say that this whole encounter had quite an impact on me both mentally and physically and it has put me off ever wanting to go back to this store again.

Caring and professional staff enough room to maneuver wheelchairs. Price range from £19 per pair or from £69 for two pairs.

Brilliant service, all the staff were great. They got my prescription spot on first time. I'll be back when the time comes for my next eye test.

I came in today after being hit in the face with a football. I noted my right side glasses screw/arm was damaged so asked a staff could it be repaired. She was so lovely fixed that side arm and even noted the other side arm was loose so offered to sort that. She had difficulty with the screw so asked a colleague for help. What a lovely person she was so pleasent and kind. Got my glasses sorted and even cleaned my prescription sunglasses which I'd put on whilst they were fixed! 10/10 service.

I never normally leave reviews but dealt with a lady called Natalie who was so helpful, went with broken frames and was literally in and out in 10 mins with fixed glasses! Lovely service couldn’t have asked for better. Thank you

Been going here since I was 3, amazing people who take care of me and know my on going conditions. And spotted something that should not have been thair and due to this they sent me to hospital and saved my life. Now my whole family have our eyes tested here

Went for an appointment today at the Accrington store. All colleagues that dealt with me were absolutely fantastic. Lovely to speak to and very professional throughout. 2 colleagues called Tracy and Miriam, can’t fault them, brilliant. The optician who completed my test was great too but didn’t catch her name :-)

Made an appointment a few days ago, seen on time, very professional eye test and a lovely lady helped me sort out two pairs of glasses. Going back in two weeks for a fitting when my glasses arrive. R

Fast track service, prompt seeing to upon arrival. Most of the time spent was actually choosing what style of glasses to go for.

Surprisingly Great given that it's a small branch in a relatively dead town centre. Customer service is fab and the lady who did my eye test was amazing. This was probably the first eye test I've had in my life where I didn't feel like a number they needed to get through today. She offered me tons of advice about my eye problems and told me about her personal experiences with lasik, which I went on to have done.

Specsavers always been the best bet when have kids , from my experience , always a free pair extra and massive selection

Local Specsavers extra helpful for my needs, very much appreciated. Only place in Accrington I could find that stocked hearing aid batteries.

Phoned them late Saturday afternoon after experiencing a scary episode of double vision. They gave me an appointment for Monday morning and I was checked out. A very helpful optician explained everything to me fully, answering my questions, treating me respectfully and non patronisingly. Can't thank them enough for putting my mind at ease. Full marks!!!

Absolutely useless! Got my prescription wrong last year twice , today picked up 3 pairs , tints all wrong! Promised me dark blue on one pair but hardly any tint at all , other pair forgot to put tint 2 instead of 1 absolutely hopeless ,will never use again !!!!

Even having an appointment waited around for 30 mins. I was told I would have my test by a trainee over the phone the day before to see if I didn't mind. They certainly don't let u forget you have appointments, 5 texts and 2 phone calls in the previous week. If u try on different glasses to choose your own style each pair are put in a box and wiped over for next people. Glasses were ready in 10 days and was told any problems with slippage in the following weeks of wearing them to return and everything would be sorted.

I got my glasses last year, once they arrived I thought id get to try them on but instead someone met me at the door handed me them and that was it. They've never fitted properly. Always slipping off my face. Trying to get in touch with the accrington branch is ridiculous. Phone just rings for over 10minutes then eventually goes dead as noones answered it. Numerous times I've tried. Absolutely stupid, think may be time to change opticians.

Needed a test sooner then I was due they fit me in no problem new glasses wasn't quite right but it was sorted very quickly ,very impressed

Very polite, I visited for hearing Test. I'm deaf in one ear. However it seems that my eardrum has suffered trauma which is causing tinnitus. So I was recommended to visit ENT at Preston. Very thorough 5 stars not sufficient.

Thanks to Shareen my opticians she diagnosed on time my cataract gone really advance just to say thanks to her for looking after me my eye surgery is gone well i will see her in 4 weeks keep up the good work.

Had a lovely experience in this store yesterday, although store was mega busy and one poor girl (Mariam I believe she was called) was running around like mad serving at the front while also checking people in for appointments but regardless she had a smile on her face and positive attitude! Thankyou Mariam and all the team!
