If you want to learn self defence, and have fun while doing it, this is the place to go. Great instructors teaching real life situations, and making it as realistic as possible. This is definitely needed in the modern world.

The instructors teach a vast array of self-defence techniques after an intense workout which lasts about thirty minutes. The following hour focuses on learning techniques which allow students to build confidence, and master, how to avoid real-world confrontational situations and how to nullify a physical attack if a situation escalates. With recent knife crimes reported countrywide it is important to know how to incapacitate these assailants if you become a target. There are a good range of students as well as three classes per week, and four if you include the kids' class. This allows shift-workers (like myself) to attend at least one class per week. Multiple payment plans are offered to suite most people. I believe the first class is free so just turn up and experience it for yourself. Lastly, the location of the studio is easy to get to and is within a mile of Junction 5 of the M65.

I've been going about twice a week for over 8 months (I think). It's always impressed me how the instructors explain, display and train the techniques, I've done martial arts previously years back when I was a little kid and I always found they were too easy on me because I was young but as a teen now, they've really made me put in effort mentally and physically. I truly respect the head instructor and he's never had a bad day in the entire time I've attended. I thank them for the time and effort dedicated to me and the others that attend, a real group of professionals.

A great place with really friendly and welcoming instructors/students. I have never tried any martial arts before and here you fit in straight away! Either call up before or like me you can just rock up to the start of a class and Ian will get you set up straight away.

This is a really good club to learn Krav maga the instructors are really good and the workouts are deadly, the instructors work really hard in building your fitness and learning the skills to defend yourself against an attacker.... you have to give it ago !!!!! But be careful you wont want to leave.
