Popped in Good Friday morning to get the family shop done. Needed to be in early, done and away. Went to the checkouts, none staffed. Self checkout only with a trolley full. Was told the checkouts wouldn’t be opening for another 20 mins. The hassle! Needed assistance for many items, self checkout OK for a few bits but not a proper shop. I won’t be going back, cheaper competitors around who provide some form of customer service.

Impressive store with limited varieties in some areas but for me and my experience- was ample. Negatives were hand sanitiser ran out in dispenser and not refilled or checked and limited kitchen attire. Positive sides are the recycling initiatives.

Got to be one of the worst store I've been to. The choice of product is lacking, but even worse is the staff. Specifically the self service male staff. They never have any sense of urgency, their customer service skills are pretty much nonexistent, it's never a pleasant experience shopping there. Much prefer asda

Massive queue on the self service tills (the future) only 6 tills in total, 1 person overseeing them... Then only 3 actual manned checkouts open. And when you want to scan your club card on your fan the scanners never work to scan it... They work at sainsburys when you scan your nectar card but not at tesco, either make the scan as you shop usable for self checkout, get more self checkouts or open more manned checkouts... Asda show how it's done... Also no baskets at the front of the store and half of the club card prices on items are out of date

Good choice of products. Friendly and helpful staff. The security guard very pleasant, always out side shaking hands with everyone. Only downside is the very small car park.

This is one of the best supermarkets in the area. I always leave happy because I always find what I'm looking for. Nice, clean, spacious and comfortable.

Poor. Almost no produce, aisles cluttered and nearby staff would rather watch someone struggle than sort out their mess. Wheelchair trollies blocked off (again) and turned the wrong way round to make access difficult (again).

Typical Tesco store. My usual source for grocery shopping. I am disabled and sometimes need a little help. My last visit was Saturday 22nd October 2022 between 9am & 10pm. Having bought a trolley full using scan & shop I needed some help and I was very well assisted by Adam who couldn't have been more helpful, and all with a smile. I thought he was worth a mention to be given the recognition he deserves.

Tesco…. Please explain to me why none of the card readers were working And why there was only 3 tills open, and half of the staff were stood around chatting when there was clearly work that needed to be done. Staff members who have clocked off should NOT be talking to other staff who are on duty as they are stopping staff from helping customers. VERY UNHAPPY WITH YOU

Think that Tesco itself has given up on Tesco Accrington, fridges and freezers constantly and consistently not working, would have thought with the money saved may be able to recruit a few more workers, who I think try their best, especially at self scan, where they're expected to run 8? tills Noticed a lot of middle management pompously walking around doing nothing, maybe this is the problem????

Only giving 4 stars because of Gemma at the café! Went yesterday with my kids for a quick bite, waited well over 35 mins for a small chips, people who came after me were served within 5-10 mins - including chips!! Anyways disappointed by the kitchen staff but Gemma was great, she kept apologising for the delay, friendly and even gave a muffin on the house due to the wait. Customer service Gemma was fabulous. We need more people like this.

It's a good store. And the biggest around my area where i can get groceries and household stuff.

Bit disappointed today, went for breakfast before a day out by train. Noticed a dramatic change in both, the price and the breakfast itself. 2 weeks ago we had a breakfast, and had the choice of either fried bread or toast. Today this was an addition item, as was both black pudding and tomato. The price was also £1.20 dearer for two, looks like we will be going to Asda in future. With their breakfast you get toast and a drink, not impressed at all today.

Clean and tidy. I had the best customer service ever at a tesco store with a lovely young man called Callum. He was super nice and friendly and very patient when waiting for me to find the tesco clubcard on my phone 😅 Though it's never been my first choice in supermarkets, it did make me want to come back again.

Just left Tesco with a big smile on my face. What a lovely experience. The staff were superb - my daughter was greeted with a big smile by the bearded staff member overlooking Santa’s grotto. Balderstone Band were playing inside - they were talkative and friendly. Lots of space with things well presented and stocked. Glad I travelled from blackburn to the accrington Tesco!

Got a bit distracted by someone at the self-service tills, & left my phone in the self service area, I didn't realise until I had exited the shop, but the staff had already took it to the Customer Service desk & it was returned to me; the Customer Service Rep was extra diligent & I can only thank the staff here for their vigilance because without it I would probably be down a phone & out of pocket, I would just like to applaud their integrity & standards it's at times like this you can't show enough appreciation for the people that did the right thing so my gratitude to all involved it is appreciated & I hope the recognition is statement to that. Thanks ever so much

Extremely rude staff. Avoid if you can there are much better and cheaper supermarkets in Accrington. I regularly visit Tesco stores all over the UK as part of my job and I have never been treated as badly at any of those stores as I was on the morning of the 2nd January 2021. I will never make the mistake of shopping here again.

A great looking supermarket with under cover parking, a cafe, pharmacy, phone shop, optician also clothes and household goods. Unfortunately at the time we visited there was a problem with the freezer cabinets. I'm sure that has been resolved by now and the store is fully stocked. Will visit again soon.

Conveniently situated right next to Accrington Railway Station - and just 5 Minutes from Accrington Bus Station, this Tesco offers the usual variety of general food & non food items - with a cafe to rest your feet with a coffee ! The car park is huge - it is always only about 40% full, & a welcome addition to this store would be a petrol station - which could fit easily at the back of the car park - with plenty of empty car parking spaces to spare ! Staff wise, they are generally efficient & friendly - no complaints !

Plenty of spaces and undercover parking, a bonus for rubbish weather! Lovely cafe, polite staff and reasonably priced quality food :)

I like shopping here as I get some great discounts using my clubcard. I have been a little disappointed with the lack of goods on sale and the amount of empty shelves. They no longer sell DVD's or CD'S. I do like the wide aisles.

Not my favourite brand... No atmosphere. Availability poor and it was only 5pm on a Tuesday. No social distancing just a guy at the door selling masks! Will be a while before I return.

Usual type of Tesco - advertised as 'Extra' but it isn't as large as others so stock is more limited. Parking is underground which is good in wet weather, but entrances to the store are confusing. The nearest entrance to the lift for a wheelchair user is exit only ! This means going to another entrance then travelling the same distance back. (Or wait for someone to exit and try to get in). Very poor. The cafe is the store's own, not a franchise of a famous chain as is often found in Tesco stores. There is no petrol station on site which is a big negative.

Excellent quality products both food & clothing. Good selection of toys too. Well laid out store great parking. Also has cafe & toilets.

Three star only as its on my doorstep... I've been in Accrington since September 2021, and this store has steadily got worse, removing certain goods, getting rid of the post box, so much potential, and yet I find the smaller store in Blackburn better stocked and with a post box. Highlight is the cafe.
