You are an absolute disgrace. How can you have such sick neglected budgies up for sale. You are sick and you should be shut down.

This pet store don't even deserve one star because of the poor customer service, the old lady behind the desk should think about getting a customer service refreshment course !!!! she was so rude, arrogant and ignorant. I won't go back ever again. I asked about the rabbit on the cage if they were male or female she checked then she told me they were female and left, she hasn't even looked at me to ask if am getting them or not, she left to answer the phone, so I asked another girl who was there who told me she's not trained to do it, when that old lady put the phone down I said to her are you going to serve me ? she answered sorry I just sold the rabbit over the phone !!!!! Oh my God I went mad, I told her the trough ignorant, rude, impolite !!! then I asked her to give me the manager's number to complain about what's happened, and GUESS what ?? SHE IS THE MANAGEER !!!! any way I won't go back again to that awful old lady.

Terrible place, been there a few times. Reported to staff there about multiple dead fish left in tanks with others, just for staff to say "and" with no care at all. Went back to check a few weeks later and they still hadn't removed them from the tank so would be infecting other fish. Birds they have plucking there own feathers out due to the lack of care and stress they undergo. For a place that claimed to once be a 'family business' this is a disgrace and should be shut down.

Bought 13 fish from this shop over a period of two days (for two tanks). 9 showing white spot the day after. All fish quarantined and treated, went back to the shop to tell them only to be questioned on ammonia levels, PH levels and what I was treating them with and was even asked if "I shook the treatment bottle." Noticed dead fish in a tank to be told "just don't buy anymore" and they'd monitor it. I've now lost 4 of the 13 fish as the parasite had already broken through the skin so treatment was ineffective, it has also spread to fish already owned. I was called an incompetent owner only for the disgustingly rude shop owner to finally fess up that they had a power outage on the Thursday before I made my purchase. All fish in that shop had gone without heat or filtration from 6.30pm to 9am the following morning. They should not be selling stock for at least a minimum of 2 weeks!! She also admitted to having white spot in at least two of her tanks. No mention of even helping towards treatment costs never mind refunding for the fish I've lost. THIS SHOP SHOULD NOT BE TRADING!!!

Disgrace is the word for this pet shop 1:that old woman(crow) absolute horrid she needs to learn how to talk to people and not stare like there’s no tomorrow I don’t know how after all these bad reviews this place is still going 2:the poor pets we simply asked if this fluffy rabbit was okay that old rude lady said “well we have already had about 5 people ask so I’m not checking again am I !!•3:I feel so bad for the pets the parrot that’s probably been stuck in that cage for all it’s life was better greeting us than any of the staff (definitely that old crow as well she should be in a cage) THIS PET SHOP SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR MULTIPLE REASONS !!! Disgrace !

Very rude staff who think they Know best but that's only because they don't listen to what you want or need. I've bought fish from them twice and specifically asked if they will be okay with the fish I already have (named the fish I have so we had no misunderstanding), was told it wouldn't be a problem only to have the fish dead within a weekend. So Also seriously overpriced, one item I purchased from them I then found on the Internet for nearly £50 cheaper! So to sum up this shop: Rude staff, unhelpful staff, poor advice, lack of knowledge, overpriced! 0/10

I DONT KNOW HOW THIS SHOP IS STILL TRADING. Animals such as rodents, birds, small animals etc all show signs of stress, anxiety and upset. This is perhaps due to being positioned 6 feet away from a screaming parrot all day, which is upsetting them. I saw birds pulling out their own feathers from stress, many of them had bald parts on them. I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR THE ANIMALS HERE. SHOP SHOUKD HAVE BEEN SHUT DISN YEARS AGO. Bought 2 rodents from here, both have serious behavioural problems. I purchased fish from here and many died rather quickly. ESTABLISHMENT REPORTED UNDER ANIMAL WELFARE LAWS

They have some absolutely beautiful fish however gotten fish twice from this place and both times they were all dead within a week. Definitely won't be trying for a third time.

I've bought fish from here as its my local store. I've never had an issue with stock or staff. Alot of comments I've read on here are wrong. If you find an issue talk to the staff its not hard and dk your research before buying fish 1st

Went here the other day for a conure. The shop looks great and so do the animals. Plenty of stock to choose from and some really good prices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back

I love this place! As far as Burnley town centre shops go, this establishment is part of the furniture. Family run (and a lovely family too) independent business who are genuine animal lovers. Their prices can give bigger businesses, such as 'Pets at Home' a run for their money. Waterlife & Pets is more than just a shop.. it's a menagerie and mini aquarium that you could spend half a day in! Don't forget to say hello to the resident, and often vocal, parrot.. I wouldn't advise you to put your fingers too close though!! If your looking for anything to do with pets, you're almost certain to find it here.

For pet and fish/supplies we won't go anywhere else, great staff, impressive inventory.

I don't live in pendle anymore but whenever I'm over that way I always try to make a special visit as the selection and price of fish is brilliant (That's coming from someone who works in the trade).. I have been a couple of times where certain fish have had whitespot for instance but I just avoid those.. Although on my last visit one of the ladies did suggest I didn't take home a variant of Swordtails because she wasn't happy with them so I'm sure they wouldn't knowingly sell a sick fish. They also ask me every time I go to buy larger or slightly more predatory fish like Butterfly fish that I know how big they will get etc. Which is refreshing! Yes the other animal sections don't always look great but I'm yet to find a pet shop where they do.. so my review is solely based on the fish section.

The lady is so helpful don't know her name but she knows who she is. All stock very healthy and happy. Well looked after. This is the type of shop u should purchase ur animal friends from. Very reasonable prices. Top quality advice. The premises isn't the most easy to find but wen you do parking is available and it's well worth it. Highly recommend the visit. Good job water life and pets ur standards should be how all pet places should be

Been here a few times now for fish. I have bought both goldfish and tropical and they are fantastic. Really lively and settle in so quickly. The service from the ladies is always great and they are really knowledgeable.

Known Kay, and her parents for some years. This is not a biased review in W&P favour, but you can get practically anything for pets there. If a personal product is required, it is sourced and purchased if still available. Friendly, helpful staff.

Lovely staff all animals were keep immaculate I bought a cockatiel he's lovely a wonderful addition to my family. I recommend it to anyone wanting a new pet and the food is really cheap. Well done I will recommend them to anyone 😉
