Best pets at home I think I've ever been to. The range of items for dogs is amazing. I went in for a halti head collar for my Belgian shepherd, after trying a range of pets at home and independent pet shops and this was my last attempt, I didn't expect to get one and there was a wide range! There was also fish which kept my young son preoccupied!

We got our 2 rabbits Softie and Tufton from here. Unwanted and unsold they were so I adopted them. 😊

Great service and regularly take my dog Popeye to the Groom Room for a trim or full groom. Highly recommend them and you can top up your treats at the same time.

Deserves 0 stars. Absolutely horrified that when I came to get 3 rats I left with only 2 because they let one escape on to the shop floor. They were absolutely useless attempting to find him and as far as I am aware he's still missing. Rats are incredibly intelligent animals and they would have bonded together . I am heartbroken that I had to leave with just two rats. I am also concerned for the animals welfare and I told the staff members to let me know when they find him, which they haven't! Really shows a lack of care for animal welfare and wellbeing. If you're thinking of adopting or purchasing any animals from here, please reconsider!

Went in yesterday to buy vivarium for my tarantula,very impressed with the customer service,I wish I'd have asked the young man's name who served me,very helpful,he was quite a big lad with tattoos and piercings,please pass this on to him if you can

A good, clean Pets at Home. Friendly staff and a decent choice. Unfortunately it isn't the biggest store - however, items are usually well stocked. Well worth a trip compared to some other stores from the same retailer. We haven't tried the vet and/or groomer here as they were full when we looked for our dog.

Purchased 3 tubs of insects from fully stocked shelves only to find when I got them home and opened them I had 1 live insect in the first tub and 3 live insects in the 2nd tub all the rest of the insects where black and dead . Not having transport to return to the store I felt furious and robbed of £7. They should not put old stock to the newly stocked shelves as the hoppers don’t have a long lifespan in the containers. Whoever stocks the insect shelves yesterday are just plain lazy and useless. NEXT TIME DO YOUR JOB AND DONT PUT TUBS OF DEAD INSECTS FROM THE PREVIOUS WEEK TO THE FRONT OF NEWLY STOCKED SHELVES.

What can I say always got what I need and the staff are always very great and helpful I sometimes go in there with my parrot he gets lots of attention from the staff all good

Disappointed tbh. Purchased a bio orb a few years back and now they don't even sell the accessories. Staff ain't a clue what ceramic media is and when you ask for help finding something they say erm I don't think we sell it no more or just point you in a direction. Customer service is poor more training needed. Apart from that it's a lovely little shop. I hope stays around for years

Fantastic experience. Contacted in the morning to enquire about Gerbils as my daughter really wanted a pet. Arrived and got all the information advice and knowledge needed to ensure we could care for our new pets. Every staff member we spent time with was polite, respectful and supportive. We will definitely be returning and can't thank them enough and they made my daughter extremely happy and ensure we had everything that was needed to care for them properly. Thanks for everything.

The staff here are amazing bit pricey On fish but when been to other shops for fish pets at home know what they are doing and talking about AMAZING FROM NOW ON PETS AT HOME ALL THE WAY

Great store, very helpful staff. Only downside is the car park could be bigger and cleaner, perhaps only struggled as went at peak time.

I think that Management should make sure there staff have real covid passports as there putting others at risk.Especially since I've just been told by the horses mouth that one female staff has a fake Covid passport putting her children and public at risk especially working on front desk as people walk straight pass her everytime she works .from Jack the children's father disgusting

There was a small queue i wasnt bothered as the sales assistant was entertaining the 2 children who were excited about birthdays and fact they were getting not one but two guinea pigs and they were buying all they needed wanted and more spoiled little pigs i had forgot my loyalty card but a simple name and postcode was enough got the dogs food and feed me more again aka the cats food whilst being entertained

Good experience could do with more availability of aquatic items but all In all a great experience

Good range but pricey

Have they even looked after the animals, I was astounded to see all the mistreat fish and pets, and I will no longer be visiting. If there was an option for no stars they wouldn’t get any. The fact that they only have a limited option of the reptiles and fish stock is strange as I heard they want to cut there pet stock down when all I saw was pets, they probably only get the one star from being tidy even for being in Accrington.

Good friendly store with lots of space. I use Vets4Pets located in the upstairs of the store. An all round pleasant place to be.

Staff were very helpful & the store was easy too find & access ideal for disabled customers & very clean & tidy. You can access there phone number online too ring & check your order or a certain item is in store before leaving home too pick it up which is great if (for instance you’re) like me you have a disability & don’t want a wasted trip out. They also have a website we’re you can join a VIP CLUB & get free gifts or price cuts on animal foods & equipment, toys, vet care, grooming room ect you can order goods on line & have goods delivered to your home. Overall excellent store & online & vip. I myself very pleased with pets at home & the store too excellent staff very friendly & helpful. OVERALL EXCELLENT.

Took my dog for a groom at Accrington branch and when he was done, he wasn't groomed at all. They did a shampoo and blow dry..i rang to complain and spoke to the Manager Chris who made every excuse that this coundnt be done when that is what we had paid for. Absolute waste of time and money.. Wouldn't recommend!! Shocking service!

We visited here with a 6 month old large puppy, the staff welcomed us as soon as we got through the door and made they made such a fuss over the puppy and gave him a treat. The staff here are excellent and really know the range of products that they sell. We were looking for a substantial collar as even though he is six months old he already weighs over 4 stone. The sales assistant went straight to the stand and showed us the range of collars that would be suitable and even found one for us that could be adjusted as he grows bigger. All the staff made a fuss of the puppy. Definitely a 5 star rating for this store.

On 4 separate occasions I've been here for cat litter, which I would have thought would of been a basic for any pet store, out of stock everytime unless you wanta pay upwards of £15. Need to sort stock control especially as Wilko does the same product 2quid cheaper, also the same cat food is bout 20% cheaper next door, helpful friendly staff tho. Probably middle management problem as ever

Nice large store, not many small animals available to buy hence 4⭐. Staff friendly and helpful. Went to find exactly what we'd need to have a fish as a pet, everything was explained from sizes of tanks and capacity per tank for each type of fish. No pressure to buy. Kids enjoyed the visit.
