Wow, wonderful display aquariums containing both marine and freshwater fish. Species for sale are very healthy in appearance and reasonably priced. Great selection of plants and live corals. Very knowledgeable staff who are very willing to aid you in setting up an aquarium suitable for your environment. It's very easy to spend a lot of money in here!!

We had a problem with our water, black growth in the tank, we tried everything. We went to see Sam in Preston, he was amazing, he tested out water, it was like watching a chemistry lesson. He found the problem, to much silica in our tap water, and suggested RO water. Problem is completely solved. We are so grateful. SAM you are FABULOUS. Great shop, helpful staff. A good and clean stock of fish, plants and accessories. A bit more expensive than most. They missed out on me purchasing a large set up solely because the 2 guys in the store win hands down at being the most miserable un motivating people on the planet!!!

This is a good clean aquarists shop. As with all Maidenhead establishments the prices are higher than average. The staff in this shop are a tad miserable but don't let that put you off going.

We have puffer fish and need live food was great to get the food our picky fish love great staff took the time to assist us thoroughly in what we need and showed my 3 year old son around and showed him around and taught him about the different fish

New to marine reef keeping, had an initial disaster, went and spoke to Sam and his advice, proffesionalism was superb. Absolutely amazing, cannot recommend enough 5*

very expensive shop compared to others available in Preston but the fact that the goldfish are wonderful, only the aquariums are terribly dirty

SAE is still a live after a few weeks, and yes, this is not flying fox but real SAE fish.

Lovely quality fish and products but received lots of misinformation. I have a 90L fresh and cold water tank, for which I purchased 3 yo-yo loaches and green tiger barbs - I was told these were suitably sized for my tank with room for a few more. When I returned to purchase more, I was told I shouldn’t have yo-yo loaches in the tank as it was too small (I was told this by the same person who sold me them initially) and that I could not have any other fish in the tank and I needed to get a much bigger tank. As well as this, I had phoned the store before going in to check if they had a certain species of fish, to which I was informed they didn’t have any, however when I got to the Preston store, there was a tank full of them. I am greatly frustrated as I have spent a lot of money on this tank, only to be told I cannot get any more, or even have the fish I currently have. I won’t be returning to or supporting this store any more.

Great place to get advice and aquatic items. Must visit if you need fish and accessories.

I love this place - my local acquatics shop. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. They have a good variety of stock: the livestock (fish, corals, etc.), fish foods, and the other stuff for tanks of all kinds. They also sell a good range of tanks if you are looking to get started, or for the next upgrade 😁. They've helped me so much with maintaining my tank. An excellent place for all things acquatic.

This is a brilliant place. The customer service us excellent. They let you just look around but they are not far if you need help. I did not feel rushed while I was there just looking to get some ideas. The staff is very knowledgeable and super helpful. Great store. Definitely will be back!

Nice shop,very strong on stock of freshwater and salt,very good dry goods section.would score 5 stars if the 2 lads who were there were a bit more driven.some people need help,advice and enthusiasm when making a purchase,it could be a £1 or £1000.its all the same.but worth a visit.

This shop is ok in terms of equipment and range. The fish are in decent condition but I have to say I find it on the expensive side. I wa looking for aquarium sealent. Was offered a tiny tube for £15. I declined and bought large tubes on amazon for £12 for 3.

Fantastic shop and fantastic staff! Sam (shop manager) is brilliant at what he does and really knows his stuff. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. When I started I knew not a fat lot, all the knowledge and experience gained is hugely down to Maidenhead Preston and I am really grateful for all of the support over the years. I believe this to be the best store around and would recommend anyone giving it a go themselves. Thank you

Had a major problem with high phosphate in my marine tank.new tank setup new to marine tanks Filled with salt water from another shop!!! Sam tested the water it showed very high phosphate, he talked me through how to fix this explained the process very well, my algae problem has gone. I would highly recommend this store all other staff are very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable l will not go anywhere else thank you for your help

Great manager and the owner obviously loves the hobby. Great selection of fresh & marine fish. Quite a few frags, zoa colonies & CUC etc. all tanks very clean. The tanks are busy but the filtration system clearly works & copes with the stocking densities very well. Definitely worth a visit.
