Had lunch & dessert for 2 at a very reasonable price. Spacious, clean, good vegetarian options. Really enjoyed the jam sponge & custard

Nice restaurant the food was tasty (tuna bake chips garlic bread) and reasonably priced staff were helpful and friendly

So I called in on a late shift to order a pizza ( which in the past have been very good ) . Only to be told I couldn't order one, the excuse given was that they had an order for fifty !!! Yet both pizza ovens was empty, shocking 😡. I went without food for the rest of the shift. I will not grace the place again ever

Food is served in paper trays. The mushrooms have soil on them, the cheese on toast is like a brick. Returned the mushrooms, no apology and I had to ask for my money back. Couldn’t get it because the supervisor wasn’t there! A shame because the environment is quite nice.

Definately not a restaurant, very noisy just like a kìds school dinner hall. Two of the serving staff were rude and off hand. I feel very sorry for the hard working doctors and nurses that have to use this place they deserve a relaxing environment. The food was not great. Drinks from a vending machine in paper cups and food served in take away trays, the place looked untidy tables not clean. I gave it 3 stars because the staff must work hard to produce the meals but they can only work with what they've got. Its people above them that should improve things.

Good, honest food, decent selection, very reasonable prices and pleasant enough surroundings. Ideal if you have to stay at the hospital for a good part of the day.

Went to the restaurant just after lunch whilst our daughter was having surgery. I wish I'd gone out elsewhere to be honest. Fish and chips was terrible. Soggy batter and French fries. My wife's steak and kidney pudding wasn't much better, again with fries not chips. There were no forks and despite the cashier going into the kitchen no one could be bothered washing a couple up for us so we ate it using plastic forks. There was food all over the floor and tables. Clearly no one's going round cleaning up, which in a hospital is quite shocking. The best thing about it was the price. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Very limited choice in food, service is ok, u have to do everything yourself, sometimes table are clean and sometimes not

Not bad for a hospital canteen and the pizzas are made fresh in front of you and are great .

Not confy an must of been busy that day but the tables where not clean at all , and the floor cud of done with a sweep as well but that's just my opinion but otherwise the food an service was gud .,

Good food but Mondays aren't for me, (I'm a meat man and it was vegan day) better luck next time. I still gave it 5* always like most days

i didnt eat here but judging by the numbers who were it must be good. I was in the hospital all day. The Drs and nurses, not forgetting the tea lady were all kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, explained everything very well, took great care of me and fixed me up with pills to help my heart until I have my angiogram

Good and well priced, however very noisy and very hard to traverse when at busy times and you need to remember this is used by the staff too. It is more like a canteen, then a restuarant. Lpts of tables and chairs, not much space or comfort.

Blackburn hospital canteen is really good. Just the place to come for a coffee or cooked breakfast lunch or tea time. So nice to get away from all your problems & to have some hot or cold food. The food is always freshly made & is wonderful & the prices are good too. My fave place to chill after appointments & treatments. You can take a break when you are visiting ill relatives or you are here for appointments & there is a long waiting time. Very nice hot puddings & desserts & always lots of fresh fruit & yoghurts. Salad options too if you just want a light lunch or meal & lots of different fresh sandwiches & juices too

Crowded, messy. Lots of people smoking outside of the wind happens to blow on wrong direction the hole place smells like an ashtray. Coffee was ok.

There’s few signs at the entrance of this canteen saying We’re celebrating UK food week, I went inside to share their celebration and found jacket potato with beans and chicken curry with rice !!! So I grabbed a coffee and left without celebrating.

Coffee & tea. Cashless register so card payments only... not sure if this is all the time but just so people are aware Tea £1.20. Coffee £1.70 Nice coffee, very reasonable prices and you get a large size cup for that too

Went in for some lunch between visiting. I had a sandwich and tea. My hubby had pie, chips and peas. Very busy at lunch time as also staff canteen.

Mother in law waited 4 hrs and nothing done apart from a bandage on leg by the nurse in triage. Dr did not look at the hematoma stating he did not know how to bandage. She had to go down to Castle med group the next day for blood to be released. In pain all throughout the night. Poor woman aged 89.

Extremely poor Coeliac options. Unless you like jacket potatoes with baked beans for lunch & tea daily. Dessert apple or banana.

Dissapointing Stroganoff more like a Curry, rhubarb crumble no taste At all .

Food is pretty good but very limited variety. Its not too bad for a one off. Due to Covid, food is now served in a takeaway tray so you no longer get as much for the money

A canteen for all seasons - and all shifts if you're an NHS employee. I was and I absolutely loved this place. The chips are to die for, the sandwich bar is exquisite and the set meals a joy. It does help to have an NHS ID when it comes to the prices, but even without, the value for money this hospital restaurant represents is unbelievable. I used to think the smaller local hospitals did better - Rossendale was great, the old Queens Park canteen rocked but they are all gone. This place blends excellent quality with superb service. I cannot fail to recommend!

There is some good choices and good deals I had a chicken wrap which was nice and there was some deals to be had, the prices of the food are good

Good food with varieties including vegetarian meals all at affordable prices.

No cash payment at till, cards only. Staff were very helpful with wheelchair access to the room requirements. Not the usual variety of sandwiches however we were a little after lunch.
