Visited yesterday, booked a table for 5 upon arrival we told them we had a booking for 5 and was looked at in a confused manner. Anyhow we sat at a table and ordered food and drink after 5/10 minutes. And was told the milkshake machine was down after waiting about 15 minutes for drinks. In the meantime the front door was left open and it was getting late so it was chilly and 2 of our group ended up going back to the car for coats. It took 90 minutes for food to arrive which wasn't acceptable, all whilst there were only 4 other people in the restaurant (2 groups of 2). When food did come it all came separate so some of us had half ate our food whilst others were still waiting and we realised we had no cutlery so we had to take it from another table. The food was good we were all impressed but it wasn't worth the wait especially at £22 per head for the mixed grill. Upon leaving 2 really rowdy lads came into the restaurant being extremely loud and just wandering in and out of the kitchen which didn't leave a good impression and left us wondering what they were doing in there. Anyhow all in all we were all slightly disappointed but the food was good.

Just ordered from Pappous for the first time having driven past it hundreds of times. We ordered the mixed grill between two of us and we are properly stuffed. The meat was fresh and well cooked, juicy, not greasy. Delicious hot pittas, fresh Greek salad, plenty of high quality feta, with fresh homemade hummus and tzatziki. I have not been to Greece in years but that definitely took me back

Ordered the 2 gyros; 2 chips and 2 drinks for 16.95. Brilliant deal!!! The Gyros was fantastic. The chicken melted in your mouth and the tzatziki complemented it very well!! The dining area looks intimate and we will be sure to pay it a visit sometime soon!!! 😃 Thanks 🙏🏻

Great food, big portions and quick service.

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Had a takeaway from here before but decided to sit in the restaurant the last visit. No faults at all and exceeded expectations.

5 stars entirely, the food is always delicious and fresh. Ive never had one bad experience coming or ordering pappous. When inside of the restaurant it’s very cosy, great atmosphere and very lovely staff! If you’re unsure of trying this place or ordering don’t be! Best Greek food in town

Don’t usually bother with reviews but credit where credit is due. Ordered the stack burger with chips and it’s the best burger that I’ve had from a takeaway for a long time. The fries alone were a cut above most places, And the beef burger, chicken and pork combo, on a brioche bun with mozzarella cheese and bbq sauce was so good that I decided to write this review. Was piping hot on arrival, Would definitely order it again 👍

For me personally the best food by a mile I’ve dined in but usually have it delivered never disappointed the big Pappos mixed gyros is superb and filling. When you ring through the staff are always friendly and polite and speedy delivery really good food and service.

Great gyros, tasty and hot. Olives and halloumi sides beautiful. Looking forward to a sit down meal here.

Just ordered the breakfast, although the food was lovely we were missing an egg, a slice of black pudding and sent white toast instead of brown. I know it's a new venture and mistakes happen, hopefully they take more care next time 😊

I can tell this place has new owners or staff because the chicken Gyros I normally order is tasty chicken with fresh sauce/salad and chips… this one was chewy chicken like it was from the bottom of the grill, the chips were over cooked and my delivery took exactly 1hour and 10 minutes. Unfortunately it was so bad I have been put off spending this sort of money again and ordering to receive the same type of food again. Such a shame, the staff on the phone were nice though I cannot fault them

I asked for chips and meat.. was told I had to have loaded chips. I said I don't want cheese or bbq sauce. Got me loaded chips, which were ....................... Chips with meat.. what's the difference I hear you ask!!! £1.50 dearer!!! Anyway the food was OK. It hasn't put me off going a 2nd time... Staff were friendly.

I ordered a delivery Gyros and Baklava... it took a bit of sorting to pay them online, but the food was delivered in good time. It was beautifully wrapped in special paper to keep it warm. I enjoyed it and was lovely to eat Greek food... not had for a long time and brought back good memories. Even the delivery man was really pleasant. I'll be trying again. Thank you 😊

First time of ordering from here. Ordered chicken gyros- wow! Food was amazing. Fresh and beautifully cooked. Delivery driver so friendly - can not fault this place. Will 100% be ordering again.

We have had takeaways and eaten in and it has always been great. First one since alleged sale. Absolutely awful tonight. Delivered 50 minutes after we were informed would be delivered. Cold when it arrived and extremely salty. Threw over half in bin. Shame as normally good. Won’t be wasting our money again !

Don't be put off by the outside. Once inside and food ordered and delivered it is very tasty and well presented

Food was okay. The grilled meat is especially tasty. However, when we went in asking for a table, we got the distinct impression we were not wanted, service was not friendly, 😭 spoiled the evening

Food was excellent, realy delicious especially stuffed fries with pork, service was brilliant, the only thing that you could improve on is to sell alcohol but it's good that you can bring your own which makes it Makes it a cheap night out. lol🤣

awesome hidden gem, with not so expensive cypriot food, woth a try

21/04/21 was the second time ordering from Pappous as we were so impressed first time round, unfortunately we were disappointed this time as we was made to wait 2 hr 20 mins for our food to arrive. We placed our order 19.31 and I rung the restaurant at about 21.15 to see how where our food was and how long it would be, they lady on the phone told me it was the next one to be delivered and would be 10/15 minutes. Fast forward 35 minutes when it did actually arrive, making it 21.48. Fuming to say the least as I don't understand why the restaurant would still continue to take orders when they can't meet customer demand. I plated up our food and the chips were barely warm and could tell they weren't freshly fried as they were barely edible, resulting them going into the bin. The kebab itself was okay and just about warm but not as good as first time round, safe to say we won't be rushing back to re-order and definitely wasn't worth the £25 we spent.

Delicious food, prices and service.

The food is good but Oh Dear they have terrible service. Ordered twice from them once for pick up, went to collect at the time given and wasn't ready, told to wait in the car and they would bring it out. 25 minutes passed then went in, they had forgotten about me. We tried again on a 2nd order for delivery, ordered at 5.30pm, told delivery would be at 7pm, never turned up at all, no phone call from them, no answer on there phone when we tried to chase up. We had ordered food for my 6 year old also so hurriedly had to make him something after we realised we had been let down. Needless to say, we will never order from there again.

Went to Pappous to try something different and was amazed at the quality of my food. I ordered a stack burger which looked absolutely mouth watering and tasted 10/10. The burger was delicious and cooked to perfection!!! I would definitely recommend as the service was excellent and the waitress' was soo friendly and lovely and catered to my every need. Definitely returning to try more things on the menu and to see lovely, smiling faces. 11/10.

Booked a birthday meal for 14 people giving the order in advance so they new what we were having. We had to wait 1hr and 40 mins for the food and we had 4 under 5s there trying to keep them occupied. Absolutely gutted been waiting along time to try this place out.
