We have had a number of bespoke jobs completed over the years, including curved patio railings, driveway gates and the latest a staircase and railings to enable us to access our garden on a higher level. The quality workmanship and the knowledgeable, reassuring manner of Nick enables you to come up with something a bit different, even down to colour! As we had no experience of installing driveway gates, we were full of rookie questions, but S L Wrought Iron patiently took us through the process of finding the right design and customising the dimensions to make sure they fitted between the existing pillars. I am based in London and searched for a quality and reliable driveway gate. I found this company and my instinct was to go ahead with this company after my initial phone call with the owner, Nick although it’s far away from London and all seem to be genuine and sounded they know what they are doing. Next thing, they asked for full money on order but Nick assured me where they are based and all of the payment are well documented. I didn’t hesitate and went ahead. I was not wrong and I made the right choice and made the right phone to Nick a month ago. Gate arrived this week and it’s really great quality and high finish with galvanising. Very clean and perfect workmanship. If anyone wants a driveway gate and struggling to trust a company that’s far away and cannot visit in person then contact this company. They will do what they say and make exactly the gates that they have in their website and you can definitely trust and they are helpful if necessary.

Excellent quality and service. We needed a double garden gate with a small portion of fence on one side. The design needed to be child safe with no spikes. After a chat with Nick including a photo of the location and width of the gap, I received a quote that included all the latches, catches, and fittings needed. As promised 3 weeks later everything arrived. The quality of both the materials, which are solid and very sturdy, and the design are excellent. Installing it all was straightforward with fittings designed to ensure it fit the space perfectly.

From first enquiry to job complete, good communication, kept up-to date with progress throughout. Two lots of fencing and gate to replace old wooden fencing. Lovely job, very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Have had 2 lots of railings fitted in the last couple of years, the first set to border the garden and the second set for down the side of the drive. Nick was very helpful with suggestions for design and height etc. (the 2 sets being different heights) and I'm very happy with them. The quality and fitting is excellent. This is a family firm and nothing is too much trouble. They went out of their way to fit the railings before I went on holiday. First class, professional but friendly service. This beautiful Ribchester gate was ordered for our renovation project, of a Victorian home, in South London. It was expertly made and promptly delivered. It was a pleasure dealing with Rachael and the team at SL Wrought iron, who were happy to tailor the product to our exact requirements. We will definitely be ordering from them again for all future renovations. My only regret is that we didn’t come across them earlier in the project.

Used SL wrought iron twice now., they do a great job and Nick offers ideas and advice when he does a site visit. Very pleased with my gates and fence and also a security gate on another property.

I talked to Nick about modifying one of their gates to a specific design and making it two gates. They designed to my measurements the most perfect pair of gates, supplied all the necessary hinges and fittings. Those gates are now hanging about 1200 miles from their place of origin, in a wall opening at a house in Italy. They are much admired by my local neighbours. I cannot praise too highly the efforts of the team in producing these gates. 10/10 Judge for yourselves....

Recommended to me by a neighbour. At first I worried about how two gates and a set of railings needed for a sloping boundary in London could be successfully made in Accrington, but its gone like a dream. Rachael was very helpful and responsive throughout. I had to give quite detailed measurements and information, but the communications were always good. I got a local builder to install and they were very impressed with the quality and the accuracy. All the necessary bits and bobs were provided - some missing from the box first delivered, but this was rectified immediately. A really good experience - thank you.

I ordered top railings for my Victorian garden wall in Scotland and the result from these quality made solid railings is amazing.
