Popped in with Martin Meerkat. Only my third visit. During covid lunacy there were some tables outside but not on this visit. They had a couple of real ales on handpump. Both good.

Enjoyed visiting here last summer, atmosphere was great, staff were lovely. Really enjoyed being here especially with the nice weather, however reason for my 1 star review was unfortunately when I visited the bar more recently staff seemed a little skittish and more stressed for some unknown reason, to my understanding its now under new ownership, and when my son was visiting a few weeks ago noticed people coming out of the same toilet a bit more 'chirpy' than before they went in so I don't know what's going on in there, but what shocked me the most is he saw the owner coming out with someone, and seeming a bit more lively, now I'm no buzz kill and everyone is entitled to there own way of having a good time, but I do not want to be putting my wage into someone's pocket to fund a habit... however I will miss seeing the normal 3 ladies and young man that work there as they are lovely, but after hearing this I wont be coming back which is a shame as I really enjoyed going

Great bar in the heart of Rawtenstall. Lovely staff and a great range of drinks. I'd definitely recommend sitting outside under the tree (provided the weather is nice!)
