Cannot recommend the performance lab enough! Myself and my husband have both been to the performance lab for a variety of reasons between us. The team are extremely knowledgeable, to the point, re-assuring and human!! Exceptional team, with a plethora of experience with your personal goals always at the forefront of their minds. Not much that these guys cant tell you about your problem/ injury so honestly, do yourselves a favour, don't suffer any longer, get yourselves booked in and get on your journey with this amazing team.

I’ve just been discharged after 6 weeks physio following a hip resurfacing procedure and I cannot praise this place enough. I have been treated by Emma throughout, who has been superb. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, displaying a very useful combination of support and positive encouragement. It’s a very professional set up, and they really make you feel that patient care is at the centre of what they do. Thanks very much!!!

I can't recommend the Performance Lab enough! I had a sport-related shoulder injury about 10 years ago and hoped that surgery would fix the problem but sadly it didn't. Since then, I can't remember a day without shoulder pain and I've not been able to play to the same level I did before. When I would play through the pain I would suffer for days after. Over the years I have seen various physiotherapists but never got further with my recovery. Being a doctor I thought I could figure the problem out myself but nothing I tried worked. I met Matt Kenyon and he diagnosed me within minutes with a tendinopathy (a humbling experience!), an under-recognised condition that he happens to be a leading authority/expert on. After several weeks of progressive exercises, I'm playing regularly to levels higher than I could before and am 99% pain-free for the first time in a decade. The only problem now is I have an expensive percussive massage gun I don't use anymore! So, would I recommend Matt and the performance lab to others? 100% yes and I already have!

After many years of shoulder pain and previous unsuccessful attempts at physio I was recommended to try Performance Lab, and I'm so glad I did. The therapist looked in depth about the underlying cause, rather than just treating the symptoms, which went well beyond the shoulder! I am now able to take part in activities that I have not previously been able to. Subsequently I also had an elbow injury which was treated by a different therapist. Both therapists provided the same high standard of care. I would recommend anyone to give them a go.

I was a keen county standard netballer, playing and training several times a week. Over a few weeks I developed significant pain in my knee which limited my mobility, even walking was painful. I saw several physios who attempted to help but failed, I was beginning to get fed up and upset thinking I would never get my knee right. After 3 months of no progress The Performance Lab was recommended. After starting treatment, I began to notice progress though it was initially very slow and I had many obstacles to overcome. It felt that for every step forward I took a step backwards, I got frustrated and angry that every time something new was attempted my knee would flare up again, Matt tried everything! I really stretched his imagination to try to find new exercises that would help my knee but not cause the inflammation to return along with the pain. However, even when I felt like giving up, Matt came up with another suggestion and we tried again. Eventually significant progress was made and after nearly 2 and a half years of not being able to do any aspect of the sport I loved, I was able to start training towards sport specific exercises. Only 3 months after this breakthrough I successfully trialled for my University netball team and I haven’t had a set back yet! I have to maintain specific exercises, but I am able to go back and enjoy a sport that at one time during my injury I thought I’d never be able to do again. Thanks to Matt Kenyon for his perseverance, encouragement and ultimately success.

I have been attending the performance Lab with a knee injury for a few months. At the initial assessment, Phil ruled out the need for surgery, which put my mind at rest, and that initial assessment has turned out to be an excellent diagnosis. I have always found Phil to have a friendly and professional manner, and from the information, I've received I feel better prepared to avoid a similar injury. I will certainly recommend them to my friends and work colleges. Thanks again, Phil.

The care and support that I have received from Alex Buckley at The Performance Lab has been fantastic . I have recently recovered from two very different injuries and would not be where I am now without the advice and support provided. Without a doubt the best Physiotherapy team in my local area. I would not go anywhere else!

Phil, at Performance Lab in Blackburn, provided an excellent and professional physiotherapy service. Over three sessions he made me feel very welcome and relaxed. Coaxing a middle aged body to the peak of fitness for a mountaineering trip is a process fraught with injury but Phil helped me manage and overcome them very effectively. If you need a reliable, professional, knowledgable physiotherapy service to help you achieve your goals use Performance Lab.

Best physio I've ever been too. What I like is the emphasis on not only treating the injury but also identifying the cause & plan to prevent recurrence. It will be money well spent if you see these guys.

Highly recommended, if you need physio this is the place to go, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Helped me get my ankle back to full mobility when I couldn't see that ever happening before coming here.

Knowledgable and friendly team. I have been treated here a couple of times now with excellent outcomes. Emma and Lee have both listened to me, made accurate diagnoses and tailored my treatment around my competition schedule. Thank you both!
