Why are the streets never cleaned?! (Dukes Brow Area/Corporation Park). Been advised a request must be made to the council? I have been cleaning my street for the past 2 years, but the council need to do their part, plants and weeds are growing out of the roads, rubbish is stacked up and litter is everywhere! It is devastating, most people don't seem to care but I do and I wont accept the zero council involvement. Certain areas in the town are immaculate and others remain a literal dust bin, a clear divide!

very dirty town. rubbish flying everywhere and looks like nobody care. They easy send you a bill but I wonder what do I pay for?! Very dirty. Haven't seen a town that messy in UK yet.

Show me a more uncaring, disorganised, unprofessional council and i'll show you a liar. The council tax department avoid at all costs if you suffer from mental health problems. They cause stress and will make you ill. Messed my bill up on many occasions and was like moving heaven and earth to let them know my property was now occupied. Despite being occupied and having a chap confirm this from the council they didn't update their system twice and still wanted a premium rate for it being unoccupied. They want money and do not care about your financial circumstances. Personally they are the dregs of society.

Anybody else been had by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council ? Paid £35 for the brown waste collection service got my sticker but my bin out last Thursday evening about 9pm they came and emptied the neighbours brown bin on Friday but couldn't be bothered to walk up to the top of the street to check for more bins so didn't empty mine 😡 contacted them and they said it will be emptied within 48 hours (Tuesday at the lastest) but still no bin emptied 7 days later. Blackburn with Darwen borough council u robbing b**tards no wonder people fly tip paid for service that u don't even recieve what a joke of a council 😡😡😡😡😡😡

They have sold land that was the Blackburn college to a company called euro car parks who now charge college and sports center staff .sports center users can't park at all in the daytime .They are a greedy ,mercenary company who fine people 100 pounds who can't understand the complex rules they have imposed. Corrupt ,inept ,money wasting council. Rubbish all over the town .total mess of the road systems some junctions have thousands of traffic lights where you don't need any ( preston new road / bae systems junction) and no control where you do .People drive past the old jewson to the lights if it is green carry on not realising that immediately after the light is a give way ,3 accidents a week guaranteed. They have the money to pay thousands of useless employees and managers who are totally useless one of them is called Steve, walks round town buying coffee ,goes for a run and that's it for the day.

Been trying for several weeks to obtain a receipt for a visitor parking permit, can't seem.to understand when you have paid for a service & want to claim it back, you need a proper vat receipt not a standard email that my 10 year old could have done.

I have been trying to contact my local councillors for weeks yet no response, first to come for your vote last to do any work! Shocking

Absolutely DISGUSTED! I mailed so many times complaining that the bin men are leaving correctly despised recycling of dog food tins over and over again, which caused a massive increase in rats in the area! We now have a dog who has contracted leptospirosis from rat wee current vet bills of £2000 she is on death's door she is highly contagious to humans and other animals I have ailed to tell th this I expected a response within 24 hrs so we can discuss where she has been and weeweed in the area. So far it has been 73 hrs and I have had no response. Please everyone in Blackburn disinfectant your shoes and don't let your animals out untill this BIO HAZZARD has been delt with I will now contact the press to hopefully get a warning out to residents in Blackburn because altho the council here DO NOT CARE ABOUT LEATHAL DISEASES IN THE AREA I DO AND I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT IT SO THEY CAN PROTECT THEIR FAMILY

Hopeless. Miss bin collections regularly, don't care when reported. Clean the town once in a blue moon.

I am a disabled driver lived on my street for 14 years. i personally paid for my disabled bay only to find out 4 months later and after getting 4 parking tickets that its all been changed to residential ( so in other words my bay is totally useless and a complete waste of money as anyone can park there with a blue badge) i might add that my badges were on display and still ticketed. what a horrible conniving Borough to actually STEEL from a disabled person because thats exactly what it is i will be taking this a lot further to...Despicable lot they are.

Great service from the registration office asked for a birth certificate and 48 hrs and done. We'll done shame rest of your team in Other depts can't follow same principal.

It’s now been over a year since I initially reported a blocked drain off of Bolton Road that floods out onto the main road. A further 4 emails have been sent with replies to some stating it’d be done by June 2022 at the latest, still has not been cleared and now no replies either. For the amount we all pay this council, the service is very poor, common theme across Labour run councils.

What an absolute joke this Council is, I've complained numerous times about double yellow line parking the council do nothing about it. You Blackburn Council are as ignorant as these residents who continually park on double yellow line. I've sent images and you do nothing about it, Disgusting!!!!! Very frustrating when I abide by the law.

Sent a email adv of overgrown vegetation and rubbish dumped on some vacant land. Got back to me saying it's private land and will contact them. Nothing happened and its still the same.

Rude, apathetic, incompetent on so many levels, omnishambles of a council. Every single encounter has been a stress inducing and achingly slow process that usually gets somewhere after the third attempt.

Recently had to speak with hobbie, very difficult to get through to speak to him, but managed To track him down after a few calls to the town hall - he works on the gypsy sites, I had to complain about some stuff that had been going on. Hobbie was happy to listen and responded fast and sorted the problem. I wish all the council staff were as efficient. He has since followed up to make sure nothing else had gone on.

I can only thank the staff at the council especially the guys collecting the bins, the staff manning the phones, the highways dept and the cleansing dept ( dealing with fly tipping). You are doing a great job in extraordinary times very pleasantly. Thank you all and stay safe. Thank you so much.
