Usually good large fish. Not very good today, when dissected it was scrap end fillets somehow glued together. Terrible quality. 12 noon 2/03/2022.

Used to frequent this place as a youngster since I used to study across the road for 6th form. I was under the impression it was closed! Nothings changed, the owner is still the same and he still takes pride in everything he does. Honestly the best fish and chips in Blackburn... Hands down. Their curry sauce is beyond beautiful the fish is fresh and crispy. They only drop the fish in the fryer when you physically go in and order. This means they do not have a phone line so you cannot ring in your order prior to pick up . I did question why he does not have a phone, he replied that he never has and people still come far and wide to visit. The owners own words were "if you do something right and properly, people will come" can't argue with that mantra!

The best chippy in Blackburn. Fish are absolutely massive and really tasty. They are that big that you actually don't need to gwt chips unless you fancy sharing 1 portion of fish and chips with someone else! Staff are great and service is fast. It's the only chippy in Blackburn I use now when we work over thers.

The owners/employees were chatting with customers whilst serving. Great chips, crispy with hot fluffy centres, the fish had lovely crispy batter, and perfect fish. The f&c took about 15 minutes. They do not take phone orders, but was no problem, with such a perfect product. We purchased 2 portions of fish and a huge portion of chips, for 3 adults. Open at lunchtime through to early evening, 7 days a week!

I go for the fish, chips & mushy peas. Large pieces of fish for a great price, mushy peas are awesome too. They do a curry sauce, but it's a bit spicy for me.

Super fast service. Friendly staff. Food was hot & fresh. Fish was tasty but the batter was a bit soggy. Another 3 minutes in fryer would have sorted that. I would visit again.

I only came here because somebody recommended me to try this place out. Chips were just ok, hence the one star. Fish was practically a shark. The size of the thing was huge. The first bite went down a treat, but thats where it ended. The tail part is thinner and thats why that bit cooked properly. The rest of the fish was too thick, uncooked and translucent. The batter was crispy in places and soggy in others. Price for fish n chips plus drink was £6.50. Not worth it, because I threw most the fish away. Verdict, been there done that never again.
