This was our third time here and sadly it will be our last time I think. We have loved this place in the past but now it has become more like a leisure centre. It’s filthy! Cobwebs everywhere in the outside terrace, jacuzzis with scum line that you could scratch off with your nail, windows filthy. Sunbeds are no where near as comfy as they were. They were really thick and luxurious now something that you could buy from B&m, cheap. We got three cups of tea at the end of our day and got brought curdled milk, when we asked if it could be changed the girl said “it’s been doing that every bottle I’ve opened” why bring us it like that then? There’s no body wash in the men’s showers shampoo only. Bertram’s wasn’t great either but I’ll leave that review on there food has gone down hill. With the price increase from £80 to £106 you’d have think they would have improved the place but it’s gone the opposite way

I’ve visited twice now. Both times for the twilight session with a friend. This is really good value, the entire place is spotlessly clean and everything is high spec and well presented. We loved the outdoor hot tubs and infinity pool. Watched the day turn to night. We ate in the tapas bar which is quick and reasonably priced. Lovely cocktails and some fire pits but they are super popular so get a little busy. The changing rooms and facilities are beautiful with nice quality products available for free. Parking is plentiful and free. The restaurant is also gorgeous. Staff are all friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We will defo be back, hoping for an overnighter at some point 😀

Went for the twilight spa with rassual mud experience which was absolutely amazing. The whole evening was so relaxed. Nicole who showed us round and gave us our mud was absolutely lovely, so helpful and an absolute star! All the staff were lovely, asking if we were ok and had a good evening. The food in the terrace bar was amazing too. So delicious and plentiful! Will definitely be back to the woodland spa!

Went for the thermal day spa package with a group of friends. The facilities were great; all spa areas clean and welcoming. The restaurant staff were so obliging, especially by helping with the table decorations for the 40th birthday and how friendly they were. Changing rooms were spotlessly clean and I loved that there were separate areas to dry your hair and get ready. My favourite was the serenity pool where you could drift off in peace & calm.

Definitely worth a visit.. went for my birthday and enjoyed a lovely spa day including croissants on arrival.. then 2 treatments and then a meal in berties restraunt.. then some how they discovered it was my birthday and brought out a brownie with a big candle in and all started signing.. highly embarrassed but so nice of them to do... we made a full day of it then late afternoon had the mud bath which was really good then enjoyed a few cocktails and some tapas.. staff are really friendly and good facilities.

An absolutely amazing spa day from the moment we walked in the therapist was very helpful and attentive. The spa facilities were clean and lovely and so many different experiences to go through. The outside area was lovely too and warm in the Jacuzzi (we went in February). We also enjoyed the mud rasul too and would highly recommend. We had the spa day with lunch and food was so filling and lovely too. Thank you for an amazing day

Treated my wife to a spa day and stop over at the crow Wood Hotel on 14th May, my wife had 2 treatments which she loved. On the day the weather couldn't have been any better, sun was out, blue skies, what more could we ask for,the spa itself was empty as everybody was outside on the sun terrace, nobody seemed to be bothered about using the spa,all the sun beds and seating area's were taken up for the whole day by people just getting off there faces,we eventually got a seat outside at 4-30 pm which we think is very poor considering the package cost us £400,surely there should be a set time people are allowed on the sun beds/seating area to give all guests a chance, seems to me the spa is starting to loose its identity as a spa 1st,looks like its going more corporate, nice day out drinking cocktails in a jacuzzi. We'd use the hotel again but not the spa as we felt its very overpriced for what you get,but on a positive note the tapas was the best we've ever tasted and the hotel was lovely, clean and modern and the evening meal and breakfast was lovely.

Lovely setting and awesome staff. So could possibly be a little bigger and an outdoor hot tub/heated pool area would be an amazing addition

The Twilight Session was amazing, allowing 3.5 hours of spa time and total relaxation. The facilities are fantastic and so many different elements to experience in the spa. All guests were respectful of each other which allowed us to enjoy it even more. Looking forward to returning soon!

Gorgeous spa, you wouldn't even know you're in Burnley! It's got lots of different areas so doesn't feel busy. Great customer service and lovely food and drink at the bar area and also in the Bertrams restaurant.

Don't choose the cheaper option and go on a Sunday night. Big groups of people being very noisy, playing music through their phone, people smoking outside on the terrace. Another big group of people laughing and joking around in the Serenity pool which is supposed to be a quiet space. Came here and stayed for the weekend about 8 years and it was great. Wouldn't not recommend at all now.

Really enjoyed our twilight spa experience, it was absolutely amazing. The whole evening was so calm and relaxing. Caroline who greeted us was so helpful and attentive! The spa is very clean and spotless. Food and drinks in the terrace bar was lovely. Will definitely visit soon !

Booked the day spa with 2 course lunch. Arrived at 9am, checked in and had coffee and pastries before we went in the spa. Every single staff member we dealt with was just lovely. Very helpful, explaining how everything worked, where things were, making you feel very comfortable, exceptionally useful if it's the first time you have been. The facilities are amazing and everything was lovely and clean and they don't allow too many in, so it didn't feel too busy. Lunch was very relaxing and the food was delicious. We opened a tab and could get any additional drinks and food without worrying about having card/cash on us. We couldn't have wished for a better day!

We love a little evening spa here. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the range of facilities. I love their newly improved outdoor green area with fire pits right next to the bar. And the tranquility quiet area is just what you need when you are having a cheeky few hours away from the kids.

Thank you to Chloe whom gave me a lovely back massage and facial. I came out feeling really relaxed. Chloe was professional and attentive to any needs I had. The treatments were just what I needed. Chloe was also very knowledgeable about the products needed for my skin. The spa itself offers lots of different areas to try from inside to the outside. Lunch was the best I've had at a spa. Thank you for a very enjoyable and relaxing day.

Really nice, but weird entrance. You walk in from the side and have to walk past everything to get to the main reception. Very odd layout and poor signage. But such a lovely spa! Don't buy vouchers though, because if you lose it, then you don't get your money back and have to pay again. Proper rip off, most places have a reference number, and the voucher is just a token because it's registered to an email address or account but not here. I lost my voucher and had to pay again on arrival, and it wasn't worth double money.

Booked in for the divine signature comfort spa day, the customer service here is top tier, beautiful facilities and lovely food. Our spa day includes tea/ coffee and a pastry, use of the thermal suites, 2 course lunch and drink in the restaurant, the rasul mud experience and a massage. Laura and Emma did mine and my partners massages, and we both agreed it’s the best experience we have ever had. Would highly recommend this spa to everyone and next time we will be booking into the hotel after as we were so relaxed we didn’t want to leave

Went for a twilight spa experience for my birthday treat. The place is clean and tidy. The ladies locker room was huge with lots of dressing tables with hair dryers. Plenty of showers available. The spa area was lovely and we added the mud rasul too. That was a great treatment for myself and my partner. It's self applied but you have exclusive use of the steam /shower room. Plenty of outdoor loungers and I enjoyed relaxing in the robe with a drink. Don't forget to bring flip flops or pool shoes. Drinks were reasonably priced buy we did not eat there so can't comment on that. Staff were fantastic and helpful. We had a great time.

COFFEE AND HOT FLUSHES…………. Today was my second visit to the spa and I also stayed at the hotel twice last year. My experience of both on each occasion has been outstanding! The staff are polite and efficient. The food is excellent. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. To most people I suppose my little niggle will be unimportant but given the hotel and spa have such high standards why does all the coffee come out of push button machines??? - not good enough! My other niggle is the changing rooms. On my last visit I went back to the hotel room to shower and change after using the spa. We visited for the day today and we were eating in Bertrums. I can honestly say that the hour I spent in the changing rooms getting ready for dinner cancelled out the five hours of relaxation in the spa. Come on Woodland Spa do your bit for us menopausal women, we really can’t dry our hair and apply makeup in a sauna like environment………..

The Spa experience was great, the mud treatment is a must. However, the evening meal was amazing. If you get the chance, do both!

Came here with my mum and we had a lovely relaxing day together with treatments and food- my only food complaint is that the two tiny pastries that came as part of the day in the morning was a let down- at least should have been a large croissant or something else. Lunch was good. Had the most amazing massage I have ever had! Loved the spa facilities and we left floating. Will come back.

I took my daughter and son to the Woodland Spa, Burnley as a treat for us all before my son starts chemotherapy treatment again. When booking the staff were caring and considerate. My son requires disabled access and every effort was made to make our trip easier and an enjoyable experience. We all absolutely loved our twilight experience as it wasn't as busy as it had been on previous visits during the day. The reception staff were lovely and welcoming and made sure our visit was enjoyable, easy and memorable. Thank you all for a lovely evening.

This is my third time at the spa . The previous two occasions were prior to the new hotel, where we stayed this time . The spa is superb and spotlessly clean with beautiful facilities . The only downside is the fact that it is oversubscribed . Too many people were using the spa and this meant we could not make full use of the facilities . The food was superb and reasonably priced and your staff are all extremely courteous and attentive. On a final point the 100 pounds deposit for each room was taken from my account and my friend who shared the other room but has not yet resurfaced into our accounts. . I would definitely stay again but not at the weekend as it was just too packed . You also need to remind guests that if they want to get intimate in the spa that it’s best they just return to their room . Twice in the tranquility area we just walked out as it was just not what we wanted to see 😂 .

Lovely spa. Lots of hot tub/pool options and steam and sauna room. Only negative point is there is extremely limited food options if you are on an evening spa session, the tapas is £10 per dish. So even if you have just a bowl of potatoes it’s £10! Very overpriced food, would be great to have more options at better value.

Booked the Woodlands Spa as was staying at the Crow Wood Hotel, we did the twilight experience as we did a walk round pendle hill and then a 3 course lunch at nearby Country pub so we didn't need dinner as the twlight was 5:30 till 9. The spa is lovely despite the ongoing building work which you couldn't tell was being done except for using the entrance through the restaurant to access the spa. All the different thermal experiences where just what we needed after a long walk up a hill. There was plenty to do outside too and would be lovely through the day in the summer as the outdoor pool was too cold to go in but the hot tubs where great in the cold weather. The bar was nice to sit in and we had a couple of cocktails each but we did think these was slightly overpriced at £15each for some of them. I would go again but only as a treat or celebration.

Came here with my mum, the facilities are amazing - so many thermal options, and there's also an outdoor pool for when you want to cook off a little. The experience showers are also fantastic. We had a meal here too and the food was lovely!!

Excellent customer service. Excellent facilities despite the Sauna being closed, there were enough rooms and pools to still feel like you had a great experience. Outdoor facilities are great. Cocktails are a win with top shelf liquor. The tapas looked really nice. A huge plus of this spa is not having a time slot as you could quite easily spend a day here sitting by the pool and eating at the restaurant. It was difficult to find the entrance to however which is why this review has 4 stars instead of 5. This may be due to the level of building work being done, we didn’t mind however because we got a complimentary £10 voucher to spend at the spa on a couple of cocktails for our troubles which was u expected but thoroughly enjoyable.
