The owner of this gym is thoroughly unprofessional, and has no clue how to treat his customers. He subjectively chooses who he wants in there and who he doesn't, and will find ways of getting you out if he doesn't like you. I was accused of breaking a mirror (which genuinely shocked me, as I wasn't aware I had done it, and to be honest, am still not convinced), and instead of having the human decency to ask me about it, he cancelled my membership and told me to get out without giving me the chance to offer any explanation - and I am supposedly a loyal customer, given that I've trained there on and off for over 8 years! I even offered to pay for it, providing he showed me proof, which of course, he could not! I've trained at a lot of gyms over the years, but never have I been made to feel like I'm walking on egg shells! I personally think you will not have an enjoyable experience training here, unless you enjoy training under supervision, and being watched like a hawk! He even admitted watching me from upstairs (weird). I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place, considering there aren't many gyms in the valley (thanks Gav), however, I would much prefer to smash sets of Heinz beans than stepping in that gym again!!!!

Good, varied gym. There's a balance of cardiovascular and resistance equipment, as well as multifunction and boxing gear. Some good classes to go along with and it's not usually too busy unless during the 6-7 period. My only major complaint could be the opening times are a touch short, particularly at weekends. The price also runs a wee bit high.

I love this place. I've trained at Pioneer for the past 15 years. Claire who works there is either taking classes or cleaning; she is a fantastic member of the team. Fingers crossed the saunas get built in the near future to compete with Thrive and JD Gyms in local towns.

The lovely staff make you feel so welcome and when coming to a gym it can a taunting time for some people, here you feel comfortable and you can accomplish anything. Dawn has been the best personal trainer and always pushes me to better myself. I couldn’t ask for a more personal service.

Good gym. Cleanliness gone down hill a wee bit since it was taken over, though. Hard to get on a squat rack because of all the girls hogging them because every day is 200 sets of hip thrusters/squats + instagram photo session ;-) lol. Just kidding, I never do legs. Love the gym. Gavin is the friendliest most smiley person I have EVER met. Absolutely NEVER just turns around and walks away from me while I am still talking to him.

Not open yet but popped in to get some information about the prices and the staff on site were incredibly helpful. Can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic for people of all levels of fitness. Up to date cardio and weight machines. A variety of classes. Staff always on hand to help, but, not intrusive.

I love this gym it’s the best one I been to so far the staff are always willing to help I have a favourite personal trainer and the people in the gym are nice.

This is one of the best gyms in the valley with really friendly staff and a range of equipment.
