My stay at The RomeHello was remarkable, not only for its clean, comfortable rooms, great events, and fantastic location but also for the incredible support I received from the reception staff during a challenging situation. The hostel’s rooms were immaculately clean, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The RomeHello also hosts a variety of engaging events that add to the vibrant experience, and its location is ideal for exploring the city. However, what truly set my experience apart was the staff’s response when I faced the theft of my passport and visa. The reception team at The RomeHello were exceptionally supportive, assisting with the complexities of shipping my baggage and handling necessary shipping documents. Their efficiency and meticulous attention to detail provided immense relief during a stressful time. Beyond their professional assistance, the reception staff’s empathy and encouragement were profoundly impactful. They went above and beyond to keep me motivated and positive, showing a level of care that exceeded my expectations. The RomeHello is more than just a hostel; it’s a place where you find exceptional service and a warm, supportive community. I am deeply grateful for their kindness and highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Rome. Thank you, The RomeHello, for your beacon of support and the exceptional service during my time of need.

Perfect location and friendly staff. Every night they have an event in the common room to meet new people and socialize. I stayed a few days in a dormitory and the other days in a private room. The private double room is perfect, comfortable bed, big room and good bathroom. I was surprised!. The dormitories are clean and big and the doors have a code for access. I just don’t give the 5 stars because I think they should add curtains in the bunk beds for more privacy in the dormitories. But it doesn’t seem to be a popular thing in Italy! For me that’s essential in hostels 💔 anyways I 100% recommend this hostel!

This was one of my favorite hostels while traveling in Europe. The outdoor court yard space made meeting people very easy, which was great as a solo traveler. I stayed in a 10 person mixed dorm, and it was extremely clean. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The location is great too, as it is easily walking distance from all the tourist attractions. It’s also close to metro and bus stations. If I ever find myself in Rome again, I will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect. We were a little suspicious of how nice this place seemed to be in the booking websites and the lack of negative comments, but it was all for real. The best hostel I've ever stayed and my first one - it's putting the bar of expectations real high. The staff was really friendly and helpful, the accommodation beautiful and with an amazing aesthetic, the beds quite confy, and the location absolutely great next to the center and the main train and bus stations. If I can find something negative is that they charged plenty of stuff, like towels, locks for the lockers, water from vending machine, shampoo, etc. So do your research and make sure to bring what is needed!

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff provided warm hospitality. It is close to many tourist attractions, they can be easily reached on foot. The price may be a little high in comparison with other hostels, but it was good value for the money.

Large, centrally-located, super clean, lots of social areas, and very friendly staff. Large storage drawers (bring a lock), clean bathroom (bring your own towel or purchase one from the hostel), free access to the kitchen, laundry facilities on site (ironing is free and self-serve), and you even get a free welcome drink coupon on arrival. My only suggestion would be that they update their website, because part of the reason I chose this place was for the advertised cooking class on Saturday evenings, and walking tour on Sundays, but when I checked in on Saturday afternoon, I was told the coordinator was on vacation and there would be no cooking class, and the walking tour was rescheduled for Saturday morning (prior to my check-in). It was pretty disappointing. Special shout out to Jerry, who was super chill and helpful.

👍🏼 Positive 1. Good location. Close to the Termini train station. 2. Building equipped with lift. 3. En-suite dormitory. 10 beds room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Equipped with 3 shower rooms, 2 toilets, 3 hair drivers, and 5 sinks. 4. Common area, games, and shared kitchen are available for free. 5. Paid laundry is available. 👎🏻 Negative 1. Expensive in the peak season even booked directly from the website. I paid €69 for a bed in a 10-bed dormitory. 2. I was assigned to a room on the first floor facing the inner courtyard. There was a Karaoke night. The crowd could be very loud and annoying.

Wow. First time I've been in a hostel that's so well equipped with all you can need to have a great, social experience in Rome. I stayed with a friend in a 4 beds unisex bedroom. Great way to get to know people! The staff was off the charts nice, helpful and a lot of fun :) the common rooms were cool and they planned activities for everyday so you could get to know more people staying. Great place

This was my first hostel experience and still is my favourite hostel I've been to! The location was fabulous as it was close to the main train station and among plenty of local attractions! The staff were extremely friendly and entertaining, each with their own contribution to the hostel. The room was comfortable and the hostel was secure. Most importantly the common space made it easy to socialise and meet people. Would highly recommend!

just a perfect hostel. I’m usually picky about where I stay but this met every expectation. I was in a four bed mixed room. There is a bathroom in the room as well as a sink outside the room. the room was exceptionally clean, it seems like someone cleans it everyday. I actually didn’t mind walking barefoot in the room. There’s plenty of space, big drawers for your belongings. everyone is very helpful and nice. The overall Vibe was great. It’s close to everything. I have no complaints!

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be let down. The best hostel ever!! Everything is just awesome, even awesome is a small word. They host amazing experiences and the free walking tour hosted by Luigi is just wonderful, it captures the whole good essence of Rome, would definitely recommend to stay at this hostel and the walking tours as well.

Now this is a bargain for sure, the people is kind , lovely, friendly, helpfull, rooms are clean also brand new (lucky us renovated I guess) in the middle of everything so it easy to reach anywhere you like by walkin or bus (metro also) easy to reach from airport too, rooms safe, good enough for the price, got a huge fully-featured kitchen for your cooking experience, you don't need to buy anything from shops find Carrefour and do your shopping, cook here eat here;)) also got laundry (self service) pc corner community room;)) if you are on a budget it is also works like a hostel. We feel like home and safe;)) Even in January, it is not cold in the daylight and not that cold in the evening. Get your water bottle and fill it out here (0.20 € for 0.5 liters) also got mini (not really working) fridge and really good working air conditioner in the rooms (no other heating method exist so we got a secondary blanket and that was enough) so even at the day one this looks like bargain. (I will not share a picture of the room but share a picture from the room) emre mir ekinci

The highlight of my stay was, without a doubt, the breakfast! It's not just authentic Italian cuisine, but truly the finest in terms of quality, accompanied by a wide array of choices. The staff's exceptional service is what sets this place apart. They create a warm, homely atmosphere that makes every morning a delight. The overall ambiance is remarkable; everyone is so cheerful and incredibly helpful, making it hard to even think about leaving. I would return here primarily for the exquisite breakfast experience. Giovanni, the proprietor, is a gem. He doesn’t just offer recommendations on the cuisine, but also shares invaluable insights about the city. He's one of the most extraordinary individuals you'll ever meet.

I stayed here at the start of November and loved it. Super clean, they come in and clean to a high standard each day and the bathroom was really clean which isn’t always the case in hostels! Also really friendly and helpful staff in an unbeatable location. Close to the train station and walking distance to the main sites. I’m in my 30’s and have felt judged at some hostels I stayed at but not here, all the staff are very welcoming! The washing machine was broken when I was there but once I notified staff they had it fixed within 30mins and came to tell me it was ready to use. Highly recommend this place.

Stayed here in September - all the staff that I talked to were so nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, fairly spacious and cleaned pretty well. Decent bathrooms and kitchen. The USB charging points next to the beds and lights were pretty handy too.

The facilities are great, this place seems pretty new (built in 2019, I think). Everything was perfect except that they charge 5 euro to borrow a towel and you can only pay that by cash. This seems to be one of the most expensive hostels in Rome, so if you stay here, you'll be among wealthier travelers with less diversity; most of the people I met here had English as a first language. Edited to add: another slight annoyance, there are often people smoking in the courtyard and lobby, and the smell gets into the game room and kitchen.

The bar seems to just be a facility for the staff and their friends instead of for guests. I bet the owner/ manager would be interested to see how they turn away hostel residents and serve their friends instead. Otherwise a nice hostel but can’t overlook bad service.

The RomeHello is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Very good location, you can walk to the Colosseum and Pantheon area, the metro station to the Vatican is around the corner. Very safe area, with many public buildings and security guards. The physical structure of the Hostel is excellent; spacious, clean, beautiful, colorful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. All this for a fair price. Hostel 100% recommended.

Excellent service! Reception team were especially joyful and courteous. Good value for money. Located in a quiet street, close to the main train station. There's a supermarket nearby. The property was very clean, with modern interior. Our room (3 single beds with private bathroom) was spacious with big windows. All amenities worked fine. Inner courtyard was nice. Communal kitchen was well equipped. Vending machines were also available - I love the one vending espresso. The elevator/lift can be slow at times. Food option in the vicinity was limited, especially at night. Location is slightly outside the main touristic area - and it can be a challenge to walk back and forth; but the Repubblica metro station is nearby. Soundproofing can be improved - one time, we heard noises (like stomping; not sure where it's coming from) very early in the morning, for quite some time. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

An amazing hostel!!! Purchased a three bedroom private room for my friends and I, and it felt like I was at the Marriott. Sara at the front desk is so kind and helpful. They helped my friends and I schedule a van to the airport! Highly suggest this hostel when visiting Roma!

A lively atmosphere, super friendly staff, impeccably clean, and a short walk from some major attractions. This is definitely a little community and all the social activities are a lovely idea. The beds are comfy and the rooms really pretty quiet, we'd stay again very happily! The 'welcome drink' tokens are a nice touch too!

The best place to stay in Rome ! Clean Rooms with hot water day and night, full fridge with bottles of water, we checked out at 11am and we could leave our baggages there until we left. They also gave us the chance to take a quick shower and go even we had already checked out! Full breakfast with a lot to eat, pancakes, eggs , sausage, coffee, juice ! Very friendly staff! I will let all my friends in Greece to know about this beautiful hostel !

Stayed here for 3 nights, nice hostel in a good location, less than 10 mins walk to Rome Central Station (Termini). I was slightly worried about staying in a mixed dorm for the first time but didn’t have any issues, everyone was super nice. There were two showers and two toilets in our room between 10 people which was great, never had to worry about waiting. Would stay here again if I’m in Rome!

If you are coming from the U.S. you will find the customer service here make you feel like home. I really recommend this gem to anyone. The staff speaks well English and are very attentive. I stayed on March 2022 and it wasn’t packed, but there were quite a few guests. All the main attractions in Rome aré within walking distance from here. No need for metro, bus or scooters. I even used their washing/drying machines. They work pretty easy for 4 euros per load.

It's nice to meet people and socialise while going through the marbles and marvels if the city. The biggest improvement this hostel could make is add small curtains to it's bunk beds to close it off thus giving you more privacy!!! Other than that it's a great place to stay for the fair price.

My 11 year old and I stayed here for five nights in a private room. There were a lot of other families with older children, and the hostel was very safe. It was also very very clean. The cleaning staff deserves a lot of praise. There were excellent activities every night, a very comfortable lounge, and good laundry facilities. Everyone was friendly and relaxed. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Rome.

First experience in a Hostel and it was not quite different than a usual hotel. Rooms were clean and beautiful. If I have to say something negative that would be the price which is a little too much for a hostel but it's something that I knew about so I cannot blame the hostel about that.

I recently stayed here for three nights and found this place good value for money. Location wise, it’s 30-40 minute walk distance to almost all major tourist attractions. There is also a subway station nearby, which has a direct line to Vatican Museum. It’s about 10 minutes walk to Roma Terminal (the main train station) I booked a bed in female dormitory as I was traveling solely. The facility was in good conditions. Just remember to bring your own tower and lock. Staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here

Pleasant experience for a hostel/hotel. They have some free activities arranged for everyday. -1 star because the shower was switching between hot and cold constantly during my two nights stay, it was miserable 😭.

Absolutely amzing . I've done my fair share of traveling and I can not recommend this place enough. Staff go above and beyond. Kid friendly, disability friendly and just truly nice people. Extremely clean and green friendly too. I wish they had more places around the globe 🌎 thank you for making our experience so much better in Italy 🇮🇹

Was a solo traveler. I’m VERY shy..and RomeHello is the first of several I’ve been to that’s REALLY proactive about bringing you together with new people. I ended up making several friends in the common room through activities facilitated by the events coordinator. The staff are extremely friendly, and are actively so, not just nice when approached. By far my best hostel experience I really can’t suggest anyone stay anywhere else in Rome. Only downsides are the welcome drink voucher is only for beer and the “10% of food/drink” at the bar is only for dinner…yet I ordered lunch without that having been clarified

This hostel was more like a hotel but it was clean, comfortable, and in a safe and quiet area. It is central to most of the sites in Rome and was definitely the fanciest hostel I've ever stayed in. The kitchen was a clean and a great bonus! It was a bit on the pricey side for a private room but the facilities were great and the location made it worth it.

  • 5/5 Yasmin F. 9 months ago on Google
super clean room, i stayed in 3 bed female only room and it felt almost like a hotel room with the bathroom being in the room. A/C is so appreciated after a long day walking and the downstairs kitchen amenities are great. the breakfast was pretty good :) would stay again, only downside is the price but i thought it was worth it in the end

We stayed in a private room for 2 for 4 nights. This is the first hostel we stayed in during our 2 week trip and honestly it was the cleanest place we stayed. With that in addition to the socializing benefits of hanging out in a hostel with other travellers, I would highly recommend you stay here on your trip to Rome. All the main sights are in walking distance (no more than 45 minutes away and most stuff is much closer).

Believe the hype. When I came across this hostel and saw all the incredible reviews… well, let’s just say I wasn’t quite buying it. I can tell you now that this is without a doubt the best hostel experience I’ve ever had anywhere. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Always willing to answer any question or address any issue without a hint of impatience or bad attitude. Which I know from past experience that this means a lot in Hospitality! The location is amazing. Literally couldn’t be more center to everything in Rome. Every attraction is within walking distance. They serve a buffet style breakfast in the on premise restaurant for 7euro every morning and it is legitimately good. One slight critique is that they could heat it up just a bit more… I was there first thing each morning and it was sort of cold lol. The hostel itself is in near perfect condition and perfectly kept up. Clean, modern, and incredibly comfortable. Roma Termini is right around the corner. Another metro station is even closer. I really can’t say enough good things… I hope the RomeHello maintains their high standards because I definitely plan to stay again.

Very friendly staff, clean and nice open spaces. The only drawback were the hidden fees in everything, from purchasing a lock, to weighing your bag.

The best hotel/hostel I've ever stayed in! The front desk does in fact speak English, the amenities are top-notch, central Rome for a great price! They even have storage lockers you can use on your checkout day so you can travel without your bags even after the checkout time. A fantastic place that is warm and welcoming.

A really fantastic hostel with a lot of character and friendly service. Everything was clean and well maintained. Additionally, it was in a good spot (right next to metro stop and a bunch of bus lines and far enough away from the sketchy train station)

Had a great stay at the hellorome hostel. It’s in a great location that is walking distance from all major sites. They also had great events such as a pasta making class(sadly did not participate) and community dinner. The walking tour is did on Saturday was excellent. The hostel is clean and has a very social vibe. Would recommend staying here

Everything here is beyond my expectation. The location is super good. The room and toilet is tidy even I stayed in 10 people mixed dorm. There are daily activities on the evening that look fun, and small welcome drink refreshing you after long day travelling. Staffs are also super nice:)) Other reviews are reliable! Just one area of improvement, I think the hostel should have rule prohibiting talking on phone at night in the room. Two girls in my room spoke on phone more than 2hours. One of them are the bed below me, so it is super annoying.

Great place to stay. Walking distance from so many things, most of all the metro. Staff was professional, happy and helpful. The rooms were clean and refreshing. Mattress was so comfy and love the chilly a/c air. Much needed on the hot days of my trip.

Outstanding. Not what I remembered a hostel to be from all those years ago. Family room queen bed + bunk beds. Inaccurately clean. Friendly and more than helpful knowledgeable staff. Secure clean safe.highly recommend this to families and singles alike. Very impressive

  • 5/5 Nicholas C. 1 year ago on Google
The cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. Spacious, lots of common spaces, a kitchen you can use with dishes and fridge space. The location is right next to the train station, so you don't have to carry your bags across the city. And it's also still fairly close (about a 20-30 minute walk) from Rome's famous sites. There is someone at the reception desk 24/7, and they were helpful every time and even gave recommendations on what to do in Rome. I definitely recommend staying here.

  • 4/5 K C. 1 year ago on Google
Had a nice stay at this place. We stayed in a private double room. The room was really clean and had a mini fridge. The bathroom was really spacious. I think the walls are thin as we could hear the people near us (speaking really loudly at 3 a.m.). Maybe it was bad luck. So probably would recommend bringing your earplugs. We didn’t stay long but the common areas were nice too. The best is probably the location. Very central and convenient to move around Rome. We arrived early and they let us leave our luggage until we waited for the check in. The only major downside was the breakfast. The options were limited and the quality was poor. I would recommend getting the breakfast elsewhere. In general, I’d recommend staying at this place.

A super modern and centrally located hostel! Since I've stayed in many hostels in my life, I've had many positive and negative experiences and I have to say that RomeHello is one of the best hostels so far. The rooms and kitchen are modern and well equipped, you feel right at home when you step into the entrance area and the staff is very nice. The common room and terrace were really cozy as well. The only drawbacks for me were that you had to pay extra for a towel (but 2 euros wasn't really expensive so that was fine) and the proximity of the beds. I've slept in a mixed bedroom. Here it would've been nice if the beds were a bit further apart to ensure some privacy, especially if you're sleeping next to a guy. An advantage was that you had the possibility to lock stuff away in drawers underneath the bed but you needed to use your own lock or buy one for 3 Euros. The hostel cooperates with a restaurant that is called the Barrel. That was practical for evenings when you haven't had something to eat and didn't want to look for a supermarket anymore. Five and a half stars from me!!!

Booked this as a first-time solo traveler and it was amazing! so safe and clean. they are right next to the subway and a wonderful restaurant around the corner. They have things where you can meet other people staying there. I'm 23 and it was very cute and comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend.
