Four of us chose Cheals to celebrate our wedding anniversaries as we had previously enjoyed the Henley restaurant. We opted for the tasting menu & it didn't disappoint. Each dish was a work of art- so much effort & love had gone into creating a total taste sensation. It is hard to single out any one course but the soufflé has to get a special mention- it was magnificent. Well done to all the team, both in the kitchen & front of house. The service was exemplary, the wait staff were all friendly, efficient & knowledgeable & the sommelier kept our glasses well filled to ensure an evening we won't forget.

Excellent food, a real treat for a special occasion. Liked you could mix and match menus. We didn’t go for the tasting menu but we’re given hors d’ouevres and appetisers in between courses so you almost get that experience anyway! Lovely attention to detail with a last minute pudding from the chef for our anniversary!

I booked in this time for celebrating my friend’s birthday. After a simple call, everything was prepared perfectly. We both had a beautiful welcome drink and of course the food was delicious as usual. She also got a little birthday card with all the staff’s signatures. Marvelous. Thank you all for the arrangement. We had such a great time.

A truly wonderful dining experience! A beautiful restaurant and bar, attentive and professional service from the second you walk through the door until you leave. We both had the tasting menu and were blown away by the explosions of taste, textures and theatre! For me this is one of the best restaurants I have experienced in the Midlands (by far), how it hasn't got a Michelin star YET is absurd!

Absolutely brilliant, we felt like the only people in the restaurant. The food, service, wine everything was amazing. We had the tasting meal (which was outstanding) with wine. Our only concern at the beginning of the night was that it would be rushed…. How wrong we were. We spend over 3 hours enjoying the most amazing food and wine I think we could imagine. So many wonderful memories. Thank you to the staff, the chef (who is clearly amazing) the sommelier who’s knowledge was fabulous for giving us the most brilliant experience

Oh my goodness what a special treat this was. We had the 7 course tasting menu and everything was totally delicious, perfectly presented and delightfully served by all the staff. Being gluten free I was really pleased how well they could adapt the dishes for me. Definitely looking forward to going again, thank you 😊

Absolutely loved every moment. The food was exquisite and the service was impeccable. Shout out to Liam and Eve who served us throughout the evening. Worth every penny.

Came here for celebrating anniversary with my partner. Service and atmosphere are amazing, and of course the food. Will deffo come again:)
