Stunning building with warm and welcoming staff. I stopped by for lunch and they staff were so sweet. There is an outdoor seating area too. I had the vegan roti wrap which was delicious! Also had the green plantain chips with guacamole which was good too.

Went to the monthly dance on first Friday, had dinner and a rum punch the music was tip top, the sound system was ace, it was a lovely time. It was little bit of the Caribbean I'd live at the tabernacle if I were not a visitor to the UK.

I have been coming to this local meeting place for over 35 years and the warm and welcoming vibe has not changed. This weekend we had a two floor, pop-up market show-casing black owned businesses of various types including, fashion design, books, toys, food, drinks and artworks. All of the highly talented business owners were so pleasant and it was a pleasure to come along and support small businesses who are trying so hard to succeed with no visible support from the UK government. Keep going Tabernacle you are doing a fabulous job welcoming all from far and wide!!

Lovely facility for a performance space. I saw David Sedaris' radio 4 show recorded there & it was perfect. There is also a lovely café there where the food looked amazing! An unexpected find was an exhibition of the real story behind the BBC's Real Axe film, Mangrove. Fascinating & made me go home to watch that film again.

I came here to meet my other Zumba instructor friends, and we enjoyed a very good hospitality and nice range of food and drinks. Some items were not available which could limit the options as some of us are vegetarian or have different tastes, and when the kitchen closed it made it difficult to us to communicate due to the stainless steel clacking at the service area and the kitchen.

The band was amazing. Drinks were affordable, not a big fan of the food though.

By chance I ate here twice in one week first time was a catch up with my cousin who lives nearby. Food was OK jerk chicken was a bit disappointing for me more sweet than spicy. Second visit was a lads catch up so I ordered different things and I was plesenty surprised amazing chicken wings to start and a prawn curry for my mains. It was all OK everyone else enjoyed their choices even the jerk chicken, which a few days ago I found not to my liking. Guess things change in a few days .can't please everyone all the time I suppose

Gentrification is real...the vibrant west Indian community must have been here about 1000 years ago...all what is left are some pictures on the wall and some cuisine inspired by them and a brief history of their migration to this land mass...

The Tabernacle is one of the best places to visit in North Kensington. The food is phenomenal and the cocktails are amazing. A great local venue with meeting space and community events and activities. There is something for everyone here.

Wow, what a venue and fabulous support by the events team, before and during the event. We hosted an event in the theatre space, 150 guests, entertainment, speeches, food, drinks, security, Audio Visual, etc., and we couldn't have been more pleased with how everything went. It makes such a huge difference to have a professional, friendly and helpful events team, security and AV person on site. Thank you Katie, Dan and all at The Tabernacle for making our charity's 30th Anniversary Event such a smoothly run and stress free one!

I attended a birthday party held here today . Great size rooms for kids birthday parties . This was for 3/4yr olds . I have to say the food was yummy and healthy (I actually don’t know what’s on the menu ) we had mini pizza , sweet potatoes chips , norm chips , carrot, pepper, cucumber sticks , massive variety of fruits which were lovely and fresh and the chef & kitchen staff were super helpful , couldn’t do enough . Great job guys Thank you . would definitely recommend.

Worst bar service I've had in a long time. Ignored for over 5 minutes with another lady as the staff were extremely inattentive & not following any process. Person who served me did not know the menu and looked lost. Next person I spoke to was unenthusiastic and I ordered three times before I could actually get a drink. No apology offered for having to wait or that they were out of ingredients for a Bloody Mary.

My little one goes to the ballet classes here. They are all absolutely amazing with him. He is autistic but going to these classes has helped hugely with his confidence. Miss Lorraine, Miss Anna, Miss Anna and Mr Spencer are outstanding ⭐

Cool community venue with nice staff, reasonably priced drinks, damn good brownies and a nice, Caribbean influenced menu. Brilliant memorabilia from the pioneering days of carnival and resistance to the hostile entertainment endured by the Windrush generation and their descendants. Nice alternative to the overpriced and gentrified eateries on the main drag of Portobello.

I went here for a film course, me! 😄 Long story. Anyway, it was a first visit and I was impressed. Nice entrance way, very welcoming and there seems to be a lot going on there too. Nice large bar area which is cosy and they do food there too, only not today as they are still preparing after the carnival. Worth a look in!

Great venue. Lots of community activities and little theatre inside. Great restaurant and bar with a Caribbean twist. Nice staff.

Always nice to go there as there is always something going on such as live music, steel pan band playing or even socca singer. When the sun is out you can seat outside and watch people passing by. Really nice for families with young children as they have plenty of space to run and play games

Very welcoming place. Security and cafe staff are very polite. I feel relaxed when sitting at the cafe table in spite of the busyness!! Highly recommended.

It's a nice space and outdoor space, staff on the bar are lovely. Food is nice. Only negative things is when there is a party no-one else can order food. Alot of regulars like to have family meals on the weekend and waiting could be over 2hrs. Signs could be put on the doors to inform people rather than us ordering loads of drinks whilst looking at the menu only to be told nothing will come out for a few hrs, then to have to order from somewhere else.

Lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely place to come with the family for a evening listen to some music and eat. The food is good, drinks are normal price none or alcoholic beverages. Will definitely be going back.

I am a regular at the Tabernacle and I love the place and always feel relaxed and welcome there, unfortunately it seems to be run very badly, tables are not cleaned or cleared regularly, the bar is becoming very shabby and unloved, which is a great shame. I think new, energetic and enthusiastic management will revive its popularity
