Jamawar is a great option for tasty Indian dishes. The restaurant is currently merged with the Tang Chao (Chinese) restaurant inside Holiday Inn, Salmiya. We tried their set menu for 2 persons. It comprised of lentil soup, salad, a starter dish of chicken tikka, samosa and onion bajja, followed by main dish of butter chicken, chicken biryani and dal makhani (popular North Indian lentil dish) and gulab Jamun (a sugary treat) Everything tasted great but it was too much for us, but they were kind enough to pack it for us for takeaway. Prices are on the higher side but they normally have coupons for kd 6.950 on sheeel.com. For that price, it is well worth it.

The food was very average and the menu is super limited. The ambience is good. One of the most annoying things was that they do not the most basic requirement of a wash basin. You are required to exit the restaurant and cross the lobby at the entrance in order to use the washroom or wash basin. Service is also very off. I had the prawns bamboo biryani which was loaded with spice. The chicken pakoras were not cooked well, had a lot of ginger garlic taste in it. The only thing that was ok were the chutneys.

A very good Indian restaurant inside the Holiday Inn Hotel in Salmiya, Kuwait. Cosy ambience with Indian decorations, delicious food, courteous staff. A good variety of food items to choose from- grilled (tantoor), Biriyani and rice, Indian bread, starters and sweets. Generous portions at affordable prices.

Great food and authentic Indian flavors in all the dishes that we tried..Their zafrani tikkas are surely recommended..the only part that turned me off was the food coloring which I felt could be substituted by some other spices... We ordered chicken biryani. It was spicy and exactly cooked the way Indians prefer. Butter chicken and butter paneer was fair enough.. although paneer was less and more was gravy. Overall great ambience and good food..👍

I came with my family for diwali dinner to Jamawar and to my surprise i just loved the ambience highlighting diwali decorations, l would like to appreciate the high level of service presented to us by Vinoth , Vivek, Vishnu .Will surely visit again also recommend to my friends and family in Kuwait .

Bad food, and unhygienic service container. This is not a place for vegetarians. Very limited choices. Their bamboo biryani is big NO. The bamboo container is unhygienic and offers no finesse when serving it. The inner part of the bamboo container felt not clean. When asked to replace the stale, gone off chutney, the response was this what we have. The ambience is lousy. We were seated next to kitchen door with blaring mixture noises. And on beautiful sunny afternoon we sat under sharp incandescent bulb. Never to visit again. And strongly recommend others who are seeking Indian vegetarian food - this is NOT the restaurant.

I had a not so pleasant experience with my order placed thru Talabat & had posted regarding the same. It was however a pleasent surprise that I was contacted by Jamawar immediately. They even insisted that they be given a chance to change my opinion of both their food & service by delivering my complete order again free of charge. The food which we received 2nd time around was delicious however what impressed my the most was their commitment to do whatever it takes to keep the customer happy.

Honestly such a poor experience. I have a nut allergy and literally one thing on their menu didn't have nuts. Customer service was also poor with confused staff unsure of allergen information and who simply weren't willing to get naans for our table after 4 polite requests. Stunned that this and mais Al ghanim both have 4.4 stars on Google when one is so clear.

Ruba was a very nice wietress. service was amazing. The food was real authentic indian. Atmosphere is nice with calming indian music. I would give the place 5 stare easily

One of the worst if not the worst Indian restaurants in kuwait, don't let the decor fool you.. -extremely expensive (ordered 6.750 kd shrimp, and got 4 pieces with sad lettuce) -I'd accept the cost if it tasted good, but it doesn't.. Indian food is supposed to taste wonderful, filled with culture and spices..it was bland and lacks any kind of flavor. -the presentation is sad too, all that's used is lecture as a garnish.. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn many times in Salmiya but never eaten at this Restaurant. From the outset it looks quite authentic in terms of decor but I guess that’s where it ended for me. The service was poor having waited quite long to order and then I asked for additional condiment which didn’t arrive until after I needed it. Then my plates were not cleared until I got up to get my own bill. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh, it was tasteless and extremely bland, the lamb did not taste fresh nor marinated for long. I won’t be going back to this restaurant within the Holiday Inn.
