The food is good, the gardens feel good and the price fair. It still kept the admirable style of the late 90s era hotel services. But the standard room sizes/service and customer care are unsatisfactory.

Nice hotel to stay in Adama. I appreciate the service, compound and breakfast.

This is one of the traditional hotels out here. Beautiful gardens and environment at initial glance. Most of the business I had in town was here so became a first choice to stay. The rooms are traditional & big enough however the team needs to pay attention to the mosquitoes in the room and ensuring the mosquito net plus bed linen are clean plus free of dust. Also If you stay in block B - be conscious of the whole night noise of something like a water pump nearby and music into the early AM from the nearby bar. The toilets struggle to flush and management seemed surprised when I raised these issues. Also take note the residential blocks have no lift. Plan to carry minimal luggage especially if your room is on the third floor as you will have to carry it all the way up the stairs. From the general outlook - great hotel, the bar with its meals and drinks - excellent. Accommodation requires an overhaul in my 1 night experience.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and loved it. I love how they keep it authentic and a bit oldies. They have a spacious meeting rooms and wonderful garden. Won't find a garden in town better than at the Caneth. The staff is very very humble. The restaurants are open until very late say about 11ish. I didn't give it five star only because it doesn't have a gym.

I really enjoyed my stay at Caneth (AKA Rift Valley Hotel). This was the second time and by coincidence I had the same room as last year. The garden is simply lovely and the outside bar and restaurant are to be found right there. The food and drinks are good and friendly priced, so are the rooms. There may be an occasional wedding going on and then it will be noisy until late (I experienced two in one week!). But those are somebody's fun, so alright with me. As for hygiene: the room was well kept but the bathroom can certainly be cleaner, the floor, toilet and sink were done daily, but the tiled walls... wel:, like never. That is the only minus I can speak of, the people working there are all very kind, willing and helpful. I can recommend this place.

We had a beautiful suit with our own lounge. But many mosquitos, especially at night, so I will recommend bringing your own repellent . It was lovely to eat at the restaurant next to the gardens.
