Beautiful property and excellent location. It is far from main city, and hence there was very less sound, light or air pollution. Just go the main entrance of the property in the night and you could easily see millions of stars and constellations. You can easily get beautiful views of sunset and sunrise, maybe even from your bedroom. Not many people/vehicles on the road in night which can be seen as both safe and unsafe, but we felt good taking a short stroll on the dark road under the stars. We stayed in the villa which had a private lawn area, and it was beautiful to just sit down and spend quality time with family and not worry about anything else. Breakfast was complementary, unlimited and very tasty. Service was prompt, and all staff (especially Ganesh) were very welcoming. There was enough parking space for 10+ cars or tempo travellers. Cons: 1. Bathrooms were not up to the standard. All faucets were leaking, toilet seat was not attached firmly to the ground. 2. Location is far from main city, and hence you may need to rely on the food offered by the hotel for lunch and dinner. 3. Lighting in the rooms should be improved. There was only 1 bulb in all the rooms and they were not sufficient for our taste. More bulbs should be available as a choice for guests to use as needed.

This place is awesome. Beautiful scenery.. Very helpful staff.and food also good. Would recommend if you want to enjoy a stay away from city.. Very pleasant calm and quiet place. The rooms were also very neat and tidy Food was fresh and home made Thanks for making our trip a memorable one

Excellent place, friendly staff and most importantly delicious food. For the person who has seen ooty in detail and wants a relaxed stay overlooking nature and mountains and element of peace this is a must visit place.

Cottages located at a beautiful valley, surrounded by lush green hills. Cottages are descent for a family. Service is excellent. Mr. Balaji, our caretaker, was very attentive and prompt. Home cooked meals with decent quantity per dish. Ample parking space. Highlight would definitely be the location the cottages are situated in. Away from the chaos of the town, amid peace and quiet.

The rooms and locations are awesome. Service is good, and the caretakers are extremely polite and humble. Loved the aura. Food can be better. Apart from that, it's awesome... Just go for it if you are looking for splendid location.

It was the worst experience ever in life at the Bowers Chalet. My daughter booked this place by looking at the pictures and reviews through MakeMyTrip for my husband and me. When we arrived after driving 8 hrs, manager Mr Vijay told us that the hotel was completely booked and there was no room for us. Even after showing the confirmed booking, they could not arrange any room for us. We waited a couple of hours and contacted many people, but ultimately, we had to move out of the place because the cold left us with no choice other than to sleep in the car. Due to cold weather and no proper arrangements, I got a fever and trusted this hotel spoiled our trip. It is far from local Ooty places, and there is no commitment. Avoid this place as they give two bedrooms to partying students and groups. Usually, they are drunk and create a hassle for the rest of the people who chose this hotel to find peace and greenery. We observed loud noises and drunk people around during our two hours of waiting time. Avoid this place as it is not worth it as they charge even higher than most popular branded hotels without providing a quality stay.

This is an excellent stay, Good view point from the cottage, Neat, clean and hygienic cottage. Food is extraordinary available and prepared here upon the order by Santhosh. Staff is very very responsive helpful, and we always only prefer to stay here when we want to be in Ooty or near by. We got villa for all our three families made us more comfortable and enjoyable.

Beautiful location, it is surrounded by farming lands and great view points. Highlights: 1) Location 2) Private room and play area 3) Homemade foods with decent rates 4) Services (they are always available to serve). They are allocating separate person for each room 5) Cleaned bathroom and availability of hot water Suggestions: 1) Can add children play area 2) The room's front private area needs to be maintained properly, I could see lots of grass 3) I could noticed some of the places in the room was not cleaned properly like bed's headrest back side and windows grill (I could see some insect)

The Bowers Chalet is located in a remote area, stargazing and campfire during nights are the best things here. Room is average, service is good. Breakfast is good. Not worth the price we are paying for.

Many things were wrong with this property apart from Location. I will list out a few and I'll describe our experience below. 1. Geezer wasn't working properly. 2. There were no Lights in our room!!!! 3. No wifi, No bath towels were provided, no mirrors inside room (one mirror is there in bathroom and the bathroom is very SMALL!!!) even drinking water came after we told them to bring. 4. Most deceptive thing about this property is two different rooms were separated by a door!!! Means the rooms are interconnected and you can hear the voices, talking, whispers and moans from next room. So to hell with privacy and noice cancellation. 5. Their deceptive description says many things like a balcony, garden view, mountain view etc, only mountain view is true. 6. Washroom is pretty small and not very clean or modern. And if you take a dump there, your room becomes smelly. You can hear the guests from next room is also watching sitting on toilet in their room. 7. Blankets and bedsheets were not washed for sure, they used perfume to make it fresh. 8. There was a TV, but no remotes were there. Even though if there's any remote since we don't have wifi there, it's pretty useless. To be honest I don't really care about the wifi or TV part. If everything else was good then we would have loved this stay.

The room atmoshere is very worst. They are not clean. Bathroom is very badly smelled. The door did not seem secure and was not evened out so noises got in easily. Steel door making a noise heavily. I will not recommend this place to the family. I don’t even know how they got 4.4 out this rating. The staff were respectful but they are the reason for the poor hygiene of the rooms. They provide me very old and dust mattresses. This is suitable for couples only not for Families.

Room was just okay. But the service and location are amazing. It's worthy to pay just for location. And their complimentary breakfast is nice. Easy and safe place for solo travelers. Love this place just because of the scenery from room.

Great view, peaks are infront of your room, Clean natural water & room, little bit distence from ooty but you feel the out of city silence... value for money... and finally you can view the ultimate sunrise..👌

Excellent scenic views around the cottage.. Worth for the amount we paid... Food and room service is excellent.. Food is so delicious and worth the cost.. Fulfill all our needs..The Caretaker - hijaz helps us a lot.

One of the most wonderful and awesome sceneries locate in the place. The day was awesome in the Bowler chalet and having a good memory. People who are in for service did their job straight... They made us satisfied with their room services. The food was awesome and the people were ready to make a promise even though in the rain.. Especially barbecue was made when we had the heavy wind with a drizzle. Thanks, guys. I will visit again.

Really awesome and private place to enjoy with family and friends... Beautiful ambience and view points... Services are good with all basic facilities. Having good place for walking and play area with scenic view... Foods taste is okay but not so good...

No idea how this place got 4 stars. It's so far the worst hotel I stayed in. Wanted to leave the same day but as it's in the middle of nowhere and we checked in late in the evening, had to to stay a night in this garbage bin. Rooms have a terrible smell as if something has died in there. Wallpapers are torn, cutlery unwashed, flies everywhere. This place must be sealed for the unhygienic accommodation it provides to people by misleading them through manipulation of ratings and images online. The only thing good was the staff but they too should resign than being associated with such a scam.

We were lucky enough to find availability in this hotel in the last moment. It was a great experience staying here with a scenic view. With kids one could spend time outside early mornings really well. Till the time we reach, as the place is a little away from the town, the owner was in touch with us and made sure we were in right direction. Staff service was good, on time and highly flexible and organized in everything. No complains at all. Vignesh(staff) was assigned to us who was extremely polite and made sure that we were all comfortable during our stay. He even managed to cook some food for the kid for evening snacks with ingredients that I carried and didn't charge for it, because they have a menu for all meals which remains same through out. No problem of hot water. There is heater available if weather is too cold which is additional charge. They even managed to arrange a bed for the driver which we really appreciate. Food was very good. even my toddler enjoyed the breakfast and dinner as it was not that spicy. Breakfast there were choices of 3 items which really helped. We mostly spent time in the hotel as all the places in ooty was extremely crowded. Over all it was a memorable trip and will surely visit again.

The place is situated in one of the best locations in Ooty. Located in between two beautiful hills overlooking amazing view of the valleys and mountains on both the sides, it gives you just the right feeling you want for a weekend getaway. The room service provided by Madan was so good and he really understanding and friendly all the time. The prices are way too decent for the services and view provided. They will provide bonfire and barbecue on request for extra charges The city centre is half an hour drive from the place and you can easily locate them in Google.

The food and service was really good. But there is big scope of improvement in rooms and availability of entertainment at the site as it is far away from main city. And if you can have your own garden or something.

Room ambiance was just average but clean, but the service was outstanding. Everything was delivered promptly, including the food and snacks. The location is also very convenient. Sufficient parking is available. The Food was awesome both quality and quantity. Recommend both family and bachelor's. Mr. Balaji is very respectful and always ready to serve at any time.

Ooty was so hot during our stay. So we couldn't enjoy the real excitement of staying on top of the mountain.Otherwise,the rooms are very spacious to accommodate a big family. The room service and the kitchen services are really good. Balaji(staff) had been assigned to us during our stay. He was very kind and friendly.He frequently comes and checks our requirements. Overall, the stay was good in the Bowers chalet.

This is one of the best stays I ever had. The location with view is a huge advantage for travellers. The service was Awesome. Balaji was always ready to help at any time and he is very friendly too. He provided all the services and help whenever required.

Very good place to deep dive in nature. Staff are polite and food and service is good. 10km way from ooty town. If you have own vehicle then this place is good. You can stay here for 1 or 2 days.

Rooms was good and the location is so nice to see mountains around it. But the only thing discomfort is interlinking door between two rooms. Need to build a wall for it. Food is avg, best place to stay.

The cost what they charge is high for what they provide..👎 But the for the location view you can visit , 👍👍👍morning breakfast is good 👍, when we order dinner.. We had bad 👎 experience. One more on the street sideways they had current line if you are taking kids make sure is it safe...

Clean and hygenic place to stay and enjoy with your closed ones. The view is amazing in day and at night you can enjoy bonfire and do your own barbecue. The best part is the hospitality and service provided by the staff. They are humble and will go extra miles to cover your needs. Leaving happily!!!

It's around 10kms from ooty.. Easily reachable in 30 mins

It was a very nice place to stay for a holiday trip in Ooty. Scenic view of the Ooty slides, settlements etc. Wonderful calm place. Only disadvantage is that it is a little far from the main Ooty but if you like a calm place then you can go for it. Own car for commute would be great but should be very careful while driving down to the place as they’re tricky. Room service, food, camp fire all excellent.

The location is very interior, we travelled from Ooty at 5 by the time we reached the place it was pitch black. We had taken the room with the lawn but was not worth it. The rooms are good but the washroom were ok. The food is cheap but not tasty. Overall, the location is very interior and decent for the price.

It was pleasant stay there , the location was amazing away from city chaos, peaceful and calm. 360° view of mountains ❤️. We ordered dinners during our stay it was really good , campfire and BBQ was also worth it. Breakfast is complementary and was really tasty. Hospitality is top notch staffs are very humble and grounded. Only one feedback i would like to highlight here is regarding daily housekeeping is required which wasn't provided. Rooms are affordable and good at this price point.

If you going for vacation, one of the best resort in Ooty with Mountain View and silent place!! Room Service was best…best…best and most important thing is their food, we felt like a home food!!! Don’t miss it!!!
