9/20*I HAD TO OPEN A CLAIM WITH THE BANK TO GET MY MONEY. THEY NEVER WILLING RETURNED$ as promised below. I sent pictures of my botched haircut. I was refused a refund by the owner. After posting this review & pictures. They write below that I was refunded, which was a LIE. Anyone with short hair, I recommend looking at the 4 pictures posted as they speak the truth. Reivew; This is extremely unprofessional. To state this is what I asked for, and there was a miscommunication between me and Jenny is absolutely crazy. That Jenny didn't want to cut my hair like this, but under my direction, this what I asked for truely boggles my mind. Do you have cameras with audio? You would see I walked in with a full head of hair. I had pictures of what it looked like before. I was growing my hair for almost 4 months, and the right side is shorter than the left.. I proceeded to show Jenny 8 pictures of what my grow out hair goals are and the direction of what I'd like to go to in the future. She told me what would look good and what wouldn't. From there, she took over, and anytime I thought it might need a change, I asked her, "What do you think?" I would swear on my grave to this. I asked if my bangs should be shorter she said "no because you don't want a micro pixie." I listened to her, She then looked at me and stated they needed to be texturized." I didn't say please cut out sections of my hair and make them a few milliters long so that I have to comb over what's left on the right side (the shorter side) and the back because I want to hide all the blad patches I now have! Please leave me with milliters of hair randomly placed through this entire hair cut so nothing will sit right for the next 6 months. I didn't ask to please cut random long pieces and leave me with 2 inches of blobs of hair threwout. I would think if someone came asking for their hair to have holes and patches as professionals, you'd take pride in your work and the place you work and suggest something flattering. You would never train your staff to purposely give a bad haircut? You are telling me that you will not give me my money back because again, "this is what I advised Jenny to do." I wish I recorded our session because there is a lot of mistruth happening here. I was growing my hair out. Why would I ask to go shorter? So, the hair stylest is trained to not use their skill set. Just do what the client says. It's not what I asked for. I'd cry, but this is so bad, and I can't magically regrow hair overnight. I have to accept it. I spent $ 110.00 dollars. It was offered for me to get it fixed by Jenny for "free", I paid, nothing is free. Why would I place my trust in someone who left me bald spots on the top of my head. Snice by your (the owner) definition this was "my direction and miscommunication". You can't fix all hair that was cut out to milliters in length mixed in with the sections that are 4 inches. I didn't take Jenny to be the type of person to lie. When someone makes a mistake, owning up takes courage, and I would have respected that. I would have come in and let her see this and make this as a learning experience as your only human. I left with all my hair flipped (I have pictures). It was clear that the mistakes were being covered up. They will not give me my money this is very upsetting because it's clearly a horrific cut. Use your discretion, I'm going to contact my bank. Will that work? Most likely not, but I'm going to try. This place doesn't care about customer satisfaction, nor do they have the integrity to be HONEST. You don't like it, it's your fault. NO, this was your stylist fault for doing something out of their depth. Common, I look I ridiculous. I had to go spend more $$ for the sides and the back to be blended. The new place was horrified & I asked for an opinion..This could only be done by cutting to low with large texturizing sheers & there opinion it would be impossible for a stylist not know this was done. I had to buy a topper (clip on hair it's like a toupee lol)

I had the best experience! Jenni listened to my requests & gave me an absolutely perfect haircut. Can't say enough good things about her! I love the level of service & atmosphere of the salon, the little cafe by the entrance has such a fun vibe. EDIT 11/14/23 I just called the salon to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was so very very patient , professional and understanding with me! They must be so busy this time of the year but I didn't feel rushed to make a quick decision about my appointment. I truly appreciate the professionalism & kindness I was shown while I waffled through making sure what would work best for my schedule. Looking forward to my appointment with Jenny!

Some of the ladies who answer the phone need more customer training. They lack skills in answering the phones. I called this salon to schedule a consultation. I asked if they had a stylist who had been cutting hair for over twenty to thirty years of experience and also specialized in curly and straight hair. The lady who answered was not receptive or friendly. Yes, we do followed by awkward silence does not help a customer schedule an appointment. Trying to get answers from the lady who answered the phone was like pulling hen's teeth. They obviously didn't need a new client. It's not my job to pull information from the associates of this salon to figure out what stylist to have cut my hair. If they supplied stylist bios on their website, customers wouldn't need to call this salon to figure out who their stylists are. No I will never call this salon again. I have been an Aveda customer for years and happen to go to another privately owned Aveda salon across town. This location has issues.

Went in for a mom and daughter cut and style! My daughter had Coral and she was AMAZING! Patient and so gentle with her! I had Jen Lyn and she was just as AMAZING!!!! Transformed me into a polished professional! Highly recommend!!!! You will come out looking and feeling like a Rock Star!

My daughter had her nails done today. $47 gelish. There is nail polish on her cuticles and on the tip of one of her fingers. I don’t think this is appropriate for a nice salon and expensive manicure. She has only had two manicures before and left disappointed.

Lili it’s absolutely lovely. She is kind, considerate, and an excellent stylist. She listens to your needs and responds quite well. Very grateful for her expertise and her kindness!

Aneta was wonderful! She gave me the best pedicure I've ever had! Thank you Aneta: ) Avalon is one of the best salons in the area, and I would highly recommend all services they offer.

Marina really took the time to figure out what style was going to work best with my hair. She was extremely detailed in her work and helped me with questions on how to best style my hair. Marina is extremely sweet and I will definitely be back!

Elizabeth is an amazing person and hair stylist. She truly cares about her clients and it shows through her work. She checks all the boxes when it comes to what you want and making it come alive. She’s also just a great person to converse with and I love our stories and time together. Thanks for everything!!

I am very pleased with the service I got from Iryna. I have thin, difficult hair and she cut it beautifully without chopping it up. The color is gorgeous, exactly what I wanted. She is pleasant, smart and professional.

It was 1st time there and I saw Lili for a haircut. The salon itself was very cute and smelled delightful. I was offered fruit water or their signature tea upon check-in, their tea was wonderful. Lili was very kind and professional and gave me exactly what I asked for. I haven't had a haircut in over a year so she had alot of work cut out for her. I left with beautiful long layers and I feel fabulous!

Elizabeth is AMAZING!! She does such an amazing job with my hair and always goes above and behind to make me comfortable! I can not suggest her enough!!

Jenny is so patient w our fidgety 5 year old! We sent her a few Pinterest pics and she did awesome making his blonde hair look faux hawk trendy! She’s the best !!

Megan did an amazing job fixing the mistake a different salon made. I came in with yellow / orange hair and left with the blonde color I originally wanted :)

Jennifer once again did a fantastic job on my hair. She always does it exactly as I want it and I never have to give a ton of explanation. It’s very nice to have somebody who knows how to cut curly hair and does it well.

I truly like this salon, from the manager Clare to my stylist Lili. Lili is Wonderful! She is a true Master Stylist!!! I kid you not, this girl is a Gem 💎 if you have long textured hair, she is the one to give you that 🤩 wow blowout! And her color is always on key. Love her from day one.

Went in to get a back to school haircut. I had Jenlynn and she was just perfect! Not only was she great to talk to, but she did really good with my hair too!

Iryna gave me a fantastic haircut. I went in because I had gotten a haircut at a salon in Lake Zurich and was unhappy with it. I made an appointment with Iryna, and she could do exactly what I wanted. I showed her a picture of what my hair used to look like, and she made it look the same. Also, her product recommendation was spot on.

Very nice and clean place. I chose this location based on the reviews. My gel Manicure 💅🏻 looks great and Ashley was very nic and helpful.

I'm sooooooo happy Ena is back! She is a true professional who treats each pedicure as a spa experience. From the foot scrub to the ways she completely cleans your nails you know you're in good hands. I've been to other nail technicians here but none compare to Ena. For a luxury pedicure I wouldn't trust anyone else. Thank you Ena!

The front desk staff was awesome and accommodated me when I was running late for my appointment. They were very friendly on the phone and in person. Ankita was amazing. She took a lot of time with me and when I admitted that I don’t know much about how to do my own hair she gave me advice on styling and hair care. She was friendly, fun, professional, and knowledgeable.

Elizabeth is an awesome stylist. She cut and styled my hair with great care and finesse. Thank you Elizabeth..I know, I now have found my go to hair stylist now!!! :)
