When they’re good, they’re good. If you come at a bad time such as near close or staffed with certain people, you won’t get the quality experience that you’d hope for. I’ve praised this place to friends and colleagues many times just to eat my words several days later by getting burnt, dried out meat. Don’t ask for extra sauce because apparently it’s a big deal for them to make it. I give them 3 stars because they’re the best in town, but they need to live up to that reputation.

Got my order wrong twice and made me pay for it again. Bad service never again.

Here’s a local hack- if you want more meat than three tacos but want to pay less for the meal, order the Nachos with the meat of your choice. You will not only get more bang for your buck but also guac and addtl sauces. (Get the Guac Salsa). I recommend the Al Pastor, probably the best in the entire region (7-city wide). I would not recommend the steak as it’s mostly fat. Also, don’t eat here in-person. There is no seating and it’s a bit awkward if you do. It’s a take-out only.

Don’t waste your time. Owner doesn’t hold employees accountable. They will make whatever they feel instead of what you actually ordered, then pretend to not understand when you ask to get it fixed of for a refund. They will happily take your money though!

Disappointing not what I ordered, as well as wasn't the wrong order was horribly made.

We have been looking for authentic Mexican food. This is a very small but quaint restaurant. The best kind! The only issue was they did not have any guacamole, which is one of the reasons we drove all the way there. We were told this was the best. If you advertise it on your menu then you must keep it on hand. Other then that great food and employees

Im from south Chicago but recently started working in kankakee. I was looking for some good tacos like back home and decided to try this place. I walked in and thought i was walking into a storage space. The lobby is completely junkie and unprofessional, definitely didn't look like a functioning business. From there i was hesitant but decided to try the food anyway. I should have went with my first mind and went somewhere else because the steak tacos are so nasty and filled with nothing but fat not to mention the wait time was long, just a horrible experience. I hope this place gets it together soon because i was disappointed and wasted my money. Never again. Better tacos located on court st . I forgot the name but there are good tacos in the area just not here

I've been coming here for years for tasty tamales and authentic Mexican cusine. Try the avocado salsa! Great little restaurant.

Stopped to get a quick lunch. Service was good and quick. But can't say the same for the food. Guacamole was ok (didn't taste fresh and seemed a of they mixed in the older guac) and nachos were paper thin. Tacos all pastor had a very sweet taste to them. Definitely different and not too my taste. The girl asked if I wanted everything on it and sadly I assumed it was what it came with. They added ingredients and of course I was charged for it. Torta de pollo was made with cut up chicken and had no taste to it. It seemed to have a small amount of tiny pieces of lettuce and tomatoes, but not enough to give it some flavor. All in all food was bland. Definitely not my stop ever again.

I was on the far side of Bourbonnais. I called in an order for 2 steak torta's. I was told 10 minutes. Drove all the way there gave him my name and he gives me a cheesy smile and says they have no torta's and chuckles. May not have bothered me as much but he was laughing about it. At almost $4.00 a gallon for gas I sure would think he would know what they have and don't have. We get food from there 3-5 times a month and I am sure it won't hurt anyone's feelings, but Isidro's will NEVER get another dime of my money. To many other Mexican restaurants in town!

Always a good experience here. I have been coming here for years. I haven't had anything that I did not like here. Check it out!

Isidros is my go to place for tacos and burritos. They are a tiny restaurant with big flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. The Horchata is so good when they have it available to drink. Only problem I have with this location is if you order online they sometimes don’t get the order and therefore it’s not ready to pick up when it says it is. Their sauces are some of the best.

Favorite Mexican joint hands down the best burrito on this side of town. I would have to say considering I went to all others to try and this place surpassed them all. You will not be disappointed well I wasnt.

They have excellent tacos and some of the best quesabirria tacos I have ever had. Crazy this place is in the Midwest. Their cabeza tacos are the best I’ve ever had. They’re nice people, too. The main woman that owns it is very nice.

I'd ask them to reconsider removing tamales from their business name or reconsider their tamales recipe. Dry with a hint of meat. That was my experience. Edit: you sir are correct. I had to get fires later elsewhere.
