👍 Cafe review, Great coffee but oat milk only alternative, no almond milk? Literally coffee only, no sweet treats to go with it not even a biscuit. Prompt and efficient service, a smile would not go astray. The space is architecturally beautiful with a scenic outlook and is shared with Watkins winery. People often mention coffee, staff, Great, good, great, Dawn, service, options, amazing,

A very good coffee roaster who brew their coffee equally as well. An exceptional selection of beans from a range of origins and processing methods. It’s so good to be served by people who take so much care over what they do. Do visit if you’ve time to stop and savour the coffee, food, and surroundings.

Great new spot in McLaren Vale, coffee came out fast and looked great. We went after lunch one day, would be great if there was some options for wine/beer too. Would go again if I was in the area. Worth a visit if you are a coffee person even though it’s not in the most central location.

Friendly staff and amazing coffee experience. The guys make you feel like you’re visiting a friend. Definitely worth the long drive. The coffee tasting experience is just on Sundays.

This is a great option for coffee before heading out wine tasting. They have allot of options and preparation methods available. The coffee was very tasty, we did not order food, the service was very slow, it did not appear very busy by normal Cafe standards but yet the staff struggled keeping up. It took us a bit over 30min to get 3 coffees with 10 or so other patrons waiting. If they can increase their speed it would be awesome.

I think I may have just found my very own bagel and coffee heaven! First time visiting today and had the pleasure of choosing from a menu of coffee options from a variety of regions. The team are super kind & knowledgeable about the coffee and can give you guidance and advice on what to try, so fear not! The bagels are amazing! I mean not just the bagel, but the toppings too - I'm writing this having just visited, and I already want another one! 😂 The coffee menu changes each month, so there are plenty of reasons to come back, and I'm super excited to hear they are exploring some evening options that I think the space would be amazing for! Stop by, and just enjoy every moment!

High quality coffee. Busy place on a Sunday morning, lots of spots to sit, room for the kids to play with the chooks also..... Worth the small trip into the hills. Customer service excellent, friendly well knowledgeable staff. Coffee tastings or coffee by the each available.

Well folks, Dawn patrol is back open and moved shop down to Mclaren vale and it’s damn good to have them back with their incomprehensibly good coffee and their cool warehouse/shed vibes. I love this place and I absolutely love their coffee. If yo I haven’t been here yet do it because they are coffee champions. They also have some food available which is cool!

Great coffee, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Excellent spot to stop by for that afternoon caffeine hit. Only call out is that didn’t have much in the way of sweet breads/ cakes.

Beautiful coffee set in an industrial style shed next to some of the best Shiraz wine makers in the country. They even offer curated coffee tastings. Coffee was on the pricey side $11 for 2 coffees.

Dawn Patrol is a hidden gem, with beautiful decor, neon signs, and a grungy interior. However, the aesthetic of the place is the only thing going for it, aside from the coffee. The reason for this low rating is that we ended up having to wait an hour in total for two takeaway coffees… If we had been told upfront the wait time we would have left earlier. There was 10 minutes in line to order, and were told it would only be a 10-15 minute wait for coffee. In the end, we had to go up after 40 minutes to ask where our two takeaway coffees were, as people who arrived after us were being served first. The staff and systems need to be improved. The venue definitely needs to hire more staff for peak periods, and the staff who are working there need to learn the meaning of the word efficiency. There were only three staff rostered on and there needed to be a minimum of five to meet the demand of the holiday period. I hate to be so rude in this review but I was recommended to come here and left very disappointed.

Absolutely loved this place. The coffee was amazing and the bagel was delicious. Atmosphere was so nice and we had no problems with our toddler running around as there was plenty of room. Will be back!

The best coffee roasters in South Australia! Pop in on the way to wineries and take home an excellent single origin. I visited on roasting day and was graciously invited to watch their process. It’s hot!

Excellent coffee, a wholesale roaster in a country setting in the Adelaide Hills, open to retail on Sundays only complete with complimentary tastings. Our hosts Nick and Dom are dynamic, young and welcoming and know coffee in detail. Not to be missed!

Excellent service, coffee, views and atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for locals, passers by or day trips into the Adelaide Hills.

(Review of roastery, not café/tasting room!) On first visit to the Dawn Patrol roastery to pick up some fresh espresso machines it is easy to be overwhelmed by the number of options. Thankfully the staff were extremely helpful. By asking a series of questions about my coffee drinking preferences and habits they recommended me with the perfect blend (after providing me a sample shot of course!) I have visited many local roasters and confidently rate Dawn Patrol as up there with the very best.

Absolutely loved it and well worth the drive down from the city. Great coffee tastings by really friendly staff. Best pastry I've ever had. The Chickens are an added bonus that simply adds to the ambiance.

Great coffee and location. Dawn Patrol's food options are limited but great quality. Service can be touch and go, particularly during busy periods, and food wait can blow out quite a bit as they appear to just use a single sandwich press for all cooking and one toaster for their bagels. Lots of potential! Would love to see service match the prices.

Fantastic beans, consistent selections along with seasonal variations. Love the sustainable tins that have a new life in the shed. Very good value and fast shipping to east coast. Looking forward to visiting SA soon to try their inhouse coffee!

“Just after a coffee today? And to take-away”. Is not how I expected to be greeted at the tasting room. It was about 2.50pm. We had hoped to taste and buy beans, but because we were made to feel like we should just spend the least amount of time possible there, we did.

Coffee was good but only in standard cup (no mugs). Very limited food to have with coffee. Ambience was good but our table wasn't clean. Given COVID the expectation is tables are wiped and disinfected after each customer.

Great coffee, great people, great experience. I swear, Amy, (one of the baristas) makes the best coffee in Adelaide!

Dawn Patrol's single origin double shot short black & lemon meringue kicked my sunday into top gear. The staff were super friendly and put up with all our diva requests. Thanks ladies

The vibes are immaculate. The coffee worth the trek. The new barista with the green dress was a wholesome human.
