Truly amazing. It was exactly like the photos - hundreds of cuttlefish so close to shore - they were truly beautiful, different sizes and such brilliant colours (the photos are mine, taken with a normal camera). And the people at Whyalla Diving were so fantastic. A huge call out to to Swannie who was so patient with me when my brain refused to understand 4' of calm water was perfectly safe. She was so calm, supportive and understanding. Thanks to her I ended up having an unforgettable experience.

I had such an amazing experience with Whyalla Diving Services. I booked the tour and was welcomed by the lovely Ashley who made sure I was fitted well in my wetsuit and answered any questions I had! She was so informative and her bubbly presence made the tour extremely enjoyable. If you’re a confident swimmer you could most definitely just hire gear and go out yourself. However it was nice to have the luxury of someone giving facts about the cuttlefish, and not having to worry about the wetsuit once we were finished in the water as Ashley look it with her. The water was absolutely freezing, however you are suited with a body liner, wetsuit, hooded vest, socks, boots and gloves so once you get over the original shock of the water, the gear keeps you warm. We were in the water for about an hour and a half before it got too cold! Definitely recommend booking a tour here, or even just hiring the gear! Lovely staff and very helpful.

One of my highlights of touring the Eyre Peninsula. Wonderful things to see, not far from the coast. Only 30 meters. Thick wetsuits so you don't get cold. Only early in the season and still saw plenty. The giant cuttlefish were so beautiful and changed colour In front of you. Great guide, highly recommend.Toilet at the site.

We drove up to Whyalla for two nights just to snorkel with the cuttlefish! It was so easy to collect our gear and get set up at the shop in Whyalla. Our guide, Ashley, made sure everything fit and we were comfortable before we drove ourselves to Pt Lowly. It was freeeezing but it was so worth it because we saw so many giant cuttlefish as well as other fish and sea creatures. If you’re a confident swimmer you could easily skip the tour and just hire the gear, but it was good that we didn’t have to worry about getting any of our wet gear back to the shop ourselves.

Awesome team at the shop! As we hadn't been diving in a while Jeff took extra time with us to review some skills and make sure of our confidence level. We had a very comfortable dive and the cuttlefish were so cool to watch. The male / female interaction and the male / male sparring or showing off. It should not be missed if you are in the Whyalla area and the team at Whyalla Diving Services is there to take care of your needs.

Wow! We did a snorkel this morning with Col, and it surpassed every possible expectation you could have. We saw so many cuttlefish, a range of behaviours, actual mating, and the eggs. At the end we even spotted two seals playing the a cuttlefish. Col was a phenomenal guide. This was absolute bucket-list. With the high quality gear it wasn't even that cold. Best thing in Whyalla.

Very professional and patient. Assisted with kitting up....negotiating access ....and snorkling. No mean feat given my lack of coordination. Great to be able to view cuttlefish this way.
