Great barber shop although you need to book and have to allow the app you install to make the booking to remember your card details.

Elliot is an amazing barber and his passion for his work shines. Elliot not only manages my son's double crown and cowlick like its nothing, giving him a stylish cut. He is also incredibly patient and talented in dealing with a 1year old.

Anna has a great giggle and a wonderful turn of phrase that encourages some memorable banter that can include being enjoyed with all the guests in the barbershop. I have also enjoyed witnessing the business grow even through COVID. My observations are most clients are from the hills so the barber shop doesn't appear to have so many drops in's from the 1 million tourists that visit Hahndorf every year. I have been having my hair cut & beard trimmed by Anna and Elliot since The Picky Parrot Barbershop opened. Elliot has been cutting my hair for 24 months and he is an easygoing guy who has plenty of passions that are interesting to learn more about. His cutting style suits me so my hair can be business throughout the week whilst allowing the hairstyle to have more freedom and expression on the weekend. Anna stocks all the hair and beer products that I purchase and I’ve enjoyed a cold beer in the barbershop on the odd occasion. I am pleased to have seen the business grow and that bookings can now be made online. This avoids the wait time for locals such as myself. I've noticed that there is an old-school sit-down arcade game that looks fun when Fathers bring in their sons for a haircut. Whilst one person is in the chair the other two kids or father/son are playing doubles. Whilst Anna and Elliot are passionate about the barber shop they will continue to have me as a client for many years to come. I have a face and head for radio so Elliot works with what I have. Before I was coming to this barber shop my hair needed cutting every 3 weeks or it looked as if I had been dragged through a hedge backwards. With Elliot doing his thing I am now a regular every 4 weeks as my hair isn’t follically challenged and still requires thinning out with scissors in my 50s. I appreciate the team allowing me to bring my assistant dog Rosso into the barbershop. When I am in the chair, Rosso knocks off work and catches up on some sleep and surprises other guests on how much such a small dog snores so loudly so even Rosso feels very at home in the Barbershop as you will as well. I didn't have time to have the haircut before travelling to Germany for work. I visited a Baber in Hannover and for the first time in my life, I had my nose hair waxed. It was a great experience and I could feel like I could breathe through my nose better than ever before. I would certainly include this every time so hopefully more ask for this capability to the great services that are currently available.

The Picky Parrot is a absolute gem. Elliot and Anna always have a open door and go above and beyond, even when they are super busy. I've tried numerous places in the Adelaide Hills and Elliots attention to detail is top notch. Highly recommended 👌

Had my hair cut by Elliott (not sure on the spelling) today, he took his time to make sure I was happy and made the whole experience very comfortable. Really happy with the service, will definitely back 👍
