We stayed up here recently just to get away for a quiet weekend from the kids, being only 15 minutes from the city this may be something that we can do semi regularly. The location was gorgeous, the cottage was comfortable, and the local birds kept us company whenever we decided to hang outside. Highly recommended!

This cosy little cottage nestled in the Adelaide Hills is a hidden gem. Such a tranquil and peaceful setting brimming with wildlife on your doorstep. The cottage is perfect for a relaxing break away and is perfectly presented with all the home comforts you need. The breakfast provisions provided are ample and fresh and plenty of other staples such as oil, spices, tea, coffee etc are also available to use. Host Vanessa is lovely and made our Anniversary stay extra special by putting petals on the bed, leaving strawberries dipped in chocolate, roses and candles out. We really enjoyed our stay here and will revisit in the future. I would certainly recommend this as a great place to stay.

A beautiful, peaceful location. The cottage felt so welcoming on arrival with a cosy fire burning. It was so relaxing feeding and watching the birds and listening to the creek flowing. All in all a great place to stay. Everything you needed was there.

We absolutely loved the little cottage. The outdoor bath was a fantastic addition. Was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and not far away from Adelaide at all. Upon arrival the fire was already lit making the cottage nice and warm and cosy, a platter of food was waiting for us in the fridge and with all the amenities available such as heated water and internet capabilities from the TV it made for a magnificent retreat. Look forward to getting back again soon.

Amazing location and amenities. Cannot recommend this absolute hidden gem for a quiet weekend away or a place to retreat. The services provided are just perfect for what you're wanting for a getaway. The attention to detail is sublime and helps it feel homely rather than clinical or hotel-like. The personal touches make all the difference. If you don't stay here, you're missing out. Would be amazing for a honeymoon too.

Everything about our stay was perfect! Felt like we were in a fairy tale! So serene and beautiful. The outdoor bathtub was an added beautiful surprise!

We had the most wonderful stay at Aldgate Valley Bed & Breakfast. If you are looking for a tranquil, cosy retreat - this is the place! We stayed in Winter and the cottage was cosy with a wood fire or reverse cycle heating if needed, heated lights in the bathroom and plenty of hot water. The breakfast provisions were great - fresh locals breads, eggs, bacon, milk, juice and an assortment of tea and coffee. Vanessa was the perfect host, there if you needed her and quick to respond to emails, but definitely not ever intruding on our privacy. By far the best part of our stay was having a coffee or wine on the deck whilst enjoying the many birds who came to visit and the sound of the creek flowing below. We have already booked for our next stay. Thank you Vanessa, we look forward to our next visit in Spring!

Perfect in every way

The most idyllic serene garden setting with stream 3 metres from the cottage. We have never been so relaxed and reluctant to leave.

I have cleaned the bed and breakfast for Denise. She has made this little cabin a very cozy, warm, relaxing and immaculate place, for anybody wanting to just stay for a night or more. The Aldgate Valley Creek runs past the cabin, so you can sit out on the balcony, with a cuppa and also enjoy breaky either cooked by Denise or cooked yourself. Their is cereal provided. Denise provides her own free range eggs. Local made bread, bacon, juice, milk and arrangements of tea. Such a gorgeous place and surroundings for any one needing time out!!! Denise has even thought of the hair dryer for you ladies and robes to wear. There is a fire place to light, if needed or you can flick a switch for instant warmth. Electric blankets provided also. Great service, highly recommend!!!

If you need some self care and just to relax and have tranquility then this place is amazing. So much Wildlife and a beautiful creek running right at your back door. Vanessa is very welcoming and its just perfect.
