Japanese cuisine at its finest. The restaurant is located few kilometres from Stirling in a green and lovely spot. The food was authentic, delicious and well presented. The service was quick snd good. The staff were so professional and friendly. The sushi platters were the best. The decor, atmosphere and the food match in a beautiful way. The prices are reasonable. A must try restaurant for Japanese food lovers. Well done to the team. I will be back soon.

Nice little gem tucked away in sleepy Little Aldgate. Worth visiting if you’re in the area and have a desire for authentic Japanese cuisine. The wagyu beef tataki is to die for, absolutely loved the fried garlic pieces dressed on top. The gyoza dumplings are akin to my favourite dumpling joints in Tokyo. The chicken katsu is delicious but a bit light on the sauce. The restaurant is well appointed with nice decor and the staff are lovely. The menu is quite pricey though, a little too expensive for my liking

Unseasoned, unappetising and unappealing. Yuki in the hills came highly recommended from Google reviews and we had tall expectations, however upon finishing our meal we couldn't have been less impressed. Firstly the staff - not terrible, but forgetful and not particularly attentive. The service - expect to wait hours for food. We ordered two appetisers and two mains on a mildy busy night. We waited close to two hours for everything, but the real kicker was that our food was fast - gyoza, karage, ramen and tofu. Nothing that would take more than 10 minutes to make. Lastly the food - irredeemable. Karage was powdery, unseasoned and lacked any flavour at all. Gyoza were simultaneously oily with a filling that was an unpleasantly mealy and also lacked flavour. Tonkotsu ramen was spectacularly bad - broth had no flavour and zero seasoning, noodles were shop bought from frozen and awful. Teriyaki tofu tasted shop bought, steamed rice was dry and miso soup once again had absolutely no flavour. All in all, an experience I will never repeat and I truly hope that you've decided to eat elsewhere tonight. Thank me later.

What could have been a lovely night was spoild by the lack of ambience and the seating of people right outside the window, closer than what anyone would be comfortable with if they want to enjoy a relaxed dinner. Lighting was too bright, staff seemed to concentrate on friends rather than customers that booked weeks in advance. Service adhoc, chicken grisly & chewy, the only nice dish was the wagu roll. Would not recommend nor return.

A great Japanese restaurant in the Hills that serves one great dish after another! Packed, so make sure that you book ahead. Delicious food and great service with cold drinks makes this an awesome place!

It is an authentic Japanese restaurant located in the Hill about 30 mins drive from Adelaide CBD. The dishes were delicious with good presentation. The ingredients used are fresh. The sashimi is good. We also ordered the ramen. Not the best in Adelaide, the tastes could be stronger, but that ok, as I do consider this place is a ramen house anyway. As for the atmosphere, it is not a fine restaurant and the spaces are small, but I think the food is presented well. It is worth the drive and visiting the area around too. I will recommend this place.

We received a warm welcome from the staff. It was a cold and rainy spring evening and we came with our two pups. They were very accommodating, moved the heater next to us and gave the pups water and lots of pats. The oysters were fresh and tasty and the sauces paired well without overwhelming the original flavours. The 5-course omakase for two was great. We paired it with warm sake and quite enjoyed it. Crispy but not greasy tempera. Fresh sashimi. Refreshing desert when having it after the main. Fair price. A wonderful night.

Very friendly staff with good service. Food was ok, but not really high standard Japanese cuisine. Tempura combination was mainly vegetable with one or two prawns. Beef was tender, but a little bit too sweet. Good beer.

Went for a Sat lunch with my other half. Had our favourite - the Kingfish carpaccio. We ordered the Kingfish and tuna sashimi, chicken karaage and their spider roll (soft shell crab) as well. Just nice as lunch for the two of us. Service was not bad as well.

Enjoyed family birthday celebrations at Christmas. Congratulations the staff nailed it! Re Covid 19 restrictions. Well managed organised. We were flexable. Good communication skills. Calm. The food was fresh and tasty indeed. We will return. Thankyou.

Takoyaki was so flavourful and creamy! The tempura soft shell crab was crispy and seasoned lightly. The sashimi and sushi were so delicious and tasted fresh. It is pretty pricey here in this restaurant but at least, it tasted great. I highly recommend the sashimi set and takoyaki if you're planning to go there :)

We went to celebrate my birthday. In all we left happy, stinky, thursty. It's a bit noisy when it's full but if you like it, it's fine. Food really good but not heaps. Beer was disappointing only 1 beer on tape, Sapporo. But it was tasteless watery. The tap wasn't working properly. There is bottled beers though. Service is friendly but we had to ask to clean the chairs what was greasy and food all over. We also booked for 7 people, but we was squashed in for a 6 table. Anyway we wear happy bit there is a lot to improve. Your clothes will be oily and stinky.

Premium ingredients, excellent presentation and professional waitstaff in a beautiful location in SA. Must try when in Aldgate or within the area or just drive up the hills and you won’t regret.

Yuki in the Hills is the BEST sushi in Adelaide! The staff are always friendly and welcoming and quick to serve you. Words cannot describe the flavour, presentation, and freshness of ingredients! You have to try the monkey brain and mango tango roll! It is always a great time dining here.

It was a nice looking place. Japanese chefs working on sushi/sashimi in the middle of the restaurant with nice display around and a good view of the town clouded in forest. Sashimi came out and it was the biggest slices I've ever seen! I mean the biggest pieces were like 2cm thick! I recommend having smaller pieces to enjoy. To add, the sashimi didn't taste that fresh sadly and fishier than most places. The tempura combination was alright. At least the braised king fish was done well, can't say the dish was a good combo though because it just didn't feel like the flavours complimented each other. The monkey brain (yuki ball) was interesting and nice but a bit spicy. Overall, this place was alright in my opinion but the different dishes were more worth trying than the common dishes found in any Japanese restaurant.

I hopped in for lunch as I heard this is a good authentic Japanese restaurant. I could taste the ingredients were nice and fresh, although the style of cooking was pretty westernized. The place looked pretty short-staffed, but they were friendly and attentive. I ordered miso soup that cost $5.5, and hoped it would be homemade based on the price, but it was instant 😅 I would say here is still one of the better Japanese restaurants in Adelaide.

Best Japanese restaurant we've been to ever!! A little on the pricy side but for the quality of the produce and food it is well worth it. Definitely worth a visit if in area. Customer Service was excellent where wait staff were attentive and so happy to serve us and have a chat, even offer to take our photo. Chefs quietly worked hard in the kitchen and very respectful and kind to us when leaving. We will definitely be visiting when we are back in Adelaide again. Thank you for having us!

A pretty stock standard experience. We shared 2 meals - Katsu Chicken Curry, and the sweet soy beef. The meat was great but the stir fry veggies were bland, tasteless, and kinda pale? The cabbage was nice with the Katsu though. Might have to come back to try the sushi, but for now, not my fave.

I went to the restaurant beautiful Sunday afternoon with hubby and doggy. Outside tables were all full tho, staff was making other table for us. All staffs are friendly and good service. They have Japanese OMOTENASHI spirits. Food are very authentic and delicious. Just one little thing tho, wagyu tataki was coming last. Starter food should be served us first.

A good Japanese restaurant in Aldgate. We tried the takoyaki and chicken karaage. Both were cooked perfectly with the flavours locked in and the right amount of juiciness. Will definitely visit again.

The dishes were beautiful. Fine dining experience with affordable price. I’ll definitely recommend this. Great service. Even though they were so busy. The staff were attentive and we didn’t wait for too long for the food either. We made a booking for dinner on Saturday. I think you definitely need to book a table to come here on the busy nights.

Amazing food! Seasoned and cooked to perfection, no flavour dominated over another. We ordered spider roll and miso glazed duck, and honey yuzu tea. Current poultry supplier is halal certified. Best yuzu tea I've had. Book table before coming

Booked via Messenger, very easy and owners are responsive even with change requests out of their opening hours. They also have an online booking system. Would imagine calling would be the best option for instant response. Love the decor and interior, looks authentic! Matcha red bean cake is by far our favourite ❤️ sushi and sashimi are amazing. Soba noodles and combination katsu were great. Tonkatsu ramen is average. Definitely would recommend and will be back for future date nights!

Everything we had was beautiful. Their starter ‘monkey brain ‘ is absolutely top notch. One of my favorite Japanese restaurant in Adelaide. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes.

👍👍 This is a top little cafe/restaurant in Adgate in the Adelaide Hills. Parking is easy, and access to the cafe is a short walk from the carpark. Booking is made easy via the internet.
