I stopped in 7p on a Tuesday even with a group of co workers. The place wasn't too busy. The decor is very nice. The chips and salsa they on the table were excellent. I've never had fresher salsa. It looked and tasted like they had literally just finished making it. I had a chicken chimichanga Supreme with beans and rice. Several of my co workers had the Carne Asade plate, the meat was nearly as thick as a steak. All the food bright and colorful, plus it was all very authentic and tasted excellent. The prices were reasonable. The staff were polite and professional. We had a group of 10 and they handled our orders just fine. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in town

If I could give this place a 10 out of 5, I would. Absolutely hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life; and I eat a lot of Mexican food. My husband and I travel extensively across the United States and love checking out local cuisine. Braceros came highly recommended and I am so glad we stopped in. The service was outstanding; Joel took great care of us! The food was mind blowing delicious, the margaritas a perfect blend of not too sweet and not too sour. Be sure to upgrade your margarita to get the super cool take home terra cotta mug! I loved the unique food items you don't find at most "American" Mexican restaurants. I had the quail and it was expertly grilled and perfectly seasoned. The food isn't greasy, nor is it drowning in a cheap cheese sauce; all of the food stands perfectly on its own. We enjoyed our meal so much, that we came back two days later to try them out again. Anytime we find ourselves passing through Amarillo, we will make a stop to come to Braceros!

During our winter road trip from Houston to Colorado we stopped by this restaurant referred by friends. We had a very good time, excellent customer service, clean and neat location. We had a table of 9 but we’re served in a timely manner. We found a very nice guys who we think might be the owner may be manager who took the time to help us get there and find parking spaces. 100% recommended.

Stopped here on the way through Amarillo. Very glad we did! A little off the freeway, but in a nice area. Was pretty busy. Food was GREAT. Service wonderful. Seems to be a local Hotspot. Really wish it was closer to home. It would be our goto Mexican reataurant.

Food was delicious. We ate outside and it was nice. The only thing that bothered me was, the bad sewerage odor. In the waiting area. A little bleach, spray, or cleaning can clear that nasty smell. Just want to be honest about my review. Everything else was awesome!

Rudy our bartender was excellent! Perfect margaritas. The best queso! Beautiful restaurant. Really friendly staff! I wish we could have dinner here because the queso and the salsa were excellent. Fix the restroom odors.

We decided to check out this place while visiting Amarillo. We went in and asked to be seated outside. We were seated right away, and had excellent and friendly service throughout our dinner. Food was to die for and it didn't take long to be served. The grilled lamb "Vera Cruz plate" was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a chimichanga and tacos Al carbon. Portions were well served and we definitely order more then we could actually eat. I would be there all the time if we lived in the area.

I absolutely loved this place! A friend that lives in the area recommends this restaurant, and I'm glad they did. I grew up in Texas, so I know good Mexican food. This place reminds me of a restaurant growing up that is no longer in business in the valley. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The people in this town are awesome too. I met several teachers in the area there for dinner. I had a great time and will be back if I pass through again. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Go try for yourself! If anyone knows the teacher to my left in the picture tell her I think she is cute. 😁

Very nice lay back environment We sat at bar and lots of friendly staff as well as guest there. We are watching our carb intake and happy adjusted our dinner to fit our diet needs and everything was excellent. Ask for their green salsa which was delicious!

Great food for a great price, especially if you do one of their weekly specials which is half off original price. Waiter was super nice but host did not say one word to us and expected us to lead the conversation to be seated.

My husband and I stopped here on our way through Amarillo. After driving for eight hours we needed a beer and some good food. We got just what we needed. The salsa was truly the best I have ever tasted! The cheese rellano combo plate was yummy and the service was excellent! Seriously, some of the nicest people we met while in Texas!

Good portions without going overboard with the sauces. The salsa was authentic - not overtly dense and dripping sufficiently to warrant a personal bowl. The Tacos Camarones had U30 shrimps and it was spiked at the right level even for those who cannot tolerate the medium level. The Enchiladas Pescadores had minimal cheese making it delight the palate. The Chile Rellenos was satisfying in all respects. Would have preferred U15-U20 shrimps for this fish. The Guerrero used grilled red snapper with a shrimp and mushroom sauce over a bed of rice and adjacent salad - truly overwhelming in taste and quantity. The staff regularly checked on our needs. Can't say much about local patrons but if you're visiting Amarillo and need a taste of family style Tex-Mex you ought to give this place your patronage.

I went in and there did not seem to be any AC so I ordered take out as it was like a sauna. I ordered three things: 1. Quail, 2. Quesdilla, 3. Chile Verde fundido. They forgot the quail, and instead of Chile Verde I recieved Carne asada. Regardless the meat was good. I called and spoke to 2 people about the missing quail as I was already back on the road but she never called, nor refunded the price of the missing quail. Also the avocado and guac were way over ripe and tasted off. It's a bummer as I hoped to leave a stellar review as the people that work there seem very nice. I will not be back, nor recommend.

Stopped in for lunch with several colleagues on a Monday. They were decently busy but quickly accommodated for our table of 8. Service was quick and friendly and our waitress was attentive. I had the Plato Michoacano. It had standard Tex-Mex flavors. The dish was light enough to finish and satisfying enough to fill me for the day. Definitely a good vibe in the historic San Jacinto neighborhood. The salsa had a great flavor and the chips were crunchy.
