Temperature of the restaurant was quite cold!!!! Repeat visit with update. Service was great!! However, the dish we go for, corned beef, cabbage, and red potatoes, was mediocre. Cabbage was old and brown, obviously leftover. Potatoes were also old and brown. Our waitress graciously brought hubby fresh cooked cabbage and potatoes to add to his plate. The O’Hennessey chicken was very good!!

We absolutely loved Maggie O’Brien’s while attending a conference at Union Station Hotel. The food was amazing and everyone was super nice! Especially Kayla H., who gives great recommendations!! They play mad tunes and have sports all over the TV’s, too! Definitely worth checking out! 🍀

Maggie O’Brien’s has some great food! Some of the best smoked wings downtown! Now that the renovations are complete, they have a ton of high tops between the bars for people to hang out. It’s usually a big crowd when there’s a soccer game or a block party. I highly recommend trying the Gilly’s Irish bird sandwich if you like horseradish.

Sat at the bar. Ordered fish & chips with UK chips (fries). Order came out with US chips. Waitress happily and quickly replaced them. But the fish was god awful. Like fried too long maybe? Really dry. Waitress never came back to check on me. I waved someone down to pay my bill.

Wanted a cold beer and a warm meal after a long day of my daughter's dance competition at union station. No better place for some comfort food than an Irish pub. Maggie O'Brien's did not disappoint. The shepherds pie hit the spot and red velvet cake was amazing! Great selection of beers. Waiter was excellent as well! Very pleased!

We have a good time in this place. It is more of a sports bar than an Irish pub. The service was great and super friendly waiters and bartenders. I liked the Toasted ravioli (first time)

We were visiting for a long weekend and staying in a hotel nearby. I love any excuse to get some Irish food and my family was on board for once! I had the shepherd's pie and it was delicious and portion sizes were very generous.

Great place to have a beer and a burger. I had an Irish whiskey burger and it was amazing! Fries were good, thick but crunchy.

Classic American Midwest Irish pub. Great place for a Guinness. The hostess was odd, was mad at me for stepping in to the bar area before she authorized my entry. Waiter was amazing, very attentive and accommodating. Food and drinks cruised out. The pita and peppercini cheese is a pass. Ribeye was exceptional. Onion rings were good. Burger is ok.

This is a must visit! The staff were some of the most wonderful people I have ever come accross, I considered not name dropping Jerry for being such an awesome human simply because all 3 of the staff I spoke with were so amazing, yet I only caught Jerry's name. Minnesota claims "Minnesota nice" but that is nothing compared to "St Louis Nice", so thank you so much for taking such great care of us! On to the restaurant, toasted ravioli and Ruben rolls to start, kids loved both, adults each liked a different one as best but both good. Beer selection is large, biggest chocolate milk ever for the little guy. Everything was so massive and delicious everyone was stuffed, but in the end the Reuben was the right choice. We can't wait to come back to such a wonderful city just to get something to eat here!

We had a great experience at Maggie O'Brien's. The food was delicious and the staff was great. We never eat at the same restaurant twice while traveling, and we've come here two nights in a row. I had the O'Hennessy and a salad and I could have this meal every day!

Maggie O’Brien’s in downtown St. Louis is the classic Irish pub spot with a vibrant atmosphere. The recent remodel has added more space and big screens, enhancing the overall experience. The extensive menu offers delightful burgers, sandwiches, and salads, catering to diverse tastes. I haven’t been to Maggie O’Brien’s since I was in college. We used to go there for 50 Cent pitchers 🤯🥴 This iconic local hot spot has become synonymous with St. Louis sports, making it a go-to destination for sports enthusiasts. Boasting 75 high-res big screens, Maggie O’Brien’s ensures that every seat offers a perfect view. Located across from the new St. Louis CITY SC stadium adds to its allure.

Went here for lunch before an event at Enterprise Center. The food was delicious and loved the atmosphere. The service was so-so. It took forever to get a waiter to take our order. There seemed to be confusion over seating and who was taking what tables. Overall though, we liked this place. Would definitely go back

Still some of the best ribs I've ever had! All the food is great, and they have a nice assortment of beers. Haven't been there in years, but I go every time I am in St Louis. They have remodeled it since the last time I was there. Nice and clean. It's just west of Union station, and right across the street from the new soccer stadium. Also close to the baseball stadium and the hockey arena

Have to order the Ruben Rolls, best thing since the Ruben Sandwich itself. Wish they had more local bourbon though.

Maggie O'Brien's, a quintessential St. Louis tradition, is the ideal meeting place before (or after) a Cardinals game or any StL event. Their Reuben eggrolls are a standout, ranking as my favorite appetizer among many restaurants. This venue holds a special place as one of my all-time favorites.

We came here because it’s an Irish pub with Irish food and it got really good reviews. I was so disappointed. The place is beautiful and just remodeled and a lot of good beers on tap. Unfortunately, that’s all of the positives I could give. The food was ‘meh’. I had the Reuben (fighting Irish). Unfortunately I’ve had better Reuben’s at a bowling alley. I ordered the Irish potatoes as my side and got chips. My husband who ordered chips got fries. While disappointing, it’s still food. I was going to send it back, but then we didn’t see a single bartender at the bar for 15 minutes and by then the food was cold so I just decided to eat the fries so my husband could have the chips. We were done with our food and beers for a good 10 minutes before we saw a bartender to get a check. There were 4-5 bartenders on staff, but they weren’t paying attention at all. One of them was even just snacking on Doritos and a 32 ounce soda in the corner. Maybe they just had a bad day. Who knows.

Huge portion. This is a half slab meal for $15. Were not the best ribs I’ve ever had, but they were solid. Good sports bar and good beer selection.

Initial reactions were very friendly and inviting. My group was a large group of 10 and we understand that that can be much. The waitress was very kind and attentive all the way through our meal. Portions were small to say the least for those at our table who ordered chicken strips. The smallest piece of chicken strip was the size of a well below average French fry. Chicken was very over cooked as well. Pizza was low quality but was not horrible. Otherwise everything else for food was excellent. Especially the fries. However, our waitress made a comment that one of our group members heard on the way out that soured the mood. The comment mentioned the Math of a tip. For ten members with multiple checks one of us left a 15% tip done with quick math. Most of us use 15% as a benchmark in our group because many of us are former servers. However we know better than to complain about the tip when the customers are still around. If the tip seemed unfair a conversation could be had but not when there is immediate aggression by staff. On our way out our waitress complained to coworkers who were sitting by the window who pointed and made faces at our vehicles as we left. Yes you are reading that right. I work as a teacher and my students do not even do stuff like this. Service at the end hurt the experience drastically. Overall I think your experience would depend on when you go.

My family arrived rather late with our grandson after a game. We were allowed in because it was before 10 p.m. Although we hadn't been there in years, it was a pleasant surprise. Totally looked different. Very inviting atmosphere. Staffer gave my grand an ice cream. He was elated. Great later dinner experience.

The staff was really nice, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and the beer selection was pretty good. I honestly didn't care for the fish and chips though. The portion size was good but the flavor was pretty bland. I'll go back though. It's right across the street from Citypark so that's handy.

Last we celebrated my Auntie 70th Birthday Party. We rented Maggie O'Brien's banquet room. The atmosphere was perfect. The service was awesome. Thank you to the staff! You're greatly appreciated!

The ribs are over cooked, like, in a microwave. Not only do they not fall off the bone- you have to use all of your strength to pull them from the bone. The burgers come dry with nothing, no veggies. The service is awful. No water, no napkins, and because I went to the bar to get a water because my server just completely forgot we existed, he SCOLDED me for going to the bar and said something about it didn’t matter where I order because it’s all on the same ticket- um- I am aware of how dining at restaurants goes, didn’t need the bad attitude- but I guess they want the service to match the food. BAD AND SLOW.

This is a great place to visit for all meals. I was there for lunch. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. This was a celebration of my grandfather month and day of birth. I was in my feelings about the day earlier. So I gather two other person out to the restaurant and we had an awesome time. The meals were plentiful and delicious. The restaurant has a spectacular do over (newly decorated). I was amazed how the restaurant looked. I will invite more of my friends and family to attend. Thank you

The food here is absolutely delicious! It was hard to choose what to order but I tried the Gilly sandwich, which my waitress suggested and it was so good! The irish potatoes are a great side to pair with the sandwich. Kids menus are available too! Newly remodeled, there's something for everyone!

I’m giving 5 stars because the food was incredible and as a small business owner myself I understand that ratings can be important. But the service we received was far less than 1 star. At the time we came in to have dinner it was not very busy. We had to track down our (extremely rude) server several times just to get basic service and we were always met with an attitude. We sat and waited 25 minutes just for her to bring us our drinks (that we could see waiting in the drink window) and then we waited for what seemed like forever to be able to order. Our food sat under a heat lamp for too long (we did not feel like this hurt the quality, but we know how quickly that it can). Two of her co-workers had to track her down just so we could get our ticket that we asked twice for. Every time she walked out of the kitchen she was putting food in her mouth without washing her hands and then grabbing drinks (health code violation). She seemed to be more concerned about socializing with her co-workers than with her customers. I understand that food service jobs can be challenging, but this girl makes us never want to step inside this restaurant again. The rest of entire staff was friendly and welcoming.
