What a neat gem a short easy drive outside the city. Admission is well worth the experience and am happy to support a good cause. I recommend bringing binoculars and good walking shoes and enjoy the trails for some excellent bird watching. We even saw a beautiful falcon in the parking lot!

Wonderful place, people and of course birds. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Remember to donate, a lot of the staff is volunteering their time to provide resources for the birds. Including hospitaling those on the endangered list.

We came here for the first time on our 15th anniversary to get outside and do something in nature and it was absolutely fantastic! Over 30 different birds to look at. Plus some really great nature trails. Staff was fantastic as well! I think it was $8 for a person or $12 for a car.

We had driven past the entrance to the World Bird Sanctuary many times, on our way to Lone Elk Park. But, this was the first time we had paid the nominal entrance fee to visit. This is a place with a mission/purpose, and it's a good one. The exhibits are well laid out and the variety of birds is unexpected. One of the best features is the stories posted on the enclosures, how the bird got there...the circumstances, etc. We will be back in warmer weather, for sure.

Staff was as very kind. it was fun to walk around & learn about Birds. It would have been great if the seating area at the bird show had shade. The cement seating area was very hot to sit on at the bird show.

This place is absolutely amazing! The birds are absolutely beautiful! They were still doing some upgrades when I went there but it looked really cool when I went.

My wife bought me a guided tour of the outside bird area and then a hold a bird of prey. What a wonderful gift. Very nice place, lots of birds to see and interact with.

We were delivering my son's Eagle Scout project. 2 chairs we made for the founder, Walt Crawford's monument. We got to meet McGuire the Eagle who took time out of his busy day to pose for photos. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. So please, have a seat on behalf of Troup 319 and, soon to be, Eagle Scout David

The Owl Prowl is a wonderful program put on by the Wild Bird Sanctuary. Really learned a lot about owls and the Wild Bird Sanctuary. Highly recommend

All the staff members were really nice and helpful. All the facilities were clean/well-maintained. There were a lot more exhibits than I expected, and all the birds were content. I was surprised at the age of a few birds...I didn't think they lived that long. They're in a safe environment, so that makes sense. The cost of admission was good, and it was so peaceful...we'll definitely be back.

For only 8 dollars a car it's a fine addition to dates, road trips and days out. They have a variety of birds to view and even some rabbits. Also with I being attached to Lone Elk Park you can also go and see elk, bison, and geese. The scenery around the whole park is beautiful and you get fully immersed in the beauty of Missouri. Can wait for further additions. Definitely worth the money, and a little more for donation.

They are continuing to rebuild better inclosers for the bird. What a great way to spend the day.

They have good collection of birds ranging from cold Canada region to hotter Latin American region. It's not that great maintained bird century, but for st louis locals, it's surely a one time worth visiting. Entry fee is $8 per car parking. No separate tickets needed for individuals. You can pay by cash or card.

Well worth the $8 for parking. We visited here with our kids and stayed almost 2 hours. The show at the amphitheater was educational and super fun! We got to see several different birds and had a Harris hawk fly just over our heads. The row of enclosures near the hospital also had a variety of birds including a kookaburra, pelicans, bald eagles, emu, barn owls, and quite a few more. Definitely plan to stop in and support the awesome work done here if you are in the St Louis area or driving through!

Loved seeing the different types of birds. Wish they didn't have to be caged but they have been injured and can't live on their own. They are very well cared for and look great

Very cool sanctuary for many rare (Both in captivity and the wild) birds. The number of bird of prey species is very impressive.

Great place to see a variety of birds. I recommend you walk the paved trail and see all of the birds. It’s definitely worth it. Don’t forget to say hi to the rat in the visitors center.

Neat place if you want to see some unique birds and birds of prey you wouldn't normally get to see. My parents loved it when we took them there. Lone Elk is free to go through, the Bird Sanctuary is $8 a car.

My family really enjoys coming here. It’s very low stakes and easy to walk around see the beautiful variety of birds. The kids can run and play and explore. Love that they do events like the Harry Potter one in the fall which is my families personal favorite. Staff is always very friendly and courteous. And it’s usually not too busy which is always nice. My 3 year old loves coming here.

We did the raptor experience, and it was nice to see the owl up close. I recommend it if you want to see a raptor up close.

Great place for a short trip and kids love it! Went on weekend - $12 entry fee/car. Takes roughly around 1.5-2hrs to see all the birds. Nice birds - we loved the falcons, owls and eagles - great experience to view them so closely. The playground at the entry is nice. We ended up spending a lot of time inside watching birds and strolling around in the foliage. They also do have benches/shelter near the entry - where we had the tea/snacks break. The restrooms are well maintained.

I LOVE the world bird sanctuary, but unfortunately I noticed a few issues. The accessibility of this place is not where it needs to be, both my partner and I are disabled and when we visited there are a lot of unmarked steps, drop offs, and the accessibility trail to get down to the amphitheater was closed during the bird show which was unfortunate. I didn’t bring my service dog that particular day, but I’m sure there would’ve been issues with that as they apparently don’t allow service animals. That is illegal, just plain and simple. I absolutely adore the work they do, am always happy to pay for entry, and will always recommend them for people without disabilities to attend.

Great for families. $15 per car entrance. Kids playground, birds amphitheater, gift shop and more. Very educational and entertaining!

Great place to see these birds up close. Because of past injuries, they might not be able to survive in the wild however they are well cared for at the sanctuary. It was interesting to watch the birds 'hunt' their food that was delivered at about 3 pm. I'd definitely go again.

Place is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is amazing and helpful if you have any questions. During the show, the speakers are fairly interactive (as much as expected) and very informative and friendly. We did the bird holding experience with Jay. He is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and personalable. If you like birds, or just animals in general I highly recommend coming here. It was totally worth the 2.5 hr drive.

I love the world bird sanctuary! I've been going to see the amazing birds there since I was a child and now I take my two kids. The birds are incredible and the park is well maintained. Each bird has their name and background story on their enclosure which is really cool. I always find something super unique in the gift shop and I really like that some of the proceeds go towards maintaining the park. I highly recommend checking out the world bird sanctuary. They have really neat special events throughout the year as well.

Visited this space on a trip from Miami, Florida. The charge is by the carload and there’s plenty of free parking on the grounds. There are lots of signs about “do not,” other than that, we enjoyed the grounds loaded with many types of birds. The animals seem content, very well cared for, and the property is clean. There are fun shows at additional charge and was worth the cost. Bryan, the manager was at hand and answered my family and I questions about the birds, staff and the free bird houses displayed near the gift shop. This is a great place to spend the day and a great place to bring the family.

Wonderful place of real animal lovers doing exceptional rescue and education. Bringing binoculars was a great idea to see details of the birds. If you go early, around 9-10, you can see some if the birds eating too.
