Amazing hostel to stay at. It’s the perfect atmosphere for making new friends. Rooms are big and spacious, bathrooms are clean and there is AC. I was travelling solo and made lots of friends within 20 minutes of being there. The roof top is the best view of the city, would stay here again for sure. The surrounding area is a little dodgy but I walked it alone at night a couple times and had no problems but walk with friends if possible.

As nice of a time I had in the room, there are some major complaints that all guest must be aware of. First and foremost the location is not the safest. I had no problem walking during the day, but every taxi driver told me the area was unsafe, just be wary of your surroundings. Second, the room was nice with a nice balcony, but the TV and refrigerator were not working. TV could not turn on and the refrigerator had mold. Lastly, ALL customers must be aware that these people that run the hostel could care less about you and only want your money. I was notified Friday morning that I had to check of my room, but I made the scheduling to leave on Saturday. I notified the receptionist that this was a mistake on their part and that I would be happy to be charged the nights that were not charged to me. But even with the room I was in, she said there was nothing available and I was left without anywhere to go. She was giving me an attitude as if I didn't belong there because I hadn't payed up. She was very rude and uncalled for, for treaty me ugly because they made a mistake. Fortunately I found another hotel close by, but I had to go through a process that many would quite frankly not appreciate. Many of my friends and family members are coming to Greece Athens, this is not a Hostel I am recommend if the staff treats me so poorly. There are way better options and better locations than this place.

I had a great experience staying at this hostel. It is located in a very sketchy part of the city, so be aware of that. The air is musty and smells like death, the street hasn’t been kept in good shape. But the hostel itself is nice,l. I stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm room, the location I was in (bed 10) did not have a drape so I had some awkward moments with privacy. I enjoyed the lounge room, where I met really nice people there while playing chess. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they are quality people. I particularly had a fantastic time talking to Stella. She is so sweet, personable, and fun. She genuinely made my day, I would totally come back to this hostel for the reasonable price and the priority of an creating an experience for guests.

Not a bad hostel to stay for a night. Comfortable and really clean rooms. Staff is nice too. The hostel has a really nice rooftop, you can even see the Acropolis from up there. However the location can be a bit sketchy, the streets are smelly and people not really welcoming. There was always some kind of trouble with police having to be there. So if you’re gonna stay in this hostel, have that in mind. And then the noise... oh my god. Really noisy hostel with all that people partying and getting drunk. I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend it either. Unless you’re looking for a party hostel and meeting people.

I got a private room. Everything was good. Rooftop is amazing. The street in front and around is a little run down but, that’s how it is in this area. It was not dangerous at night or in the day. Just a little unpleasant seeing druggies. Just a block or two away is main streets/attractions.

I stayed in a single room for three nights and it was really nice. The room had everything I needed, including a very hot and plentiful shower, and it also got cleaned every day. The neighborhood is a little sketch but it's really convenient to many major sites and there's a lot of good and cheap restaurants. The breakfast is convenient and there's a nice lounge area to hang out in. People were friendly and not too loud (of course this was January). Would stay here again.

First off - If you are a solo female traveler DO NOT STAY HERE. This hostel is located in THE worst part of the city. I was in Mexico solo traveling and this feels MUCH much worse. The hostel itself is nice enough and I've solo traveled quite a few places with confidence but I don't have sheer stupidity or a death wish. I would not be caught dead walking by myself past dark by this hostel. Which made seeing Athens extremely limited- I had anxiety to make sure I was back before dark! Also I only chose this hostel because in photos there are privacy curtains- Well there are none! Looking into old reviews seems like they haven't had any for months! I was also paranoid for bed bugs because MANY old reviews from 2/3 months ago heavily mentioned them. I asked for a refund-none given. I decided to just leave early and forfeit what I paid. I chose a hostel with a better location.

Hostel was great and the staff even better. Fantastic vibe with other guests. The area is great for getting to places with ease however the neighbourhood specifically is ROUGH and super sketchy, if going out or coming back after dark its advised to do so in a group of 2 or more, particularly for women but that aside I would 100% stay here again. Airport is a pain to get to and from however so set aside an hour for that and €35

Location is close to things but the hostel itself is in a very unsafe area. Also the rooms - originally I booked a mixed room but I was put into a room with just guys. Luckily the reception staff were amazing and moved me straight away to a female only room. Made lots of friends and the rooms were clean and spacious. Towels were provided on requests. 20 minutes away from main attractions. Great breakfast provided for a cheap price! The only complaint was the room I was moved to , the door didn’t work. You could get in from outside with the key card but from the inside the door was jammed. It always took several attempts to open this door and after requesting someone to fix it, no one did anything. I checked out after my 2nd day and I booked a 3 night stay because the door was a fire hazard BUT loved my stay otherwise!

The hostel was super clean. I am a young female traveler and was nervous reading the reviews about the location but truly never felt unsafe. The AC in our room didn’t work all 5 nights I was there and it was never repaired. The hostel was super clean and comfortable besides that. The bartenders upstairs are a little rude and stand offish but the rooftop bar itself was so fun!

Close to the center. The street itself is a bit shady but not too bad if you are with a few people at night. The rooftopbar is a great place to meet other people and the overall vibe of the hostel was amazing. The breakfast is only €4, nothing special but you can get an easy start for your day there. There is also 24/7 service at the desk and they are really helpful towards any questions I had.

Great experience. The room was always clean and ample enough to house 8 people. The rooftop bar has reasonable prices and the bartenders are super nice. Psiri is a 5 minute walk away, making the location ideal for a pub crawl. Highly recommended.

This hostel would have a 5 star review from me if it weren’t for the area it was located. The location itself is a good location, close to the city center and pretty much every sight to see. I stayed here with two other girls and we didn’t always feel the safest when walking around outside. Other than that, the hostel was clean, the staff was kind, and the bar was fun! Overall, a great experience, I would just advise to be aware of your surroundings!

I highly recommend this hostel for all travelers. It was my first hostel experience, and I have to say I am very satisfied. The rooms were impeccably clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by the group energy that prevailed there. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking at night, and it was the perfect place to relax with friends after a long day of sightseeing. Some locals and people from other hostels come up to the terrace, which was great for meeting new people. But what impressed me the most was the warm welcome from the staff. They were very attentive to my needs and helped me overcome my culture shock by advising me on activities to do in the city. They even lent me a charger and a lock, which was a great help. However, it is important to note that I was informed that the neighborhood where the hostel is located is not considered the safest in the city. Therefore, I would not recommend going out alone at night. But overall, I had an excellent experience at the hostel and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Wow. I’m 18 so this was my first ever experience at a hostel and what a time it was. Firstly it was located in a spot which is really easily walkable to everything. The rooms were decent with a good bathroom. But mainly the vibe of the hostel (especially the rooftop bar) which really brings people together and I met some amazing people, which made the whole experience even better. Staff were also very helpful and kind. Thank you for such a great first experience.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are good for what you pay for. Comfy and have all necessary facilities. Appreciated the complementary shot haha! However, the air conditioners hardly work. Had to sleep with my shirt off. And while staff says they're going to fix it, it probably won't be fixed during the duration of your stay. And you will not receive any compensation for the inconvenience caused.

My hostel room experience was decent but I heard lots of bed bug stories whilst I was staying. Communal areas were really nice however the location of this hostel put me off going back, the area felt very unsafe. There was a great view from the rooftop bar though

The view from the rooftop is amazing. Reception staff is okay, breakfast staff were lovely and breakfast offer was extremely good. Location is great, I guess its based in an area with alot of middle eastern shops which I find pretty cool, alot of amazing herbs and spices. Felt a bit exposed in the dormitory room (no curtains), but showers were really good. Big common area, kitchen is small. Rooms has balconies and there is an elevator. Id say a cheap hostel considering the great rooftop and cheap but good breakfast.

Really good hostel. Facilities good and clean. Room had plenty of space, good natural light, good en-suite bathroom. Common area big, with pool-table 🤩 And the rooftop is the biggest highlight, nice views from the city and affordable drinks. Downside would be the location, but most of hostels and hotels are in this very same area. It's sketchy but not unsafe. Worth it, I would definitely go back!

I had a really enjoyable stay at this hostel! I am only marking it down because 1: there were no activities or any fun things for backpackers like in typical hostels. No theme nights or bar crawls or anything. 2: the location leaves something to be desired. You will be FINE on this road. It’s literally right off of the most popular road in the area, nothing is going to happen to you. It’s just grimy. But it’s located pretty central to everything and I was able to walk everywhere comfortably. Despite numerous shopkeepers along the road nearby, no one ever pestered me. So the people freaking out about the location in the other reviews are being dramatic. The amenities themselves were great. The staff were nice. And there’s the closest thing you’re going to get to room service at a hostel! And despite there not being any activities, the rooftop bar is still really fun and has a fabulous view of the acropolis and surrounding city. I would stay here again!

Absolute banging of a place. Service was great. Roof top bar is where it’s at. Great bartenders and cheap but good drinks. Had a blast and would come again in future. Would 10/10 recommend. Only thing to worry about is when the dorms are full and people get sick, most don’t take caution for others and contaminate it. Other than great spot. Great location.

Our stay at this Athens Hawks Hostel was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we had a warm and informative welcome, althought it was really early in the morning. The private room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. The location was perfect – within walking distance of a train station, and 2-3 stations from the major attractions, making our sightseeing adventures incredibly convenient. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast served each morning for only 5 euros! All tasted very fresh and was very much worth it. What truly stood out was the hostel's cool rooftop bar, offering breathtaking views of Athens. It became our go-to spot to unwind in the evenings, sipping cocktails and taking in the city lights. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Athens. This hostel exceeded our expectations in many ways, and we can't wait to return. Excellent cost-benefit and Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

Lovely hostel with very helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice big communal areas to get to know other travellers as well as affordable all you can eat breakfast that kept us full for hours of walking around monuments. As others have said the surrounding area can feel a bit unsafe if alone at night but otherwise good central location and walkable to pretty much everything of interest, the only time we got the metro was from the ferry and to the airport, all easily done from Monastiraki which is a close ish walk if you don't have too much luggage.

We came with a group of 30 people, which they had great accommodations for. The breakfast and rooftop bar were amazing! The contact with the staff went very easily and they were extremely helpful. The only downside was the location. It was close to the city centre which was great, but the street the hostel is in felt a bit unsafe at times. Overall, great hostel, would definitely recommend!

This Hostel is very nice for travelling as a student. The rooftop bar is a great place with a great view to hang out after a day of exploring the city, the rooms were clean and had curtains for each bed. The lockers were sizable enough for even my large backpack. The bathrooms are modern and clean, although the shower could use a curtain to prevent flooding in the bathroom when showering. There were two bathrooms for my ten bed room, which helped to eliminate bathroom queues you may encounter at other hostels. The location, while close to the city's famous attractions, can be intimidating for some due to some drug use on the street in front of the hostel. Try to avoid spending time in the immediate surroundings and watch your step for used needles. The mini markets offer a nice place to fill up on snacks and refreshments though. Overall I had a nice stay at this Hostel. It is a good value option when traveling on a budget while not cutting on comfort for lowering the price.

I think you will either love or hate the hostel depending on what you are looking for. If you are solo travelling and looking for a young and party ish atmosphere this is your place, the rooftop bar is really cool and I had a lot of fun. If you are not looking to party you definitely have better places to stay. The hostel was pretty centric - 10 min walking from the centre but the streets close to the hostel are very dirty and smelly.

This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. If you are travelling solo and likes to meet new people this is the place to go. The rooftop bar is just amazing. If you wanna go early to sleep and get a good nights sleep you should choose another place.

Great hostel, dicey area, but we had no problems. Good bar atmosphere on roof. Good common area room with couches etc. 10p mixed room was fine, 1 bathroom in room with another on the floor. Free baggage storage with lockers. The location of the hostel is in a foreign district, with many leering minority men. A female at night should get a taxi here, it's a dimly lit area covered in graffiti and a lot of trash. We had no trouble from anyone, as a couple. The hostel has a shuttle to/from airport for 15€. Had door security at night.

By the far the best hostel I've stayed in. The facility is incredibly clean at all times even with a very high amount of guests. The staff is awesome. The manager and owner are constantly there making sure everything is in order. Location was perfect. And the rooms are super cool. I would have paid double the price. Insanely undervalued. Highly recommend

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I’ve made really good friends in the most incredible bar I’ve been: their rooftop bar, DO NOT miss it. The rooms are very modern, clean and quiet. The common areas are very big and offer kitchen, breakfast, pool table. The hostel is in the heart of the city, so you have restaurants, bars and even the Acropolis just a few minutes away. Couldn’t recommend more!!!

Had a really good time here! Facilities were held clean and the view from the rooftop is fantastic. It's also very central to all major metro stations and tourist attractions. There is a really good vibe going on, people are young and open, it's very easy getting to know new friends and it feels safe as a female solo traveller. It would've been even better if they provided towels for free and I didn't like that they had sheets instead of blankets, but that is my personal preference. Thanks Athens Hawks Team!

Organized and professional hostel but still with a great common room and roof bar where you're bound to meet so many great travellers. I was travelling alone but easily made friends to spend every day with. Expect to spend a bit more than the nightly rate when staying here because getting a drink and catching up with other travellers on the roof bar is just so hard to resist :)

It was a great stay! The staff was very friendly and it was about a 30 minute walk to the acropolis. It was on a shadier side of town so I wouldn’t recommend going out at night but that’s perfect because they have a beautiful rooftop bar. The rooms were big and comfortable. My friends and I would stay again :)

Rooms are excellent. The bathroom was my favorite part because it was very modern. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked great! Even had a balcony! I had booked the single bed private room. Location is not great but the hostel itself felt very safe.A very short walk back to the main tourist/bustling areas.

Perfect location for everything we wanted to see! 5 minute walk from shopping, restaurants and the beautiful views of the Acropolis! My two friends and myself had a private room, so felt like we were staying in a hotel, and of course can't forget the beautiful rooftop bar. Overall we loved our stay

Had a great stay here with my group. We helpful service and a very clean and private feeling room. The shared spaces were great, and the rooftop bar made for a very social environment with all the other friendly travelers. All in all a great experience, only negative was that the hostel is not in the best part of the city and there was some riff raff in the neighborhood, but nothing to deter us from staying there. Absolutely fantastic hostel. I stayed in a mixed room and it was my first time traveling solo so I was a bit worried as a girl in a mixed room but it was such a respectful and safe environment. The memories I made there were absolutely amazing and the hostel and especially bathrooms were always super clean. Regarding the area at first I was also a bit sketched out as it’s not the cleanest but had no bad experiences at all walking around alone at night and during the day. Within a few minutes in the right direction you are in the life of the city!

Overall hostel, clean and comfortable rooms. The private double room was bigger than we are used to for hostels so we were pleasantly surprised. Rooftop bar is a really nice spot to hang out! Surrounding area isn't the nicest however its a pretty quick walk to downtown Athens.

Rooms were clean, had everything you would need (lockers, hairdryer etc). Staff at the bar and reception desk were very friendly and always keen to help. The rooftop bar was definitely the highlight of the hostel and it had stunning views and I met some amazing people at my stay. Only problems I’d say were, no curtains on the bunk beds and while the location of the hostel was very central, the area was a little run down and I wouldn’t feel safe walking round alone

Scam-y. I paid extra for an 8 person room and were given a 10 person room. when i talked to the front desk they told me that the volunteers staying in the room did not count (unsure how that works). i asked other people in the room and everyone paid extra for an 8 person room. it ended up costing $42 a night which was a considerable amount! the beds and lockers worked but the whole thing looked very industrial and unwelcoming. the bathrooms were fine but the sinks were often clogged with vomit (party hostel). breakfast was $5 and there weren’t many options. neighborhood is fine (got a few stares and comments but nothing crazy). about a 25 min walk to most attractions. the bar had a great view and was very social! only downside was the pricing of drinks which was pretty high. the actual guests tended to be social and welcoming. the shuttle service is a big plus ($15 to or from the airport, taxis are about $42). rooms were clean. overall very mediocre but not worth the high price point.

Room was very spacious and comfy. Some beds randomly in middle of room but not much of an issue. Walking distance to main attractions which is ideal but street currently under construction so is a little rank. Rooftop bar is amazing and encourages fantastic social vibes!

5 euros to use the pool table, 1 euro to weight your suitcase, 10 euro for an extra keycard even though you are a group of 3 people paying for three beds. A Hostel should offer these services for free... Adding to these.flaws, the cleaning in the rooms wasn't great at all. On the good side, the rooftop bar is great. Overall, too expensive for what it truly is

Amazing time at this hostel, honestly staff was super helpful and the rooms and facilities were super clean. On top of it the rooftop is awesome and you will be super close from the city center. Highly recommend it

Very cost efficient hostel in a central location. Everything is as expected - clean and functional. The surrounding, contrary to a few reviews, is not sketchy or shady, but if you are not well traveled or not comfortable with more local scenes, perhaps you get concerned, but I had no issues at all. For a hostel, it is definitely quite good, but somehow I missed a bit of the flare or something unique that I have experienced in other hostels. All in all, I can recommend :)

Super clean place, friendly staff, and fun rooftop bar. Im so happy I chose this hostel and will definitely be back! Conveniently located very close to the metro and many places to eat. Also, they have a yummy breakfast for only €4 every morning in the common area.

BED BUGS !! The hostel itself was great - clean modern bathrooms, a nice communal area and a great fun rooftop bar. Even the location was not too bad. However, we had bed bugs, got bitten terribly and the hostel did not deal with it well. They were too ‘busy’ to wash all our clothes and refused to offer financial compensation.

The hostel is as good as they get; social, fun, clean and easy to reach. I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly and welcoming, breakfast was cheap and good. The location is not optimal. It feels a bit weird having the police around all the time. Its not unsafe but just not really relaxed walking around at night. I would recommend staying on the larger streets. Another thing: we slept on the 8th floor, directly under the rooftop bar. We had some troubles with the noise.

Everything was great, the room with double bed was so huge, we really appreciated. Nice staff, excellent breakfast, good atmosphere. The only thing is the area of the hotel which is a bit dirty by still safe.

Solid hostel for a solid price, staff were all super friendly and helpful (and fun to drink with) and it's a great place to meet travellers and socialise. Just as a cautionary note I got sick the night I stayed there which was probably because my diet was mostly cheese and alcohol and I was in contact with a lot of people, but I suspect it was because there was mold in the air-conditioning which I left on during the night and the bathroom smelled a bit moldy - I didn't check so my rating doesn't take that into account, just thought I'd mention it.

The best hostel I've stayed at. There is a party literally every night at the bar. You obviously have to pay for your own drinks as it is not covered but considering how cheap it is and near the city centre, it is a bargain. It is very safe and the crowd is also amazing!

Lovely experience at the Athens Hawks Hostel. Super atmosphere and friendly common spaces Bar and rooftop (amazing view from the rooftop, it's a pity it was too cold to open the rooftop bar, I guess the experience is way better in summer time). The area is very central, not the best street though. However, you're at 5-10 minutes walk to the city centre, the bars, the restorants and Monastiraki square !!! I will definitely come back to this hostel next time in Greece!

A very nice hostel to stay in, staff so polite and helpful, made my stay so much more pleasant. A nice self service breakfast for only 4 euros which helped kick start the day. Metro less then a 5 minute walk away. The area would seem a bit of a lower end of the city, but all the people were good and not threatening in any way. I would definitely return to this hostel and area..

Really enjoyed the hostel. Was only meant to stay a few days and spent over a week there. Feel like the reception could recommend more day trips etc but overall really good hostel

Really fun hostel with great friendly staff and a bar with good atmosphere, pool table and beer pong. Make sure you check out the rooftop bar which has great views of the acropolis. Area is not that bad it's just a big immigrant area, but you can get great South Asian food around there.

Wow for the price this place is pretty great. The neighbourhood is colourful... But I was pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. The rooftop bar was cool but I'm pretty sure the bartender was a covid denier, so watch out for that.

This is a great hostel, but the area is not great at all. Someone from the hostel was robbed on the way back in the night. Centre is closer, but you can find hostels for similar prices in better areas. The rooftop bar was not open, but the view from the roof is beautiful. There were weird noices coming from the corridor during the night.

The location is great, a neighborhood full of Life. I strongly recommend the breakfast. Private WC in rooms, good idea.

Super Hostal. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Clean and spacious rooms with balcony. Close to all attractions. Definitely book again. Love the roof terrace bar and the bar tender. Fantastic atmosphere.

I am from Australia with a greek background and have stayed in multiple hostels around Athens, and this is the absolute best one by far. Very very clean with like new showers and everything is new and well looked after. The roof top bar is amazing where people play beer pong and when it's cold or raining the bar on level one is great which is a massive common area with a pool table. There is always something to do and always someone to talk to it's a great social hostel where everyone has a good time. All the staff are amazing

The stay was fantastic! The rooms are very nice and clean. The rooftop bar is fun and they have plenty of useful amenities like laundry service, WiFi and more.

I cannot recommend this hostel enough for a young solo/friends traveller in Athens. The staff and other guests were super friendly and the atmosphere was also great! So I've met really cool people while staying there in the two days of staying there. Location was also spot-on, less than 10 minutes walk from the main city centre.

Best rooftop ever!! Very good to socialize if you’re a solo traveler! I stayed for 3 days in a mixed dorm for 8 people. It was amazing! The rooms were very clean and the beds are good. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms for 8 people. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy so would not recommend walking alone in the night for a girl. But when you go out there’re enough people to join you in the hostel so it’s fine! Within 2 minutes walk you are in the middle of a nice area with restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend it!!

Athens Hawks Hostel is a great place to stay in the city. I was a solo female traveler and felt that it was a safe and welcoming hostel. The staff is very accommodating and was even able to get me a room last minute after I messed up my reservation. The upstairs bar is nice (and you get a free shot voucher at check-in :)) and there is a gorgeous view of the Parthenon lit up at night. The 4euro breakfast is more generous than most budget hostels - coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs, bread, spreads, cheeses and cold meats, Greek salad, etc.. Would I stay there again? Yes, and I will be before I fly out at the end of my travels.

Some earlier reviews had concerns about the area and I agree, during the day it was nothing but a little run down but later at night I was glad my boyfriend was there Otherwise a great place to stay

We really loved this cozy and friendly place. Reception staff are excellent, they are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and neat. Bathroom has best hot water supply which you really appreciate in winter. Thank you so much for giving us a comfortable stay. Definitely will recommend to anyone.

If you’re looking for a hostel in Athens you need to stay here! We were a group of 5 females and felt safe, met a bunch of fellow travelers, and had an amazing time. It was slightly uncomfortable walking the nearby streets at night, but in a group or during the day you should be fine. The staff were super helpful and kind, the rooms felt like individual hotel rooms, and everything was super clean. The rooftop made our trip, amazing views, good drinks, and fun music till the late hours!

This hostel is amazing. Rooms and toilets are always clean, the common space area at floor1 is really cool. The view you get at the rooftop is simply amazing. The hostel is in the best location as you can just walk to the acropolis or to the park. I have met amazing people from all around the world during my stay there and I can just recommend this hostel especially if you’re a backpacker. Thank you!

The hostel itself is quite nice, but the place must be seriously considered. Nobody at the reception didn't tell me to watch out, and because of that I got mugged just around the corner of hostel. Stay safe, people 🥺

Central location but I wouldn't feel comfortable to walk around in the area at night. Our room was good, the bathroom was nice. Kitchen was a little bit dirty and the beer was way too expensive at the bar (4€). But all in one it was a good experience.

The place, staff, breakfast were amazing. The location is good in terms of how to get to tourist areas. Even though nothing happened to me, I didn't feel the area safe. People looking to me, streets dirty and at night might be not that friendly.

Amazing location on budget. Super friendly people with an amazing rooftop view. Safe for solo female travellers. Recommended for students. Room price was really cheap but the stay was pleasant. Hope to visit again.

Central location, excellent staff: friendly and super helpful. The atmosphere is very friendly and thanks to the bar and the common room you have the opportunity to meet many people. The shared room of 8 where I slept had two bathrooms and was super clean. I super recommend it

Very nice staff and very close to the city center, nice brunch spots and all the main attractions. I can recommend staying there. One street next to the hostel seems a bit sketchy, but if you walk 1 minute you are already on the main Street. We were a girls group and were totally fine.

Felt like I was in a hotel and not a hostel. We got a shared room and then eventually a private room. Shared rooms didn’t have much privacy as they were literally just bunk beds but we didn’t mind. The private room we had all to ourselves and it was so nice! Shared and private rooms all had their own bathrooms. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Only downside was the area the hostel was at but still a very central and easy to get to area.

I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights. It was good, reception are friendly and the services are good. Clean bathrooms and dorms. The only thing I didn’t like is the location.

Really good location - everything is really close by hostel - you can handle almost everything without using public transport. Room are very clean and quit. The rooftop bar was amazing ( at winter time is closed, but we could use the rooftop for NYE fireworks - you can see all Athens from this place). Reception is always open, and all receptionists are really nice and helpfull. The breakfast was average. There is just one thing which I have to mentioned as a negative. Hostel organized NYE dinner event, which cost 20Eur per person. The dinner started at 10 pm without specific end. Suprisingly for everybody, they close it at 3 a.m. (not just bar, whole public space for hostel people, which is normally open 24/7) and the behavour of Hostel manager wasn't really nice. Also the food was not really good for this price. This event wasn't worth it for this money.

It’s really good hostel to explore Athens and most historical places. It’s clean and customer service is second to none. It’s my second stay at this hostel. I highly would recommend Athens Hawks hostel and Definitely I would stay again .

Good Hostel, Good experience and overall vibe. The bar and terrace is great. Beds are good too. However, the sorrounding streets are a bit shady, but the location is still great. Everything is close.

We stayed in a twin room that was equipped as a 4-star hotel would be. Everything was super clean, reception staff were welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was superb. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean room and toilet, they changed bedsheets and toilet consumables every night. Really good price. It has an awesome rooftop with great views. Thanks a lot!

Really great place to stay if you’re looking for a cheap hostel in the centre of Athens and if you want to meet other travellers. The immediate area isn’t the best but it’s a close walk to everywhere you’d want to visit. The inside of the hostel is really nice. There’s a hostel bar and an awesome rooftop too. The staff is really what makes it. The person at reception gave me great food recommendations (Thanasis is amazing for gyros). The bartender working that night, Elena, was amazing to all the guests and I enjoyed practicing Spanish with her. I recommend this place if you’re a traveller on a budget looking to meet people from all over the world.

I was there for a week, it's a pretty nice and clean hostel. The room was big and the beds comfy, we had a 2 bed room not one of the shared dorm rooms. There's also a breakfast buffet every morning which is good for the price. There's a shared kitchen and big living room and a rooftop bar with a nice view at the acropolis. The staff is friendly and helpful all the time. But be aware that the part of Athens where the hostel is located isn't the best part of Athens. But other than that I enjoyed my stay in Athens Hawks.

Honestly a really great Hostel to stay in while in Athens! Helpful staff and a really maintained building. Each room has an outlet where you are able to charge your items as well as curtains for privacy on each bed. Their is also a private light in each bed as well and the people staying their are really respectful as well. Great experience!!

I really enjoyed my experience here. I booked a private room, it is simple and provides exactly what you need as you don't need to spent much time in your room. It was very clean and comfortable. The receptionists are helpful and very friendly. The rooftop bar provides an amazing chance to experience an amazing evening view of the acropolis that is light up while also interacting with everyone else staying there. The street the hostel is on doesn't look very appealing, so I would recommend if you do walk outside stay in pairs.
