Nice looking hotel but wouldn't not stay there again! Cancelled my room with a jacuzzi as I landed on Athens. Said they'll sort something out, they didn't! I had to ask and even offered to pay more for a room with a jacuzzi and still did nothing. Extended my stay in Athens by 2 days, asked if they would do anything to compensate me for the cancellation with the 2 extended days I was booking, they charged me more!!! Also the superior rooms that we were given were the same size as a standard travel lodge! And what really didn't help was being put on the side of the hotel where the bar stays open until 5am! Rooftop pool always so busy. And unless you know one of the staff or tip them (I assume) they won't get you a sun bed / day bed. Shame as it looked so nice online. My first ever bad review. I wouldn't book here again! Or recommend.

while the location of the hotel is great with it being super close to the public transportation, if you are looking for a comfortable room i do not think this is the hotel for you. the shower pressure is great but the temperature is inconsistent and will spike from cold to hot often. small room, small bathroom, bent bathroom fixtures, minimal storage, and an air conditioner that absolutely does not work. keeping the patio door open to try and alleviate the heat is tough as well as the unit circulating the air shuts off because of a sensor on the door. completely understandable, but unfortunate when you need airflow to bring in the colder air from outside. rooftop is just as gorgeous as everyone says and the bar/restaurant is decent for the price. great signature drinks and the staff was fine. breakfast buffet is as bad as everyone says it is in the reviews. just don’t do it. the area around the hotel is fine, just mind your business and keep moving to your destinations. it is not unsafe, just not well maintained which is no fault of the hotel. if you’re here for sight seeing and don’t spend your days in your room, perfectly fine hotel. if you can deal with sleeping hot, also perfectly fine hotel. if you sleep with the balcony door open, the trash pickup seems to be at about 5-6am and you might get woken up by that. plan accordingly !

Excellent staff, great rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. Some rooms face the square and you can hear then traffic and the breakfast is scary: too many people, too little space and half of them is not wearing masks. But I would definitely go there again, I will just get breakfast elsewhere

Hotel with buffet breakfast, pool, gym and great views of Athens. The rooms were spacious and we were upgraded to one with a balcony free of charge. Complimentary toiletries and slippers were provided. The breakfast had lots of choice, but the hot food left a lot to be desired. However, The Cloud 9 restaurant's food was delicious. There are also a couple of other really nice restaurants near by - check out my other reviews. The main negative for me was that the rooms were not at all sound proof and the noise from the rooms next door and people in the corridor kept us awake.

Brilliant hotel. Our stay there was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were large, the beds were comfortable. The pool was stunning as it’s on their rooftop along with their bar and restaurant. The views were great from up there. We had breakfast every morning and it was very good. They had a huge selection. Two nights we had dinner there too and the views were stunning. Service was excellent too while prices were very reasonable. I would go there again!

First night of two... Room is clean and decent size, not too small, but not big - smaller than what I am accustomed to. The bathroom/shower is definitely tiny. HOWEVER... the view from the pool area is great - you have a clear view of the city, including an unobstructed sight of the Acropolis. Also... the restaurant serves excellent main dishes at a reasonable price. Prawn linguine is amazing as well as their grilled beef fillet. Did not try their bar but it appeared very elegant.

This hotel is lovely and I’ve stayed here twice. The staff is really kind and helpful. The rooftop pool is beautiful with great service. Great breakfast buffet. Lots of taxis in the area to get around town too. The only thing was the bathroom in the room I was staying in reeked so terribly. I couldn’t stay in there for more than one minute without feeling grossed out and if I left the door open the whole room and hallway would smell like it. It smelt horrible. If you stay here, don’t stay in room 318.

Solid hotel option if visiting Athens for a short stay, we were there two nights. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel provides easy access to metro transport. Has a pretty cool rooftop pool and bar with great views (although if the weather is good it can get pretty crowded). Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. You'll definitely hear some of the city sounds via the traffic circle below, but if you've been walking all day and are sufficiently tired it shouldn't be enough to keep you awake.

It's a really nice hotel with excellent amenities including a really nice rooftop bar and restaurant, rooftop pool, decent gym, sauna, and massages. And the price is great for the quality! Also, subway station is a 1 minute walk out the front door. You can hop on and go 4 stops to the doorstep of the Acropolis for a very small fee.

Hotel is located in the city centre and train station is just round the corner. Amenities within the hotel is good, room is spacious on level 4. Level 2 is smaller. However the shower area is really tiny. Breakfast serving has lots of varieties but almost similar food daily. Overall experience is still great.

A great hotel experience, we spent 4 days here for our anniversary and we had the best experience and service from the staff. My best bits: The rooftop pool and restaurant with distant views of the acropolis and all of Athens, and the food! We highly recommend these guys. Close proximity to the centre, tour buses literally around the corner of the hotel. A 4 star hotel with a 5 star experience.

Very nice hotel located near Athens city center, with a metro stopping just outside of it, and nice restaurants nearby as well. The staff were always friendly and helpful, my room was cleaned everyday, and the rooftop bar has an amazing view to the Parthenon (even better at night). Another good thing is that the hotel is located in one of the biggest squares in Athens, so hop on - hop off and tour buses also stops near it.

Great stay. Great location. Excellent service. The rooms were fantastic. The lobby and public areas are a little tired but that is fine. Breakfast was fine. Not great for people watching carbs (not me!!) but good. We would come back.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights! The hotel was absolutely excellent, centrally located, very clean and well maintained. The rooms and roof top pool were great. The staff were super amazing! Thank you John to you and your great team who made our stay a beautiful and memorable one. The check in and check out were a smooth process. Each of them did their part to make sure everything was comfortable and great for us. we were so happy that we chose this hotel as it covered all the aspects for a great trip! The staff were always eager to help with everything we wanted. they were very knowledgeable , courteous, kind, trust worthy and we are so happy that we chose this hotel for our stay. We totally recommend this hotel for your stay .

We had a great stay at The Stanley hotel. Lovely comfortable room and facilities. The roof top bar and restaurant was awesome. Fantastic food and drinks. Lovely place to enjoy the sunset and chill out around the pool. The staff were kind enough to deliver an amazing chocolate cake for my partners 40th - made the memories extra special. Thank you to all the team.

We loved this place. We stayed in the newly renovated rooms in the Stanley, which are just great. They also have a great roof top terrace and pool. Staff are friendly and attentive. We also loved the Cloud9 restaurant and had dinner there twice. Great food, lovely cocktails and fantastic desserts.

A fantastic hotel in Athens! Rooms basic but very clean! Balcony with table and chairs would be nice! Service at hotel very good and staff answered all our queries as best as they could! Sometimes limited English but better than our Greek. Breakfast was really good with a lot of hot and cold options (I loved the spinach pie)! The highlight of this hotel however, is the rooftop swimming pool which is heated! A lovely place to relax after sightseeing and brilliant for kids!! The only downside to the Stanley is it is located in a poor area of the city and may be unsafe at night although we did not experience this. Tip 1: The Ikarus taxi company associated with Stanley are very reasonable. We even rang them when we couldn't get a taxi back from the beach. They came straight away and didn't try to rip us off! Tip 2: Cafe Sol private beach is just next to Bolivar Beach Club and a great alternative! We spent the whole there paying 7 Euros per person for a combination of loungers and parasols. Would definitely recommend Stanley hotel for a stay in Athens!!

Great, clean, sleek hotel in Athens. 10 minutes to Acropolis via metro. Nice pool area and good staff. The ONLY issue that we had was construction directly above us each morning at 8am. This was our first hotel after flying from the US. We stayed 3 nights. It was very loud and we were not warned. I asked about stopping it, of course, unable. The hotel did give us a meal at the hotel restaurant. That was nice. However, I don’t feel that was adequate for the price we paid for the room and subsequent noise while we’re still trying to sleep. If we would have known about the construction, we would have either gone another direction or prepared differently. Otherwise this would be 5* from me.

Ideally located for the metro, tram and local buses. The hop on, hop off bus also stops right outside the hotel as well. Views of the Acropolis. Not far from the city centre, hop on, hop off can be used to get to the beach and lake very easily. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. The pool bar and restaurant were really nice and the views were amazing. Denise in the restaurant was really helpful when we were booking a reservation for dinner and ensured we had a great table despite the rain. The rooms were nice, bed were really comfortable and beyond all they were really clean and all items including water and toiletries were replaced once used. Breakfast was served between 5 and 11 and whilst it was busy at times we were always able to get a table. Nice mix of food including a hot breakfast and fresh fruits. Only down side is that the walls to the rooms are really thin. All that could be heard all night was people talking and doors closing. The hallways echo all noise. No fault of the people using the hallways just poorly designed. After day 2 I got used to it.

Enjoyed my stay overall but this was mainly due to the good restaurants nearby. Frosty welcome from receptionists (picked up on by both my partner and I,) room that looks nothing like the pictures- this was particularly disappointing considering the mid-level price- and the rooftop pool and general area was too busy to use every time we went up. Breakfast, however, was fantastic - a vast array of good quality options.

We stayed in the recently renovated Junior suite. The room was clean spacious, beds comfortable etc. Small issue with the Jacuzzi and they changed our rooms asap. The heated pool, pool bar makes this place a winner. To be able to swim outside in the middle of December is quite something. The service has been great. The breakfast selection is small but well made and fresh, so far better than having too much selection and average tasting food.

Great hotel, nice filling breakfast to start your day. The rooms are clean and pool area is nice. Pool area can be full during peak times so you might need to wait to get some loungers.

Roof top pool warm, food tasty, Good overall service. Restaurant and pool layout really nice and spacious. Really enjoyed my overnight stay. Complimentary water, wine and beer in the room was a lovely welcome. Would definitely recommend and return. The TV on the wall was small and wonky.

We had such an amazing experience at the Stanley. Nicest receptionists and best service I’ve ever received at a hotel, on top of beautiful room accommodations and breathtaking views of the Parthenon and cityscape from both the rooftop pool bar and our room’s balcony. We had left the hotel to visit an island for a few days, and I had left my passport and money accidentally behind in our room’s safe. The Stanley kept my items protected for me and relieved my worries for the rest of the vacation- we were lucky enough to have already booked a final night there before departing Athens, and they had my things ready for me at the desk upon check-in. I will never forget this experience and will recommend the Stanley to anyone planning to visit. Thank you Stanley Hotel!

Very good location, just a few stations from the Akropolis. The staff was really friendly and nice with me and my friends. The breakfast was good, there are two different menus. Clean room, but the bathroom and furniture overall seemed a bit dated.

Really liked the place. The pool was nice, not very big, but in the heat refreshing. Breakfast had many options to choose from. We stayed there one night and we were very happy about the hotel. They let us check in earlier that its written, and they let us leave our bags at their storage room even after we checkout. All the staff members that we encountered were very nice. The hop on hop off bus station is almost right in front of the entrance. We loved the view from the pool in the evening. And there is a nice bakery downstairs on the other side of hotel. The only thing is that the location is maybe a little bit shady, or we just walked to the hotel in not such a nice neighborhood.

The hotel is located in the center of the city. The geographical location is very good. It is convenient to go everywhere. The night view of the top floor restaurant look up to the whole urban area and see the ancient city and temple at night. The food in the restaurant is delicious.

This is a great hotel, the room was a bit tight and had no view but was suitable for us and had air-conditioning. The pool area is spectacular with a clear view of the acropolis. The pool was not heated which is difficult in October but I'm sure it is perfect for the high temperature summer months. The location is ok but some of the side streets had some very rundown buildings and attracted the wrong people as a result. But lots of taxi spots and I recommend you ask the taxi to use the taxi meter once you get in so you are not subject to the random prices which are usually a lot more than the meter.

Great hotel as rooms were clean, good size and shower was good (towels could have been better though). Complementary small bottle of wine and 2 beers provided on first night. Location was great as next to a metro station. Breakfast had a huge selection of food - we had ours on the 9th floor so sat outside with amazing views. Rooftop area was a big bonus and the restaurant had good food and ambiance. Staff were very friendly and special mention goes to Katerina who served us and made great recommendations!

Superb hotel! The inside is very nice, there are always receptionists at your disposal for any problem that might appear (they even printed some documents for me). The room was nice, comfortable and met every need we had. The toiletries were changed every day as we used them and the room was sparkling clean every day. The pool is amazing! Not too big, but it has jacuzzi spots and they offer pool towels (for little cost). The breakfast was amazing: we could choose from a very wide variety of meals: eggs, cereals, freshly baked stuff and fruits, different morning beverages that met any taste. The metro is 2 minutes from the entry and is a good way to get around. There are good restaurants nearby, including the one on top of the hotel. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is not very clean.

Very nice hotel. We were upgraded to superior room for free. Has a very nice pool at the top with amazing views all around. Breakfast varied and nice. Close to Metaxorgeou metro station. The main busy areas are a walk away Some issues : We were in December... Both the room and the seating in the breakfast room at floor 9 had a problem of being too hot. At breakfast, they shouldn't assume that everyone will come with or can be with short sleeves (in December)... T breakfast was sun coming inside and kind of heating us more . Maybe some curtains could help. Orange juice doesn't have a good taste. I know it's not fresh. But maybe better choose a different brand.

I was there once, I was enjoying this hotel very much, the service was decent, there is also a pool and gym where you can train the gym was pretty well stocked I could easily train boxing cause' of the space in it. Pool is also pretty big but a bit too shallow, the views were very nice I saw Acropolis there. The area was a little poor but I wasn't complaining the drivers in taxis were very nice and understanding the scooter drivers. Overally the Athens were very good place like the hotel 🏨 I can recommend this place to most of people. :)

Fantastic hotel, attentive, friendly staff, knockout food from the Cloud 9 restaurant on the top and probably the best view of the whole of Athens. Not expensive either. Nothing was too much trouble.

Awesome place! The Stanley Hotel exceeded all our expectations. Staff is super friendly, rooms are clean and roof garden is great with incredible views over Athens. You can watch sunset from the pool. Also the restaurant serves amazingly delicious food. And the panorama view is spectacular. Staff is super competent. Definitely worth a visit again!

Really enjoyed our stay at The Stanley. The staff were all very friendly, rooms were cleaned and water was replenished each day. It’s in a great location - you can reach all of the sights within a 15 minute walk.

Hotel was clean & staff very helpful. The atmosphere seemed to be for a bit of a preening culture. Shower is small, one if those curtains that stick to you. Not the hotels fault, but the surrounding area was not so nice, loud music from a club directly opposite, plus rough sleepers. My tip would be to use the metro, very easy to use, & gets you where you need to go, taxis get expensive & they tend to rip you off

This hotel is awful! As I'm writing this review I been here not even 48 hours and I want to leave already. My first night here I had hung a DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door that morning before I went out for the day. Upon my return I noticed the tag was removed and someone had entered my room, they didn't clean it because my belongings and trash were still in the same place as i left them. I reported this incident to a front desk, a girl name Zoe and she told me she will look into this and call me back, never heard from her. To leave a one star for this hotel the staff at cloud 9 restaurant was awful! I waited over 1.5 hrs for two dinners, and everyone that came after me had already ate and left. When I brought it up to the waiter he told me 5 more minutes. I waited an extra 10 minutes and then I asked for my check I'm not going to wait any more. Not even the manager on board came to explain to me what happened. The guy waiting on us did not even care but I still paid for my water 4 euros, calamari 6 euros, and bread 1.5 euros. They didn't even apologize or offer an alternative for the almost 2 hrs wait. This is absolutely the worst service and hotel I've ever been too. First time in Athens, and might be my last. Service all around is awful.

  • 1/5 Katjumi I. 8 months ago on Google
It felt like living in a hostel instead a hotel. We had to wait for our check in an extra hour, got stuffed in a small room they called "superior" and on top we were unlucky with our neighbours who banged doors in the middle of the night leaving their rubbish in the hall next to us. One evening we came back finding an iron board in our room someone apparently left there while we were away. Lame apologies from the staff can't really compensate the really awful experience. I can't recommend that place at all.

We only stayed one night, but found The Stanley to be an excellent choice. The service was exceptional and the entire staff was courteous, friendly and professional. Our room was spotless and offered a very comfortable night stay. The roof top restaurant, bar and pool area was amazing, with a picturesque view of the Acropolis. The food and service was outstanding. We were all very happy with our choice and highly recommend The Stanley Hotel

We've stayed here twice now. I was not as impressed on the first stay but on the second stay we were happier with the room, mainly because we had bed lamps. The bed is comfortable enough. Two pillows. Decent but small bathroom. Good water pressure. Nice selection of soap and shampoo. Small but functional television. Power points are bedside. The bathroom linens could be a bit larger. Great rooftop bar and restaurant with views of the Acropolis. Excellent pool on the roof as well. Easy to visit the top floor and take photos outside. The bar is happening and with a nice selection of expensive cocktails. The main restaurant on the first floor (not to be confused with the mezzanine floor) has decent food but not great. Good coffee at breakfast like expresso and cappuccino. The wine is barely drinkable and outrageously priced. Service is excellent, really nice people who try to do their best.

  • 3/5 Alex B. 8 months ago on Google
The staff of the hotel on the rooftop are very rude, as they try to avoid helping you as much as they could, I would have to ask for some sort of service, several times before it was given to me, and on my last night when I was on the rooftop I tried to order a drink, but I left my id in the room, so I told them I will show them a picture, which they said was fine, but when I showed them the picture they said a picture wasn’t good enough and then they told me to have a goodnight, I felt very disrespected, especially it being a server that served me that drink 3 times prior to the incident. The rooms are very small if you are booking a standard room, and the breakfast in the hotel is the worst food I ate in Greece. In addition to that they didn’t even offer to bring our bags up for us to our room when we checked in. Other than that, the rooftop and pool are pretty nice for the price of the hotel.

  • 4/5 R B. 8 months ago on Google
Ok, this is a difficult review to write. First, the staff at the Stanley are amazing. Friendly, professional, and always helpful. Our room was modern and comfortable. The balcony was a nice feature. The bathroom was efficient even by European standards but clean and well equipped. The rooftop restaurant, bar, and pool are terrific. Again, the staff are engaged and very focused on service. So, here's the issue... The neighborhood where the Stanley is located is not great. The block the hotel sits on is a small oasis in the middle of a very run down part of Athens. After covering a lot of ground around Athens it stands out as covered in graffiti, trash, and home to a lot of unmaintained buildings. We didn't feel unsafe but it was not an area I would want to spend any time in. Thankfully, it's only a few minutes on foot to much nicer neighborhoods. To be clear, I will stay the Stanley again but I will plan differently next time.

The hotel is in a scrappy part of the city. It is like finding a sunflower in a barrow meadow. The room is nice. The breakfast is awful. Go to the bread factory instead. Make sure not to eat outside food in their lobby. The view from their 9th floor is great. Must see. The restaurant on the 9th floor has wonderful food.

  • 4/5 Carrie 2 years ago on Google
The people were very nice and pleasant. The room was very clean although the decor was old and dated. The bathroom had a drain in the floor and the clean water from the toilet leaked when flushed. The shower curtain was short and you needed to be very careful not the get water on the floor. The bathroom door only opened partway and we were constantly bumping into it. Usually when you were in the bathroom the floor was wet. There is no conditioner provided so I had frizzy hair for the week we were there. While the hotel is nice, the neighborhood is okay during the day, but I would not feel comfortable walking at night. The metro stop is around the corner, so it makes it easy to get around the city. Breakfast is provided and there is a large selection of foods. Somethings are a little greasy, but there is a large amount that isn't. The breakfast area is large with windows to the square outside. The roof is the real attraction with the pool, bar and restaurant. Marie is there at night and does a great job. We only had good service while we were there. The dinner menu was a little pricey, but not awful. The food was good, although inconsistent. Because we didn't want to walk around at night we ate there often.

I came here as a solo female to take my mind off some things. I can honestly say I’ve had the best experience. First solo holiday and I’m glad it was here. Check in was quick. I was taken to my room but didn’t like the bedroom. So I went back to reception and they happily showed me 2 more rooms. If you’re staying at the lower grounds, I highly recommend you ask if you can change to the 8th floor. Massive difference! Room was spacious and just like the pictures online. The rooftop pool was amazing. Easy to order anything you want using a qr code. Lunch was also nice. I had dinner at the restaurant every night as I didn’t want to travel alone and the staff made me feel very comfortable. Ive recommended this place to so many people and will definitely be back next year!

The Stanley Hotel was great. We stayed in the penthouse suite which was a gorgeous view and next to the pool and restaurants. The only downfall was that it was so hot this time of year on the top floor. Overall our experience was great.

Great location and spectacular rooftop with a nice pool, bar and restaurant! The location is good, just next to the metro station which brings you within a few stops to sytagma, acropolis etc. The room and facilities were clean. Breakfast was also very nice with a big variety!

A very good hotel overall: Pros: - Friendly staff who offer good service. - very good location next to the metro and walkable distance to most sites. (There is a very good bakery/dessert shop just around the corner that is well worth trying called Bread Factory). - Rooms are clean and of decent size. - we got offered an upgrade to our room without us even asking and were also provided with early check-in and rooms available immediately. - Good breakfast choice, even for vegetarians and vegans with a great view and atmosphere at the rooftop restaurant. Cons: - Pool water very cold, to the point where you can't warm up once inside. - Bathtub slightly small and does leak water outside. Shower temperature also fluctuates on its own accord and does spike to very hot levels. Overall a few small issues but nothing that takes away from the overall positive experience.

Don't know about the rooms but our favorite rooftop pool and bar, great staff, cool drinks!

Pretty nice hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. Right next to the Metro so you can easily get to most attractions. There are a few places nearby for coffee and food. The rooftop restaurant and pool area are awesome! You get a beautiful view of the Parthenon, which is lit up at night. Breakfast options are pretty good with a nice variety. The only thing that I didn't like was the shower. They are super small. You barely have room to breathe inside. They are more like pods than showers. Lol, other than that, very nice.

  • 5/5 Austin B. 2 years ago on Google
For the price I think this place is great. The rooms are super clean and decent size. Staff is always readily available at the front desk with taxis at the ready outside of the main doors. You also can’t go wrong with a rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. Incredible views of the Parthenon and the city of Athens.

This place is awesome. It appears to be a hidden gem in Athens. The staff is always so kind and accommodating. Special kudos to Dimitris at the front desk and Maria the Captain of the bar on the roof. I will stay here in the future...

We did not enjoy our stay at all! Unfortunately we got bit by bed bugs, this was our first stay in greece so we couldn’t have got them from anywhere else. So we have to assume that the bed bugs where in the bed. The bathroom is very old, even though we booked a room with a „renovated“ bathroom. the room was super small and you couldn’t have sat on the balcony since it was so small, had not furniture and looked at the smelly backyard. The breakfast wasn’t really good, nothing except for the tomatoes was fresh. The location was terrible, as you can see from the previous reviews. I cannot recommend walking home alone in the dark, especially as a women. On the official photos the hotel looks so nice, but we got really disappointed:(

Awesome rooms, service and location! The Stanley hotel got us set up and relaxed when we were in a pinch. I stayed here a while back and it was even better than I remembered. Pool has awesome views and breakfast was great. Definitely a good option and would recommend!

Spacious, modern, clean room. Superb breakfast. Location a bit removed from the more-interesting center, but a metro station right outside. The price was higher than more-central options that I found later.

Fantastic location, right next to a metro stop. Great service and a really nice roof terrace with pool. The food is okay, a little on the pricey side for what you get (but you don't have to get it :) ) There's a nice coffee shop on the corner, a great little gyro place across the road and Bread Factory nearby. The staff are all super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend this place

This is a very nice hotel in not so nice part of Athens. The location itself is actually quite excellent. It's just a very sketchy part of town at night however the hotel has excellent security. There's a really nice bakery cafe around the corner. Walking distance to the Acropolis area if you like walking ....maybe 20 minutes... Is also a comfortable walk to the archeological museum. Again the actual location of the hotel is great. The hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are very nice. The staff was great. 2 Free bottles of water every day which was nice and a nice fridge in the room is well. I was happy to have a balcony although the inside inside rooms have a view of nothing. Actually worse they have a room of other hotels and other rooms so basically you have to keep your curtains closed. Food was good and I felt quite safe at the hotel.

Awesome rooftop pool, bar, restaurant. Rooftop pool has awesome shallow area for kids. Very child friendly. Amazing views. Clean and modern rooms. Balconies for after the kids go to sleep. Beer and wine in the room is included in the price. Excellent service, fast and friendly. Grocery and pharmacy is walking distance. 24/7 bakery just outside and the subway is right there too to get around town. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay here in July 2022. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The staff on the roof top pool/bar were also exceptional. Very happy with my stay at the Stanley. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool on the roof was incredible with amazing views of the Acropolis and a great spot to watch the sunset. Food at all of the restaurants was top notch. Highly recommend this place. Thanks to all the staff for making my stay extra enjoyable.

I know, it’s not a five star hotel. But there are Some issues. The capacity of the rooftop restaurant does not match the number of guests. When you order a drink at the pool it takes 30 minutes. The pool is full and unlike the practice in better hotels they do not remove used towels and guest use this to reserve a spot for themselves for the entire day. Easy fix: remove abandoned towels at beds do other guests can use it. Another alarming thing is that they are telling guests to arrive a 7 am at the breakfast so they can secure a table. This means that you don’t get a table on normal times and that they take too many guests while not being prepared to service them. The room we got is neat , clean and comfortable but small. On the terrace door is put a sticker: don’t use this door.

Great hotel, older in the middle of downtown Athens. Excellent entrance/ lobby. Buffet breakfast was very good although not all items were hot in the hit plates. The room was clean but aged. We would stay here again no problem.

An amazing hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2022 in a superior refurbished room (which was given to us as part of a complementary upgrade from a regular room). The hotel is located very centrally and just a 15 minute walk from the central area of Monastiraki and Psiri. There is also a metro station (Metaxourghio) located literally 30 seconds from the hotel entrance, so getting to and from the hotel is easy. The room was clean and large, with a huge balcony and a great view. The staff were also very nice and keen to help. However, the highlight for me was the INCREDIBLE breakfast which had such a huge variety of food that we stuffed ourselves far too much every morning trying to taste it all. There is a gorgeous swimming pool and bar on the roof with panoramic views of the city though sadly it was a bit too cold for is to take a dip during our stay. We will certainly return to the Stanley if we are ever in Athens again. Thank you for the memorable stay!

A very nice hotel, very clean, excellent services, excellent customer service, a room with a modern character and a modern model. The staff are smiling and provide the best services. It has a swimming pool, a gym and a restaurant that serves breakfast with fresh types of all meals. A wide variety to suit all tastes. What I liked the most was the bed that makes you sleep in comfort and calm It should be five stars only if the location is better. I thank the hotel management and all the hotel staff by the way. The price is normal for an excellent hotel, but rather cheap for a hotel that I classify as five stars.

Incredible amenities and spacious rooms for multiple people, with comfortable beds and wonderful views. All utilities worked spectacularly, breakfast was incredible and featured a multitude of local specialties and comfort foods from home, and catering was top notch. The hotel's location made for quick and easy walks around Athens to and from areas of interest, although the interior was large enough to occasionally be disorienting and difficult to navigate. Of course, the rooftop bar and pool was incredible as well, offering a spectacular view of the Parthenon and the sea of buildings in and around Athens as far as the eye can see--squint hard enough, and you'll even make out the Mediterranean! My one qualm would be the difficulty of obtaining reliable internet signal in the hotel, with the most solid service, which was still spotty at best, isolating itself to the rooftop area.

We had a fantastic stay at Stanley Hotel. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Restaurant and swimming pool are located on the rooftop with magnificent view of Acropolis and Athens. Hotel is located close to metro station.Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Stanley for a fantastic long awaited holiday!

This is a 4 stars hotel but with 5-star service. Nothing we asked was too much. The buffet breakfast had a great selection, but dinner was even better delicious food and cocktails, and they made our wedding anniversary very special. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location very close to metro. 3 stops away from Syntagma. Acropolis is 1 further stop. Very well managed hotel, things are kept simple and effective. We were asking for a quiet room, the lady took our request very seriously and gave us even an upgraded room as other rooms were occupied. Rooms were always clean and personal was very friendly and helpful. Our room was newly renovated. I saw more renovations were ongoing. The breakfast offers the most choices I ever experienced in a 4* hotel. There’s quite some traffic around the hotel, for a quiet room one should explicitly ask as we did. Some of the surrounding streets are not very nice to walk through. It didn’t matter so much for us as we normally just take the metro which seems safe.

Awesome hotel with a brilliant rooftop pool. Great value cocktails too which is unusual for a hotel, even more so on a rooftop terrace bar. We were so pleased with the place, perfectly situated next to the underground, that we're coming back this year for another long weekend.

A nice hotel and very helpful staff. The rooftop with a restaurant, bar and swimming pool was very nice. Also with an amazing acropolis view. Having breakfast outside on the rooftop looking at the acropolis was a good way to start the day!

Overall decent hotel with good onsite amenities. My room is not as comfortable as I would of hoped for but it isn’t terrible. Breakfast is very good and great location.

Excellent staff and service . The staff look after you with a big smile and very supportive from the moment you get down from the taxi till you leave a hotel . Food was very high quality at breakfast and hygiene was the best I have seen so far since covid . Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a very nice stay at the Stanley. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a view of the Acropolis. The complimentary beer & wine were a nice touch. Our buffet breakfast with a pleasing variety of choices was included. The rooftop pool, restaurant and bar area is lovely and again, a pleasing view of the Acropolis. The location is very convenient to the Metaxourghio Metro station and we used it every day of our stay. Unfortunately the hotel is located at the edge of a questionable part of town and we saw people sleeping rough in Karaiskaki Square and it was not a comfortable area to explore on foot. The food at the restaurant was good, not great and some of the wait staff need lessons in proper mask wearing. The housekeeping staff were efficient but I do wish they had reliably replaced the tea that was used and made sure the glasses were very clean. Overall a very good stay.

I stayed here for about a week. The front desk staff was accommodating, keeping my bags aside while waiting for check-in and after checkout. You'll need to call for an iron if you need one - there isn't one in the room. The front of the hotel gets busy in the morning. The Stanley is a standard pickup location for tour buses, so you might be dodging a sidewalk absolutely packed full of tourists on your way out of the lobby. The morning breakfast is expansive and varied; make yourself salads, parfaits, and heavier fare. There are many options, but as the welcome document you receive from staff says, it's best to go to breakfast earlier, as it gets a little crowded later in the morning. Depending on the floor you're placed on, you might be kept up by some of the noise from the rooftop bar/pool area during early evenings—something to keep in mind. Narrow tubs in the showers - there's no flat area in the middle; it's just a continuous curve. Weird. Overall, The Stanley is an excellent place to stay. There are plenty of other hotels nearby, so I assume it's pretty common for conventions or expos to turn up here.

The pool and pool service are excellent, 5* standard. The breakfast is grim, 2* standard. Rooms are fine but the sound isolation and black out curtains are awful. The pillows are very poor quality. The location is perfect for the metro and tourist bus but not so good for walking although a walk into the main area is doable. I would stay again for the pool and the service but skip breakfast and bring my own pillow!

Our Four day stay did not start well.First day our Ac did not work and had to sleep in 80 degree humid temps. They didn’t have another room till next day to change. I had to request a n adjustment in price for the first night, It was not offered right away. I asked for it on third day of stay. The area around hotel is starting to get run down with homeless and drug people. You must be very careful on which streets you venture out on.

This hotel is lovely! The service is great, and the roof top pool is awesome! It’s located about 30 mins from the Plaka area, so plan to walk or take a bus if you’re wanting to go there. The area itself where the hotel is located is not the greatest, but there are two amazing restaurants across the street & a lovely coffee shop around the corner. The sightseeing bus also stops right around the corner, which is super convenient! The rooms are small but functional! The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere and the portions are generous! The breakfast buffet has plenty of offerings to all your likings - I was pleasantly surprised! The pool was definitively my favourite feature, though it does get quite busy in the afternoons. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

I LOVED this hotel. Firstly the location: The metro is right outside the hotel and will take you everywhere. The bus tour stops are also right outside, making exploring this city so easy. The room: We got a superior room on the 7th floor with a balcony, the view were actually amazing!!!! The room was clean, renovated, bed comfortable and they clean your room everyday really well. The staff/breakfast: Breakfast is lovely! The staff are ALL so friendly and polite, just added to the great experience. The roof top pool: This is such a stunning feature to this hotel. Feels really luxurious, its super clean there are 360 degree views from there and a view of the Acropolis, its quite breathtaking. Loved my stay here and can't wait to come back! The only place I'll stay in Athens!! Thank you!!!
