I would like to share one of the coolest experiences I had while visiting Greece last year was my visit to Dimos! I met the owner Stavros and told him I was potentially looking for a wedding band for my upcoming marriage. He managed to not only find the FINEST and good looking ring I've ever seen (just look at the photo, but the crafmantship and quality was absolutely world class - im a jeweler myself-). Stavros, his wife and his son (Odysseus) were amazing! The initial fit needed an adjustment, so unbeknownst to me, while I was talking with Stavros and trying one of his wife's DELICIOUS Greek treats (some kind of pastry that she makes) it just so happened that Odysseus was working on my ring! The fit is INCREDIBLE. Being my marriage ring I never take it off, and I have to say that the way this white gold diamond ring came to me is one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had! A trip to Athens would not be complete without visiting Dimos Jewelry. They have a shiny new store in Plaka on Adrianou that sparkles with precious metals and gemstones that have been transformed into stunning pieces of jewelry. At the helm is Stavros whose artistry is matched only by his attention to customers. My first purchase was in 2011, and I have been back consistently over the years in addition to ordering through the online site during the pandemic. This summer, with the greater fluidity of travel, I managed to get my Athens trip in and purchased two pieces from the Balance Collection - the necklace with five floating charms and the matching earrings - and could not be more delighted! It's hard to put this customer experience into words. Suffice it to say Stavros has many gifts that are well worth their weight in gold.

Great Experience, Fantastic Pieces. Really a lot of fun speaking with the staff. We dealt with Nick and some of my family dealt with Steve dimos himself. When i asked Steve how he got into the jewelery business, he pointed the older gentleman sitting quietly at a desk and said "My Father". I had initially picked out a large (2" diameter) medallion and chain. Steve said directly "Im not going to let you buy that" and instead showed me pieces that where actually less expensive but more appropriate for daily wear. Dimos is the only place I’ll ever buy jewelry again! My first time out of the country (solo), I decided to go to Athens and spent 4 months prior looking up local jewelry shops for potential pieces to commemorate my trip, and BAM then I came across Stavros’s shop. This was the first place I stopped in Athens and it blew my mind!! (The selection is out of this world and you have to be in the store to see just how much they have or message him, because they will take the time to help find a piece or custom make a piece for you) Stavros, Nikos, Ana, and Nancy helped me find the perfect black sapphire panther bracelet and gold infinity Greek key ring. (My one-of-a -kinds that no one else in the world has) I wondered in and out of other jewelry shops, but the quality was not the same as Dimos, the pressure to buy was forced, and other shop owners hardly gave me the time of day. Stavros, on his own is the kindest man I met in Greece. He invited me to stop by as much as I like, and he truly accentuated my Athenian experience. I will miss him, Nikos, and Ana but will defiantly be back one day! I spent a week in Athens, and I stopped by the shop each day to catch up and hang out with Stavros and the crew. He gave the best local recommendations, introduced me to nearby shop owners, offered me drinks, many laughs, and great company! He is true local king of Athens! It was my first but also the last stop of my trip so this place is now sentimental to me and the crew have a special place in my heart! They made me feel like a local, answered all my questions, had the best recommendations, and my time spent in Athens and with Stavros are now commemorated by my by the two pieces I bought and will now wear everyday to remind me of my time in Greece and of the amazing people I met along the way! We came across this lovely shop at the end of a Mediterranean cruise in August of 2017. I had no intention of buying anything in a foreign country but the beautiful selection, atmosphere and warm hospitality was so welcoming that my husband and I decided to really examine the value of the pieces of jewelry. One wonderful aspect was that there was no no pressure at all. The entire experience allowed us time to shop, find the jewelry we liked best and determine that we just had to bring back a piece that was a one-of-a-kind heirloom. Since my first purchase I have now bought several more pieces. Most recently in April, a pair of diamond and Greek key earrings. Steve (Stavros) actually shipped them to me through DHL and I received them promptly without a hitch. In November of 2017 I had a girls party at my house and Steve brought many of his gorgeous pieces. My friends and I bought multiple beautiful pieces. Quite frankly I think I’m addicted! My husband is really happy because after I had them appraised they came in significantly higher than what I actually paid for them.

I looked up this style of jewelry before my trip to Greece to see what shops people recommended. I had checked out the stores website before I arrived, but I was not prepared for how beautiful everything they make was (and how hard it was to choose). The owners were also extremely sweet people. I bought several lovely gold pieces, some are highly detailed and one is custom. All are extremely well made and have worn very well with no problems. I’ve worn the lovely pieces constantly since I purchased them. He uses 18k gold which is the best! We were treated as family while we shopped and when we ran into him the next day we gave him a hug because we felt that we had become friends. He also gave gifts to our children to commemorate our visit to Athens. He will be our family jeweler for life!

Incredibly friendly and considerate family-owned business. While we were on vacation in Athens, my fiancee accidentally hit her engagement ring and damaged one of the prongs holding the stone in place. Had read wonderful reviews of Dimos Jewelers prior to traveling to Athens Greece. They did not disappoint! I was hoping to find earrings to match an inherited necklace that looked like it had a Greek pattern, but honestly I had no idea. The staff and owner Steve really spent some time in reviewing the necklace and what they had on hand in the store to match. They offered up some lovely earing matches and were so very informative and through. I ended up purchasing several pieces and left my inherited necklace with them to have it replated. Wow! I just received it and it is just gorgeous... huge difference! I am so excited that they liked the necklace so much they plan to replicate and update the design with extra bling. Can wait to visit Athens and the islands again and will definitely pop in Dimos ... hopefully my updated necklace will be available for purchase!
