It
was
my
first
visit
and
arguably
the
expectations
were
high,
given
Secret
Garden’s
stellar
culinary
reputation.
And
they
did
not
fail
to
deliver.
We
arrived
early
on
a
school
night
and
the
staff
was
ready
to
tend
us,
offering
indoor
or
outdoor
seating
options.
The
menu
is
small
but
almost
every
dish
we
sampled
was
simply
fantastic,
with
local
cuisine
recipes….
taken
to
another
level.
Went
for
the
green
salad
w/
pastrami,
Andros
cheese,
cherry
tomatoes,
cashew
nuts
and
ginger
vinegret,
the
beef
tartare,
the
goat
pilaf
croquettes,
the
pork
bao
buns,
and
pork
(?)
tacos.
The
one
dish
that
stuck
out
for
me
was
the
beef
tartare
which
was
simply
out
of
this
world.
Not
only
each
bite
was
mouth
watering,
but
the
combination
of
ingredients
was
an
oral
cavity
orgasm.
So,
if
you
like
raw
meat,
you
should
not
leave
Secret
Garden
without
trying
this
dish.
The
got
pilaf
croquettes
were
a
great
attempt
at
taking
a
traditional
Greek
wedding
recipe
and
modernizing
it
with
a
twist.
The
pork
bao
bans
are
also
a
great
choice,
with
excellently
balanced
ingredients,
introducing
an
Asian
touch.
I
can
probably
go
on
singing
praises
to
this
restaurant,
but
ultimately
I
think
that
one
should
simply
try
it
out
for
themselves.
The
prices
appear
on
the
higher
end
of
what
one
would
expect
for
a
Greek
tapas
place
(μεζεδοπωλείο),
but
they
are
totally
worth
it
based
on
the
dishes
we
sampled
as
far
as
taste
but
also
portion
sizes.
