Beautiful boutique hotel in the city center. New construction, neat, clean rooms. Overall very good complimentary Continental breakfast on the roof top patio with amazing views of Acropolis and the Parthenon. Friendly staff. Neat hidden gem is the Spa. One of the best deep tissue massages I’ve had (Therapist was Katerina). Amazing steam room and dry sauna. One of the massage rooms even has a private jacuzzi and open roof. Absolutely amazing! If anything, would come back here just for the Spa.

Clean, gorgeous, and fairly priced. This hotel is in the heart of everything. You walk out of the hotel and you are in an outdoor mall with tons of shops and cafes. They have a spa and provided us a 30% off coupon. My significant other did the Greek massage and said it was amazing. We were only a few kilometers from the must see acropolis in Athens. It’s a nice walk in the morning and if you are physically capable, you will enjoy the walk instead of taking a taxi. The staff spoke English as well which was amazing as we do not know many words in Greek! The staff was extremely kind and very accommodating. They responded to email and phone calls almost immediately before and during our stay. Our room had a hamam in it as well as small hand weights. We had a great view of a busy mall street. There is not AC in each room but there is a fan cooling and the weather is great outside you can open the large sliding doors. One day we put the do not disturb sign on and the maids cleaned anyway. I had 500 euros and my passport sitting out on the counter as we were not expecting cleaning and it was still there perfectly untouched when we returned. Make sure to have your vaccine card with you as they will require you to show it (as will nearly all shops, restaurants, and museums). Also make sure to bring plenty of masks. As of April 2022 Greece still has mask mandates in place and you will need to wear one any time you are indoors or using transportation.

Great hotel with some amazing restaurant views. Popped in here for dinner one night in Athens and it was an amazing experience. Views at sunset were unreal. Would definitely stay here if coming back to athens. Building was very clean. Staff was courteous and prompt. Elevators and air conditioning in top form. Which if you've been around Athens a bit. You know is very important

This is strictly for the restaurant at the top, the Roof Garden. The food was very mediocre and the prices were not worth it. I’ve been there two other times, and it was a little bit better. There’s no excuse to say that certain cocktails are served only in the summertime for the caliber of such a hotel. The service was excellent. I can’t give it though more than three stars.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the city! We stayed here for the beginning and end of our trip in Greece (October 2023) The complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious along with the magnificent view of the Acropolis. This hotel is in perfect walking distance to all the best sight seeing, restaurants, and shopping.

My wife and I stayed here in December for 3 nights. I am giving it 4 starts because during the stay it was in the 60s during the day. Our room faced the sun as it set in the afternoon causing it to get very warm in the room. There was no air conditioning in the hotel. The entire hotel was programmed to heat, per hotel staff. This caused us to have to leave our balcony door open 24/7 just to make it tolerable. As we tried to sleep the sounds of the town would wake us. Otherwise, Hotel is very nice, clean, and center to everything. Food was good at the restaurant.

Excellent location in the heart of Athens City Center. Walking distance to shopping and dining. 10 min walk to Acropolis. Loved the rooftop restaurant. Wonderful views. Delicious food & bev. Great service. Music. A vibe. Do yourself a favor and reserve the private rooftop hot tub lounge area. Staff is so friendly, helpful. Within 20 min taxi to port. Cute sidewalk cafes across the street. Highly recommend.

Great hotel and perfect location! It was a nice and clean hotel, we had a balcony as well that we could step out onto and enjoy the weather. It is situated on a busy street but we did not hear any noise from the street in our room. We had dinner at the roof top restaurant and it was delicious with a beautiful view of the acropolis. We had an early flight the next morning and the hotel was able to pack us to-go boxes for breakfast! I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful morning view of the first light of sunrise on the Acropolis from the restaurant. Excellent staff and service. Room lighting could be better for when you're packing, but fine otherwise.

Stayed at Elia Ermou with my husband for 13 days in September. Words can not describe how unforgettable our stay was! Top professionalism from the time you check in to the time you check out! The hotel is extremely clean, the breakfast one of the best ever, the staff at the front desk amazing! Eva with her sweet smile every morning at the restaurant ensured we had everything we needed, she was wonderful and we miss her! The spectacular view of Acropolis and the energizing vibe of Ermou St was something to keep in your heart for life! Definitely we will never look for another hotel anymore Είσαστε όλοι υπεροχοι..σας ευχαριστούμε με όλη μας την καρδιά (Eva Johnson)

Do note: the build up of the bathroom in some rooms is quite unique comparing to other hotel rooms. So be aware and check carefully when you book a room: The bathroom/toilets is made of 3 "sections" (a) The toilets is behind a door which can be closed, thereby separating it from the room itself. (b) The basin/sink is behind a glass wall. The "user" is partly visible from the room. The glass is a partly transparent. (c) The shower is behind a glass which has a sandblasting (= not transparent) not top to bottom, but from about 40 cm from the lower part till 60 cm from its top.

This place was the best choice for Athens. Beautiful hotel, amazing view, location is phenomenal. It is literally in the middle of the shopping center and few kilometers from the acropolis. You can see the view from the rooftop which is where you will get your daily breakfast from as well. I also got the Greek massage and got a discount. It was definitely worth it after few kilometers of walking. Important advice: it is better to do Uber than ordering transfers through the hotel because with Uber it is half the price.

Beautiful hotel in the center of vibrant Athens life. Surrounded by great restaurants, caffes and shops. Let me start with breakfast - placed on the rooftop with nice selection of food and amazing view on Acropolis. Rooms are clean and nicely equipped. We had 2 types. 1 was OK, rather small and another one was big/spacious with walking-in shower. The hotel also has decent parking garage so you do not need to worry if you have a car. People at reception are super friendly. Highly recommended if you want to explore Athens.

We didn't have a good sense of exactly what to expect at this hotel, but booked it because of the high reviews. We are so glad we did! Excellent location - great views of the Acropolis - and the room (we booked a Deluxe Suite With Acropolis View) - was AMAZING. Easily the biggest hotel room we stayed at on the mainland - the room was impressive, inviting and modern - we loved the hot tub in the center of the room with the changing lights! Dinner was excellent - everything about our stay was great. Can't recommend this hotel enough. Definitely where we'll be staying next time we need a hotel in Athens!

Very nice breakfast included in the price. Beautiful view of the Acropolis on top floor. Room not airy and A/C is set at fixed high temperature .Not cool enough to breath. The view is too dark from widow showing only walls. Room is clean and service was good. Location was very good.

I recently had a booking at Elia Ermou Athens Hotel, which I unfortunately had to cancel due to an urgent military call-up. Despite the extraordinary nature of my situation, the hotel strictly adhered to their non-refundable policy and did not offer any form of refund or credit. While I understand policies are in place for a reason, I was hoping for some understanding and flexibility under these unexpected and challenging circumstances. The lack of accommodation for a situation beyond my control was disappointing. I wanted to share my experience to inform others who might find themselves in unforeseen situations. A little empathy and flexibility in customer service can make a significant difference, especially during times of crisis.

We stayed here at the beginning and the end of our trip to Greece. The hotel is in a great location in the historic district. The rooms are tight, but have everything you need. We had a room with a balcony for the second visit, which is really nice. The view of the acropolis from the rooftop is amazing. The breakfast is the same each day, but has several options and fresh squeezed orange juice. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around to keep you busy for days.

  • 5/5 Brianna K. 10 months ago on Google
Nearby all the shops and restaurants, it’s a good central location for Athens. You can walk to every attraction nearby or call an uber for around 4-7 euros. I felt safe here being only female travelers. For the rooms they were clean and comfortable. The bathroom we had lacked a little privacy while traveling with a friend, but for couples it would be ok. The offered a daily breakfast buffet that had a good variety of food and beverage options. I didn’t take advantage of any of the other amenities but the rooftop had great views of the acropolis. I would stay here again for the value.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Perfect location, has all the amenities and superb staff and service. Rooms are very comfortable and I especially loved the showers!

Near the center of Plaka and it was not noisy at all. Loved the rooftop restaurant with the best view at the Acropolis. Hotel room came with a free breakfast. All the staff (including the restaurant staff) were friendly except for the older gentleman that greeted us at check in.

The hotel is nice, but rooms do not have dressers or shelves in the closet, only hangers.  Showers is nice, but if you leave the spray in the wrong setting, the room gets wet.  There is no bathroom, the room and bathroom is one big room with a step into the bath section where in the middle of the night you do not remember and stub your toe. There is no pool, it is a 3 person tub. No existent gym. They did have weights in my room.

  • 4/5 Evan P. 10 months ago on Google
No doubt the great location offsets some of the issues. Again right in the center of everything. I love walking new cities and everything was right there or within 30 minutes. View from restaurant of the acropolis was excellent with nice morning breakfast buffet. Housekeepers and waiters very nice. Front desk awkward and cold. 4-star hotels are relative. This is like a 3-star Raddison interior wise. No amenities other than one small sauna and jacuzzi which need to be reserved. Odd. Rooms are clean and bed is fine. Pillows were AWFUL. All 4 thick and firm…not comfortable at all and as cheap as it gets. Affects sleep level for sure. Easy fix which would benefit the hotel. All in all good for the price, but I might spend a bit more elsewhere for a more elevated experience next time.

Our favorite hotel in Athens. Walkable to many destinations, lots of shopping and cafes nearby. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. Breakfast was spectacular and the rooftop view was just as great. Highly recommend Elia Ermou.

This hotel continues to surprise me! Started with a free upgrade to a beautiful suite with an extensive balcony and jacuzzi, and then I discovered the breakfast buffet was on the top floor overlooking the acropolis, wow! Wonderful all around. Friendly staff and beautiful hotel.

The location is excellent. Very central. The rooms are decent, but nothing special. However, the breakfast that they offer is absolutely incredible and the rooftop view of the Acropolis is gorgeous. We had the complimentary breakfast every day we could. Fresh fruit, pastries, perfectly cooked eggs, a wide variety of other breakfast foods to choose from.... it far exceeded my expectations!

I have stayed at the hotel on numerous occasions, and everything is absolutely great. The staff are very helpful and willing to assist you in any way possible, especially Mrs. Maria who has been extremely helpful and very polite. The location is right at the heart of Ermou Street with shops on one side and restaurants on the other. One can have the best of both worlds. Thank you to all staff at the hotel for a wonderful experience. Keep smiling, everyone, and thank you!!! 🙂😉

This Hotel location was incredible. However the A/C did not work. The front desk told us the A/C did not go below 22 Celsius, way to hot for us. We stayed 2 nights and did not sleep because it was too hot.

Amazing location, room were very clean, we took breakfast also, the selection was very good, and had a great view to the acropolis. The stuff was also very friendly and kind. The price was kinda high but worth the money due the location and the facilities. We took the room with the Jat tub, very romantic

Great Hotel centrally Located. Of you cannot handle noise then you should ask for rooms from the 4th floor up as the streets below are very noisy day and night. That is the downside of centrally Located. Everything is within reach. Breakfast needs a serious improvement although what they offer is good. Prices are overrated everywhere now. This property is spotless clean and the staff especially the housekeeping is amazing.

Extremely poor service - would not recommend staying here. The doorman demanded to know whether a bag was truly my sister’s bag even after she told him which bags were hers. We were shocked and appalled by how aggressive they were about holding our bags since we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready yet. To make things worse, the doorman later told our Uber driver he couldn’t pick us up even though we were standing in front of the Uber trying to get in - it was clear the doorman told the Uber driver to cancel our ride and take other patrons of the hotel instead. Will never stay at this terrible hotel again!

My family and I had a fantastic experience at the Elia Ermou Athens Hotel. The service was outstanding throughout our entire stay, including at the beautiful rooftop restaurant. There is a prime view of the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant as well. The staff were very polite and communicated well in English. The hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were large, especially for a hotel near the city center. I felt safe throughout my stay and the hotel’s security was good. Additionally, we didn’t hear any noise from the streets below or neighboring rooms, so much so that they might be soundproofed! The hotel is located in a busy shopping and entertainment district with plenty of great restaurants right outside. It is also close walking distance from Syntagma Square and the Hellenic Parliament, the Temple of Zeus, The Acropolis, and other key places in Athens.

Excellent location and hotel conditions. Front desk and other service staff are all friendly and helpful. I requested early check-in the day just before my cruise ship arrival and was accommodated. All wood floor in the room that was great for my wife who usually is allergic to carpet dust. Mattress and pillows were nice and firm. The included hot breakfast is excellent with freshly pressed orange juice and freshly baked bread. We loved the Greek yogurt with honeycomb. And great view of the Acropolis from the restaurant. Our room was on the fifth floor and we didn’t hear any noise from the streets below at all. Will definitely stay here again in our future trips to Athens

We had the pleasure of staying at Elia Ermou in July & August of this year while in Athens. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel so welcome, The Hotel Reception team was warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. Nikos who helped us on many occasions was kind, courteous, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nikos went above and beyond throughout our whole stay from helping with our luggage to organising transfers and checking in to see all was going well. On our last evening in Athens, we were surprised with an upgrade to a Suite with Acropolis views which made our last evening in Greece so memorable - Thank you! From the moment we stepped into the Athens View Balcon Restaurant, we were greeted by the kind and smiling faces of Alexandra, Eva & Nikos. Their positive and welcoming nature made our mornings extra special when we visited them at breakfast time and were greeted by their beautiful smiling faces. Thank you to the whole team at Elia Ermou for your kindness and hospitality and I wish you all the best for the upcoming winter season.

Very large rooms! For a European destination, this is special. It's even larger than most North American rooms. The rooftop breakfast is pretty good. The lifts are devastatingly slow. Reception area is also very small and often overcrowded with incoming / leaving guests.

Friendly staff! They offered to pack breakfast for us and would try to help us in any way. Amazing location, walking distance from the Acropolis approximately 10 minutes. Room was very clean and modern. The view from the balcony was beautiful!! I could not have had a more positive and amazing experience at this hotel. Thank you Elia Ermou Hotel for the great stay in Athens.

Great location, but very noisy place. We had a room facing the main street, despite having a double window installed, the noise from the street is disturbing all the time with street musicians or restaurant music just under your windows. Doors to the room are paper thin so you can hear every person in the corridor, mornings with slamming the doors all around won't let you sleep long. We liked the hotel restaurant that serves very good food with a great atmosphere and views. As said, location wise you can hardly get any better, all major attractions are very close.

  • 5/5 Anna C. 6 months ago on Google
Location was great, walking distance to all the sights we wanted to see and was surrounded by shops and restaurants so easy access to everything you need. Everything worked fine and we loved the hammam. Breakfast was amazing with fresh squeezed orange juice and a huge food selection and gorgeous views on their top floor! We were placed on the second floor, our room was fine but a little bit worn, likely due to the large volume of guests they accommodate. Everything worked fine and the bed was comfortable. Room was a good size as well. There was a little bit of noise because it is a busy area but it didn't bother us, wasn't bad at all at night.

One of the best rooms I've ever stayed in! The shower in particular was amazing, overhead, wall jets and a handheld head. The massive bed was like sleeping in a cloud, wifi was really good. Soundproofed room was great. Location right in the heart of Athens. All the staff were very friendly and attentive 🙂

I was pleasantly surprised at the room layout, decor and technology. Well-appointed, great size and beautiful decor. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop bar is stunning! Great location- steps from dining, shopping and markets.

  • 4/5 Semur N. 2 years ago on Google
the good: attentive staff, clean rooms and a nice view of the acropolis at the rooftop restaurant, decent prices. the bad: ok food at the rooftop restaurant and the AC is so weak it might as well not exist. Makes it impossible to sleep through the night, which worsens the experience.

We stayed here for our honeymoon for 4 days before heading off to Santorini. The hotel location is perfect, everything in Athens is within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was really nice, and the kind receptionist upgraded our room free of charge! Our room was large with an amazing balcony view of the Acropolis it also had a steam room which was great. The breakfast had alot of choice and was great food, so was the bar and restaurant which again had great views of the Acropolis. The hotel has a spa and gym but unfortunately no swimming pool. If I am ever in Athens again, I would stay here for sure. Keep up the good work.

Location great, safe parking just next to the hotel, stuff very kind and helpful- they even helped us recommending and booking restaurants. Spa is not something I would recommend.

I was a regular on the Elia restaurant. But as time went by the quality of the food and service rapidly declined. Yesterday was the last time I went , and it was my worst experience at a restaurant of this calibre. The waiter was speaking to us like we were in a tavern, not a high quality restaurant. the staff had an attitude like they didnt want any clients to be there. Even though we went at 10 o clock in the evening. They mixed up our order, we waited 15 minutes in order to find a waiter and pay the bill. Seriously, improve yourselves. The worst part was that when I complained to some senior staff member, letting them know that I was a regular, she told me she knew it. Well, imagine what my experience would be if she didn't. It's a shame really.

My wife Dana an I spent our first two nights in Athens at Elia Ermou during our 15 day stay. Had we known how nice the hotel would be, we very well might have stayed longer. The hotel is top notch in terms of location, our Acropolis view, and a very accommodating staff. Additionally, if you have a rental car, they save you a big headache by offering valet parking for a reasonable price in this hard to park in, busy section of Central Athens. Fantastic rooftop breakfast available as well. Highly recommended!

The hotel room was very comfortable, had a lot of space and was very clean and high maintained. Also in the night it was very quiet. Breakfast was tasty, everything fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk to the acropolis and the touristic places.

We have stayed in this hotel twice together with my husband. So, I believe I can give an honest feedback:) What was good: - Very friendly staff - Location - Nice breakfast selection and waiters at the restaurant are just sweethearts Things to seriously work on: - Cleaning. Clean sheets and towels, yet the floor was never cleaned - dust and hair do not suit comfort. - Cleaning time was always different. One day it’s 11 am, another day you come back from roasting weather at 2.30 pm and it is still not cleaned. Weird

Best location. Amazing staff. Could not recommend them highly enough. We have been travelling for some time and have stayed in many hotels across Europe. This place is 5 star, and don’t forget that view. Whenever I have a cocktail, I will always imagine the view. Spectacular.

Lovely hotel, from the entrance on it gives you a luxurious feeling! The rooms were nice and tidy. Extremely clean. Only downside is that the rooms are pretty noisy, the first night music from the bar on the street was playing very loudly but thankfully this stopped around 11 pm. The other nights the noise from the streets were minimal. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing!

Hotel is in a excellent location. Right next to the shopping area with lots of restaurants. IT has a Rooftop restaurant with excellent review to the Acropolis. Must have dinner there, price us very reasonable an excellent service. Sunset view is great. One small thing, the electronic light switch in the room sometimes not working, at least in my room. But I will stay again.

A super experience. We stayed at a nearby hotel and noticed the service at Elia might be better. We had a chance to book a couple of nights at Elia and experienced how truly professional the entire staff was. Maria at reception was friendly and very professional - service with a smile. The bellhops were always handling our baggage with courtesy and care - also with a smile, never rushed. Room was clean, updated, refreshed and welcoming after long transit from Naxos one time and Gregolimano another time. Location was central to all tourist attractions and shopping therapy. Highly recommend. Thank you for the welcome, Maria.

The hotel is in great position, in the center of all the shopping, pubs, restaurants and not far from the Acropolis. The standard rooms are very big, clean and although the fact that there are a lot of people in the restaurant and pubs below, you can't hear anything in the room. perfect sound insulation. The breakfast serve at the 7th floor with view to the Acropolis. Plenty of options serve in the breakfast. Very recommended

Amazing hotel, the view of the Acropolis in the morning whilst eating this AMAZING breakfast is worth a million dollars. Good hotel breakfast is hard to come by if you’re from the US. Only thing is the bathrooms are geared towards couples. No way to get in the shower without the other seeing you naked somehow.

Great hotel. Beautiful, clean room with lots of amenities. Excellent room service and free breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the acropolis. Huge thanks to the Elia Ermou team! We had a fantastic stay, the room was gorgeous with a lovely balcony, the location was ideal, the breakfast was perfect, up on the roof with a view of the Acropolis and the team were brilliant, extremely friendly and helpful! We look forward to staying again.

We stayed here for one night while in transit after our vacation. It was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a child's bed in the room for us. The room was small but well-organized. More lighting in the room would be helpful. The breakfast was excellent (and the view of the Acropolis fabtastic!) but the staff working breakfast were not friendly. This was my one negative from the hotel. The other negative was the elevator, which was terrible. But overall, this is a great hotel and we plan on staying here again in the future.

This was the best hotel I have stayed at in years. Great location. Wonderful service. Beautiful rooms with attention to detail. And the view of Athens and the Acropolis from the restaurant on the top floor. .. - unique. The restaurant and chef are world class. And the staff - wow! Thanks to the waiter Dimitri. Thanks!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was a fantastic stay. The staff was very friendly, and our room was very clean and perfect. They personalized the tv with my name, and it felt so welcoming and sincere. The breakfast was very good too. The location was great. They are also very accomodating, we had an early morning departure and they packed us breakfast to go. Overall, fantastic stay and would highly recommend to stay here!

Great location, right in the center of Athens, 5 – 10 minutes' walk to main attractions, lots of cool bars and restaurants around the hotel, the room was amazing (with balcony and view to the Acropolis), staff is friendly and helpful, very good breakfast with amazing 360 degrees view from the hotel roof. Will defiantly book it again in my next visit to Athens.

Two nights stay. I only could enjoy room and breakfast because I was there for work, but the hotel offered also a wellness center and a restaurant. The room was very big, modern and well-kept. The bed was comfortable. The street is noisy, but the windows were double and double-glazed: when closed they isolated the noise completely. Had coffe-maker and a selection of free coffee and tea. Breakfast was quite good. Wide selection of warm food, fruits and ioghourts, several kinds of bread and some very good pastry, Greek and international. And the restaurant area has views to the Akropolis! Service in general was good. All in all, a very good experience at a not excessive price (in November at least).
