We were fed up of the usual choices in Agadir and when a short taxi drive to Restaurant Rafique after eating good reviews on TripAdvisor. Our server was Abdul, he was attentive from the start and put at us ease and said he will translate anything we did not understand. We went for tagine, spaghetti bolognese and mixed kebabs with chips. Everything tasted great, food was served fast and hot. Much healthier than eating fast food everyday. It was also great value.

The prices are fair and inexpensive and it's nice as its popular with both tourists and locals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner have been enjoyed here (not all on the same day mind you), both alone and with family the experience is pleasant and comfortable either way, which isnt always the case in other Moroccan establishments for females dining alone. They also offer take out, which is what I have started to do more of during lunch times, especially of their meal of the day, which tend to run out by dinner time - they're so popular! Hard to pick a favourite meal, but their tacos and émincés de poulet are delicious. The crush cocktail (mocktail) is lovely and refreshing. You must try this place out when in Agadir! The chicken and lamb Tajines were amazing, but I actually ordered beef and chicken ones....but I didn't mind that to much...but they did fort our order of fries...hence the 4 stars. Went for a meal here tonight with my fiancé after reading some Google reviews. This is definitely the best restaurant I've found in Agadir !!!. The waiter Abdallah was attentive and professional and helped explain all the wonderful treats we hadn't tried before. If you try the soup you'll struggle to eat your main course, there is so much. I had a tagine and my partner had a chicken and mushroom dish. Both were perfect and very tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried and we felt very welcome. The prices too are very affordable for all budgets, approximately £20 English for a meal for 2 including drinks. At one point in the evening a homeless chap was passing by outside and Abdallah took him out a meal so that he didn't go hungry that night...... This is just a small indication of how caring the team at Rafiq are. We will be returning to taste some more from their wonderful menu. WELL DONE 👏👏👏

This place was a bit of a hidden gem. Only found it on our last night and couldn’t believe how cheap it was!
