This was a nice activity in Agadir. We came in December so there weren't a lot of people. It was so quiet in fact that we got our own cabin for just me and my husband. It was lovely. Nice views definitely and a very smooth ride. Loved it.

TL;DR Amazing place! We got to the top of the mountain AKA Agadir Oufella on the Aerial Tramway (Téléphérique), great view and experience to enjoy. Once we got there, the landscape view was magical with all of Agadir in one shot. The fresh breeze was a must with the warm weather of the region. There is the Kasbah few steps ahead with beautiful historical landmarks and signs detailing the history of the place and overall, I highly recommend any visitor to check it out before leaving the city.

It's under construction at the moment for the the next 6 months till they put the cable car in ...but the fort won't be ready till 2024 as they are converting it to a museum and there will be a couple of restaurants too. The views over Agadir are still really nice though...also wear suitable shoes as it's off the beaten track! Also you have to take a taxi up there..as you can't take your own car!

Named for its hilltop kasbah, which was destroyed during a 1960 earthquake, Agadir is a popular resort destination for its golf courses and seaside promenade.

⚠️CLOSED ⚠️ The top is closed as there is heavy construction going on, the taxi drivers and guides will not tell you this and just take you up and then tell you the castle cannot be accessed. Pretty disappointing. It's a beautiful place, shame the top is closed and looks to be closed for many months to come

Exceptional views of Agadir from above but lots of construction up there by where the castle was!!

This view point is fantastic... from here you get a 280degrees view of Agadir. As other many tourist attractions in Morocco you find the snake, monkey and camel handlers as well as souvenir sellers... which I may add, also, all typically forceful on your attention. The picture opportunities from here are immense. You can also visit the ruins ... suitable walking shoes are advised.

Excellent. Cable car prices are multiple times more expensive than a taxi which will cost just MAD 50 one way. You can also walk down, fakes about 40mins 4000 steps on a nice stone paved walking area (will need phone torch if walking down at night).. pretty safe. Beautiful views all over from above there esp the sun set over the sea and how the city lights up at night. Camel and pony ride up there, a mini shop and public toilets.

Great family holiday, good customer service, great food all inclusive, service , friendly service, traditional meals and custom shows throughout the week of stay. Very helpful in providing services in looking at it's cultural places with safety first. With a family of 12 visiting we are overwhelmed with the service that we received. Thanks to all the managers and workers that that made our trip very comfortable and loving.

The view from the top of Agadir is astonishing. You can see pretty much everything from there: the port, marina, beach, city...amazing view. You can visit inside the fort as well and buy souvenirs around the Oufella, get a drink or eat something. Worth to visit.

Nice views from there. Try to time your visit with the sunset for beautiful pictures. The cable car cost 80 dirhams for a return ticket, and it very much worth it. Avoid buying tickets through tour operators as it is so much cheaper to buy it in person at the ticket office of the cable car.

Is not too high.. But i suggest to take a taxi to go on the top and go down following the 30 minutes easy walk enjoying the landscape. On the top you have a good view of all Agadir... Some free horses and birds. There are few camel you can hire for a short walk but for what i think... No reason... Camels are good in the desert or in the beach. For the first time i have seen camels sleeping by side... Then other people with small sheep or snake just want a photo forva small offer... For sure the best view pf Agadir... Pacefully and quiet. Unfortunately there are some repeating antenna that make the place look similar to a Mars base

It has finally been completed! Great job ! In 2020 it was just the top of a hill with some camel men and their beasts (camels and donkeys) now no donkeys and dressed up camels paved steps shops restaurants cablecars! Wow!!! They called it Danialand! Hhhh. Its being repaired for earthquake damage currently. The place is immaculate compared to the majority of any place else around in Morocco! Reasonable prices.unbelievable views of the ocean panoramic opportunities abound!

We took a cab to get there, there’s also cable cars and buses as well. It’s the perfect spot to watch sunset and full view of Agadir, I would say one place you must go visit. The view was stunning, there’s some small shops to have snacks and drinks, you can ride camel here as well , but didn’t see the toilet though. Actually if you have enough time you can just walk to the top like locals from the side of the road , it took sometime but it’s free anyway. ‼️ For the taxi under the hill don’t pay more than 20 dirham to go up, actually it was supposed to be 10 Dirham as a local guide told us, but of course they always want more money. the bus for go and back costs only 8 dirham but need to wait for it.

I was unsure whether to visit after reading some other reviews as a solo female but I'm so glad I did! I walked up which took 45mins maximum with some stops for photos. There were a few people selling things but they didn't hassle you too much and it was mainly contained to the exit from the cable car. You can't yet walk all the way around once at the top but it's still worth the trip up. Wear good shoes if walking as although the paths are new there are the odd one or two sticking out at an odd angle to trip you up. Signs at the top are now in English too

It's definitely a must. Cable cars do all the hard work while you sit and take in the amazing views of the city, coastline, and mountains. The Fort was damaged in the last earthquake, slightly. Proven the skills of the builders then stood the test of time.

Cool place to visit but you can only see the outside walls of the fort. Nice view to the port and the town. Worth to visit on a sunny day if the view is clear.

Right now (July 2021) it's just a cool view. There are plans to rebuild the whole thing and have restaurants and shops and such. So, come for the view or wait until 2023 or so.

Historical place in Agadir. Great view on the city. You can either take the bus, the cableway(50 one way ticket, 80 return ticket) or hike(30 minutes). It's still under construction and interior is supposed to open next year.

Part of the site was closed for maintenance but regardless it was good to be able to visit it. I'm not sure if I would go again as there is not much to do apart from taking pictures of the Kasbah and admiring the view of Agadir from the top.

Fun activity to do specially if you have kids. Great view of the city. The fort on top was closed due to damages from last earthquake but you could walk around on the outside. They sell freshly made churros and delicious coffee by the fort.

Staying in this place is the most pleasant on a cloudless day around sunset. Remember to dress properly. There is usually airing here. The 2 way queue costs 120 MAD. In the waggon up to 8 people. Walking up is about 40 minutes.

The view on top is good and there are taxis in the car park for those without the time or energy to climb up. They charge 100DHs and when you get there you are pestered by helpful guides and camel handlers. This would be no problem except the kasbah is CLOSED !!!!!!!!! Do you want to pay out to see only a view?

  • 4/5 Vladislav K. 5 years ago on Google
Nice view to the city. You can walk there or take a taxi. We walked, it is not difficult way. Also you can ride on a camel. We had to pay entry fee because we are foreigners! Local people do not have to pay. There were too many people.

Agadir Oufella is a breathtaking hilltop spot offering stunning panoramic views of Agadir and Morocco’s Atlantic coastline. I took a fun 10 minute cable car ride to reach the summit for just £10. The aerial journey provided glimpses of the port and Kasbah as we sailed up over palm trees and local villages. Once at the top, the sweeping vistas across the bay and beaches are incredible. You can admire the city and harbor stretched along the shore, bracketed by the mighty Atlas Mountains inland. Nearby signs also pointed out various neighborhoods and landmarks visible from the lookout spots. The photo opportunities are spectacular - especially at sunset with golden light flooding the scene. For a unique photo memory, there are camel rides available for a small fee. I did a brief tour on my friendly camel guide, culminating in shots against the scenic coastal backdrop that I’ll cherish.

A beautiful place to visit. You go before sunset, so you can enjoy watching the city and take pictures before and after sunset. We went by the VIP cable car. Some refreshments were served in the waiting room, and we enjoyed listening to our music via Bluetooth, and there is also Wi-Fi .

We were only able to walk around the perimeter due to the renovations. The views are great and the boards explaining the history are informative. There are a few guys constantly trying to show you snakes and ride camels which is a bit tedious.

Breathtaking views when you reach the top. A must visit if you are there. There will be a cable car 🚠 soon available - looking forward to that. However it’s clear Morocco don’t understand what tourism means, there are no signs, plaquâtes or any information of the history of this place including the equaled that took place. It’s also abysmal that you can’t take your own car but have to take a taxi.. I just don’t get the logic.

Well worth the trip. Cost very little for taxi to cable car lift. Price is 80 dirham each so around £7. Not much to do at top but great views. You can get a taxi up if you want too.

  • 5/5 S V. 9 months ago on Google
Great to visit for 360' views from top; specially of Agadir port and beach. Can easily spend 2-4hours; 30-40min walk up, cable car, taxi/car or bus (4dh) 15min. The walk up is fairly easy if you can manage 40min walk on slight gradient via a good foot path (stone & cemented) starting between the bridge and the fish market roundabout and it zigzags up to the top.

  • 4/5 Dave T. 11 months ago on Google
The highest point of the city and the site of the old kasbah, a fortress which has been rebuilt as a tourist attraction with a cable car up to it. great views across the city when the sea fog is not around. You can't go inside at the moment which is a bit of a disappointment.

  • 4/5 David C. 7 months ago on Google
We took the cable car as a last minute weekday activity, and there were no queues mid-afternoon. Please bear in mind that if you arrive at the cable car station by taxi it's much cheaper to let the taxi driver pick you up from the top and only pay for the cable car in one direction. Views from the top are magnificent but the seafret can vary hour by hour, so best not to book in advanced because of this or you might be very disappointed. There are some interesting information boards dotted around that cover the history of the C kasbah and the earthquake that destroyed it and so many lives. What I feel was lacking was information about the future plans for when it gets reopened in a couple of years time as a new attraction. The only frustration was it became very annoying that everybody up there tries to heckle you, from street sellers to camel riding offers, even including the people wearing lanyards (who I'm guessing were staff there to provide help), who simply point at the information boards then stand behind you with their hand out expecting a tip for their services. Go expecting this to happen, and enjoy what really is an interesting place that forms the historical core of the city.

Would definitely recommend a visit. We decided to walk up because it was a bit of a cooler, cloudier morning and it was a really nice walk. We didn't time it but would think the 45 mins from the bottom of the path is a good estimate. The path is very uneven though. Most people seemed to use the cable cars instead. There was lots of interesting information about Agadir and the fort with old photos and maps I was very happy to read/look at. There were people offering camel rides, snake holding and selling things around one area of the fort which was nice to see and they didn't hassle us which was a nice change. We couldn't go inside the fort but getting to see the views of Agadir and the mausoleum and have a bit of a walk round the outside with the cooling breeze. Definitely a good activity to learn a little about the history of the area.
