Massive, massive and massive and you dont feel like your being pestered either. You can probably buy everything and anything here and did I forget to say its massive. You definitely need a few hours. We were offered to visit this place by our holiday rep for lots of money with a 1.5 hour stay at the market. We decided to hire a car and go ourselves and im glad we did, its fantastic. If you like markets and haggling, this is the place to visit, but be aware, there lots of fakes here.

So much stuff to see here. It is quite overwhelming at first but just settle in an look for what you want. You must haggle, there is no way around it, just set your feet and GO! The same deal or better will be around the corner don't be afraid to walk away. Enjoy the atmosphere and drink as much free tea as you would like!

Definitely a must to see. It's massive, you can get lost walking around the place. It's a wonderful place to get into their tradition and culture. I put four stars instead of five because for me the only thing a bit tedious was the way they wanted to sell you things. They literally didn't let us go out of the shop for at least 30 minutes. Showing us EVERYTHING and offering us teas. It was intense. And negotiate! If you don't, they will charge 20/30 times more just because you're a tourist. So, don't be afraid of huggle!! Definitely recommended!

Souk El Had is a large traditional market located in the city of Agadir, Morocco. It is one of the largest and most popular souks in the country, attracting both locals and tourists alike. The market is known for its bustling atmosphere, vibrant colors, and diverse array of goods for sale. Visitors to Souk El Had can expect to find a wide variety of products, including traditional Moroccan handicrafts, leather goods, textiles, spices, fresh produce, and much more. The market is also a great place to sample local cuisine and street food. In addition to shopping and dining opportunities, Souk El Had offers a unique cultural experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and smells of Moroccan daily life. The market is also a great place to practice haggling and bargaining with vendors. Overall, Souk El Had is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the vibrant culture and rich traditions of Morocco.

Local market where you can buy particularly everything from clothes, shoes and handbags, to cushions, blankets and rugs, you can even buy large electrical items from here, like fridge freezers and cookers, as well as all kinds of exotic spices, sweets and ingredients. Plenty of local taxis available that will happily take you there and back. Prices are high by Moroccan standards, particularly for travelers who don’t speak Arabic, but generally feel like a bargain compared to America or Europe, some stores will allow for haggling, so don't be afraid to take advantage of this. Tailors around the market can also alter garments or make them to your specifications.

The "Sunday Market" is a lovely place with lots of shops. You always find something for you, original and traditional. It was a new but nice experience to us when we had to haggle. We loved it and we felt safe there.

A must see visit in Agadir a staggeringly large souk selling everything all under cover. The displays of fruit and veg are amazing and the people were very friendly. So much to see and take in. Be prepared to bargain if you want to purchase but a great experience and fantastic for people watching.

The market is huge, you can find everything here. From clothes, spices, fruits and ceramic dishes or household appliances. We also really liked the freshly squeezed pomegranate and orange juices.

Get into Moroccan people and culture here. Be prepared to haggle but also "no thanks" if not interested. Hand gesture to your heart really helps with ending conversation and moving on. Great venue though

Vibrant open air market selling absolutely everything. You can find cheap souvenirs, carpet, wooden furniture, spices, groceries, and more! Expect to haggle and be aggressively approached (in a friendly manner) by hawkers.

1st time in a Souk....loved it. Couldn't believe the size of the place. You don't get hassled too much here and there is just so much on offer. Definitely get fresh squeezed juice!

It's a nice place for sure but don't get yourself in tricky situations with the merchants. They do want to make a sale of course and will promise you the world. I'd recommend to negotiate prices too. They will often ask for triple the price so just be aware of that.

Amazing place. Step into another world, a wonder for the senses. Has every single thing you could possibly imagine, from books, to fruit, to furniture. It also shows a different way of life. I spent the whole day there wondering about. I got a taxi there for about 15 dhs from Founty. 100% well worth the visit.

Amazing experience and trader's are not too persistent in getting you into their shop. A chance to browse without being hassled too much. Such an amazing array of food, spices, rugs, leather goods and bartering is a must for a bargain 😊

A very nice and safe place. A couple of vendors were somehow aggressive, but most of them are friendly and nice. If you are shopping, make sure to negotiate half of the initial price.

Great market, bargains to be had, make sure you pay what you want to pay, haggle. There are some that will try to rip you off, the nut man outside gate 10 being one, he charged us 350 for some nuts then also tried to give us the wrong change. but most are just trying to make a living. Expect to pay £20 for a good backpack. You can get the original fakes if that's what your after for around £10 but the quality is not good.

First experience of Morocco. Bit overwhelming at times with sellers trying to entice you in to their stores. However friendly and all keen to give you samples of their wares! We arrived early so weren't ready to eat lunch although the tagines all looked amazing. We were given breaded calamari to try and they wanted us to pose and take photos! ( I had to WhatsApp them to them🤣). The fresh fruit and veg stalls all looked fab as did the olive stall 😍. Had freshly squeezed orange juice for less than £1! Lots of cats and kittens at the market, they appear to be looked after as not timid and piles of cat biscuits and water bowls around. Be prepared to barter!

Amazing place and a must see for anyone visiting Agadir , it's pretty safe as I didn't come across any scammers. Don't be afraid to say "no thanks " to anyone who approaches you, they usually leave you alone after that. 4 starts because of the fact nothing is priced and they will just make one up on the spot, it's then up to you to negotiate whic can be difficult as you don't know the true value of any one of the items. Even if you negotiate down it can still be a pretty bad deal.

Amazing experience when you are in Agadir where you can buy anything you would dream of carpets, tea pots, leather products like shoes, wallets, belts, medicine, magnets, vegetables. However be ready to haggle. Everyone is inviting you to their shops to “just take a look” but as soon as you ask how much they will push you to buy so make sure you only ask if you’re interested in buying. Then depends if you are first time in Morocco and where are you from (they will ask you) they will give you price of product. Do not pay more than half of what they ask. The best thing when they don’t want to agree just leave and they will run after you giving you better price and if not you will find another shop where they might believe me. I love the atmosphere, for my gf it was bit too much but I think is must see when you’re in Morocco!

This souk was nice, we felt safe and we got some nice souvenirs to bring home. However, finding the souvenirs was harder than we thought. Most of the stuff in the market was fakes, fake bags, t-shirts etc. It depends what you are shopping for but I was hoping for a more authentic feel with more hand made bits etc. We did get some lovely bits at a good price. We didn't haggle too much as we were happy to pay what we felt we would pay back home.

HUGE market! It’s a maze inside with what feels like millions of vendors! Literally anything you could want in one place. It’s clean and safe but I recommend going with a guide or a local. All of the vendors try to get you attention and haggling is an art form. I was overwhelmed but my friend loved the excitement of it all.

Excellent bazaar/ souk. One of the biggest local market in Agadir. It has 15 big gates to enter and exit. I enjoyed shopping there. It has everything. Fresh orange juice 10dhr. Souvenir and gifts stuffs you can find easily. Spices and organ oil. Highly recommended

All shopping in one place, 13 hectares and amazing people in Agadir a must for souvenirs and authentic morrocan breakfasts and experience great deals. Lots of parking available

Great place to practice your haggling skills. Try not to make eye contact while you walk. Remember to start very low when haggling for an item. It was not as busy as I was expecting it to be. Multiple doors and easy to maneuver. Taxis are always available outside. Make sure you agree on the price of the taxi ride before jumping into the taxi. It is usually between 15 to 30 MAD to the Agadir hotels, depending on the time of the day. Never had any problems or felt unsafe at this souk.

Just be aware that this closes on Mondays. It's a huge market and you don't get too much hassle from the vendors. Felt safe and was mostly left alone to wander around and haggle for some bargains. Would recommend a visit

  • 5/5 Paul J. 4 months ago on Google
Not as crazy as the one in Marrakech but certainly an eye opener if you’ve never been to a souk before, they always start high so make sure you understand the conversion rate £ so you don’t overpay but remember they don’t have a lot so a couple of pounds means a lot more to them

Huge market where you can easily get lost between little alleyways. We couldn't even nearly finish it. Great leather goods and bags and everything local you can ask for. Definitely make sure to haggle at least 30-50%! Loved the freshly squeezed pomegranate juice and the bagel looking sesame Moroccan cookies - yum!

Great place to experience the moroccan culture. The smells are incredible and the products endles

  • 4/5 Kelly I. 2 years ago on Google
This is a warren of a place, easy to get lost. There is a lot of junk here, but a few gems if you have contacts or know what you are looking for. Do your research ahead of time on how to haggle. I highly recommend trying to not look like a tourist. I was able to get farther with my head covered then I did when it wasn't, and if you have a friend who speaks Arabic or if you speak arabic, you will be in good shape.

A good market to find everything for clothing, food, pots and pans, tagines

  • 4/5 Vee24 2 years ago on Google
Large market, so much different from the super tight ones in Marrakech, much newer and much more space between stalls. You can find here lots of random things, from souvenirs, through clothes and shoes, food, to kitchen utensils. Some stalls do offer lower prices so worth to shop around, and yes, you do need to haggle, some prices they quote to tourists are litterally out of this world. Someone shared a tip with us, if you give some money to the beggars the word will spread quickly and they will follow you around, so if you feel generous do this at the end of your visit just before you leave. Taxi from one of the hotels by promenade was 20 one way, we were told it should not be more than 30 to get from one end of the city to the other.

A great destination for both locals and visitors. Two very different areas across the street from each other. Be sure to visit both to get the best selections and deals. Very busy in weekends when there are more vendors but I prefer early morning weekdays to avoid the crowd and having time to talk to vendors. PS: even for this American the grilled food there is safe and great flavor. Good for just walking around or take-home.

Being renovated. Typical souk, but not overcrowded and relatively clean. Got a manual blade shave at the barber for 20 DH and some tip. Spent a nice afternoon.

Only souk in Agadir so not much choice. Still quite big and there is a lot to see there. Just watch out and always negotiate the price

You can think all kind of stuff here. I wish it was more local. In may/beginning of June it was less crowded and less loud 👍 you can ask sellers to ship you their products as well.

An absolutely amazing Moroccan Market ( Souk )to visit. It's huge, one could easily spend an entire day wandering around the many sections of the market, Fresh fish and adjoining fish fast food eateries, Fresh Fruit and Vegetables, Jewellery, Clothing both traditional and European, Spices, oils and fragrances... There are many cafe's and Restaurants within. Truly worth your while to visit.

  • 3/5 Leszek B. 1 year ago on Google
Huge bazaar. Massive choice of average products at super-inflated prices. Prices displayed at few stalls only. You must haggle. If you like an item, decide what you would like to pay for it before you start a conversation. Do not listen to shopkeeper's arguments. If he will not have your price, walk away.

  • 5/5 Maya H. 2 years ago on Google
The best place in Agadir to shop for everything you can think of. Put your best bargaining hat on!

  • 5/5 Jacob M. 2 years ago on Google
We enjoyed an excellent two-hour visit to the souk with a pleasant haggling experience and minimal hassle throughout. The sellers leave you alone if you ask or say no thank you and there was only one attempted scam that we noticed. Following the warnings a guide had given us when dropping us off in Agadir earlier in the day, we entered with much anxious anticipation, however we needn't have worried as the experience was fairly tame compared to many other places. Do haggle prices down aggressively, one item we paid 200d for from their proposed 1000d, but still think we probably overpaid by 50d. All part of the fun though!

  • 4/5 Kate P. 1 year ago on Google
Arrived mid to late morning, was not too busy, cleaner than expected and the vendors not as pushy as expected either, so over all a very positive experience. all the usual stuff you'd expect for sale, but not "very" cheep, but good value and nice to be able to support the traders after what has no doubt been a couple of very difficult years...

  • 4/5 Martin C. 1 year ago on Google
Great and safe place to visit. You can buy there literally anything. Starting from fresh food, spices, clothing, cosmetics, electric appliances and furniture and much more. Few food and drink vendors. As a tourist you will be charged slightly more than locals however you can haggle the price which is a must. Haggling is almost like a national sport in their culture. People with allergies be aware there are few stray cats. Duration time to walk around is about 2 hours. By entrance locals will offer you a guided tour as you can easily get lost in the maze of the market. Haggle the price before agree the tour. Best and easiest way to get there is by taxi. Used orange colour taxi company and for 7-9 minute yourney for 2 people from the hotel paid 20 dirhams (2GBP) one way. Make sure you agree the price of the fare before the journey (haggling again). Busiest day in market is Sunday. On Mondays market is closed. Hope this helps.

I really love Souk Al Had. There is also a rooftop cafe and some restaurants which are not looking that welcoming at first sight probably but the food is very delicious. There is a lot of choice. You can find nearly everything there. Just always take good care about your bag and dress respectfully so nothing bad can happen.
