Re: Serious misconduct by Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - All Inclusive Adults Only This is our response to Riu Tikida Beach Hotel in Agadir BAR WAS NOT SHUT AT 9PM! Please check the CCTC video on 14th August 2021 ground/ basement floor Hotel Riu Tikida Beach and you will see the hotel is NOT ! Informing you of the truth and are seriously aiming to mislead you. The hotel has lied to you regarding closing bars and not serving drinks at 9pm. DRINKS WERE BEING SAVED PAST 10.30PM. The Hotel Riu Tikida Beach has broken COVID-19 restriction issued by the government of Morocco! They most definitely have served drinks until 10.30pm how did we get some drinks from the bar area along many guests because the bar was full of people maybe 100 or more and live music being played with a band. The guests still being served into 10.30pm or later. Therefore does this mean Hotel Riu Tikida Beach was operating illegally breaking the government rules and should be reported to the government immediately. Also does this mean booking.com also recommended and is continuously facilitating guests into a hotel who is operating illegally as they are breaking and breaching government rules and putting lives of many people in seriously danger. The video attached to this email was taken at 9.30pm and the serving of drinks was continued till late night. Mr Ibrahim the night manager at the Hotel Riu Tikida Beach did not move us to another bar as all other bars were closed. If Mr Ibrahim did ask us to go to another bar then again the Hotel Riu Tikida Beach has breached Covid 19 rules as the time was 10pm when we met Mr Ibrahim. Mr Ibrahim made absolutely no attempt to contact us as we waited exactly where he told us to at the hotel lounge on the ground floor. Mr Ibrahim told us to give him 5 minutes and he will speak to his staff member and come back down however he never came back. Therefore Mr Ibrahim is being very dishonest and this can be proven with evidence if you ask the hotel for CCTV footage of where we were told to be waiting for Mr Ibrahim in the hotel. We waited patiently for 20 minutes and when Mr Ibrahim NEVER came back we went to the reception desk to ask for him and we were rudely told he has already dealt with your issue and he has now gone home. Therefore the Hotel Riu Tikida Beach FAILED to resolve our issues. We have still not been refunded the payment we made to the hotel and have suffered financial hardship. Drinks were served to everyone but when it came to us again exactly like dinner time they were being discriminatory and selective only providing drinks to non Asian customers! We were not rude we were asking for an explanation on why drinks were not served to us. The staff member Mr Tanvir shouted and pointed fingers rudely at us as you can see from the video shouting why didnt we order drinks together why are we ordering one by one. This is abslutely disgusting service. It is also discriminatory. Mr Ibrahim claimed he was the Hotel Night Manager and promised to deal with the issue and informed us he will return after 5 minutes instead of retuening to us he went home. This was very shocking to us and extra ordinary how a hotel manager can just leave the guests standing and just go home! after a complaint was made. This is the level of awful service this Hotel was providing. This hotel was Not fit for purpose hotel! We could not stay somewhere we were being discrimniated for our colour for our religion. We could not stay where the air condition was not working at all we could not stay somehere where they have stoeln our clothes. Also please see CCTV of checking out of our rooms on evening of 14th or day of 15th August 2021 and you will see staff may have taken two jackets and all them items within the pockets. Missing items as we were pushed out of the hotel with all belongings left on the street. YES LUGGAGE WAS DUMPED OUTSIDE NEXT TO THE STREET FOR ANYONE TO TAKE! Please also ask

No children resort, yay! Gorgeous hotel, situated right opposite the sandy beach. They have sun loungers by the beach and by the pool. Hotel staff were friendly and professional, they couldn't do enough for you. The food cooked by chefs in front of you, was tasty, with a great variety. Will definitely return to this hotel resort again. A hidden treasure. Bravo!

Went slightly out of season 2 weeks before Christmas and hotel was only at half capacity. The pool area is a much nicer place since the renovation. And the update to the restaurants was a great move. Large modernised outside seating area near bar overlooking pool area is a good addition. Cannot fault the food, there was a good choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All Staff were completely friendly. There's evening entertainment of singers and acts, not my thing but the older people seemed to enjoy it. The majority of the clientele were older English and French couples. Being right on the long sandy beach is a plus. Will return.

Spent a week here in Dec to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is an adult only hotel and very quiet due to time of year. Staff very friendly there is enough selection of food to suit everybody.

A great hotel, clean and comfortable rooms and plenty of bars and restaurants. The buffet restaurants have a good selection for vegetarians, although the lunch restaurant does not label the food. Service can be a bit patchy in the restaurants but is generally good. Lots of leisure facilities. Quite a lot of cats!

Had a 10 night stay at Tikida Beach Hotel. All staff, from the Reception all the way to the Cleaners were friendly and very helpful - as with most places, gratuity can go a long way. Many of the staff would remember your order or requirements, which adds that personal touch. The food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) was generally good if not quite repetitive - the 'Moroccan Night' had some interesting varieties. Usually, I found myself trying lots of different things but found I would keep returning to favourites. Rooms were very clean, tidy and a good size for a long break - most have a balcony where you could sit outside on. Pool area is nice to hang around if that's your thing. The beach is a stones throw from the hotel, which has a roped off area for hotel guests. The themed restaurants were a bit of a let down - nice enough but the buffet food was better. There were lots of cats around which was lovely and although you're not meant to stroke them, good luck trying not to! Most had collars and were Hotel cats. The on-site TUI reps were friendly and helpful and genuinely showed an interest in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Each night has something going on in the Foyer area (from traditional belly dancing to quizzes and music nights - the in-house singer had a really good voice). If you don't like to be involved in audience participation, you can sit upstairs in the upper lobby and watch from above. There are lots of activities which happen throughout the day, however it can sometimes be a bit hit and miss if they happen, depending on weather and numbers. Fantastic value for money - would gladly stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel in January. What a great time we had.!!! Staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Very good choice of food. A la cart restaurans were all good, our favourite was the Moroccan. Plenty of sun loungers available, whatever time of day you went. Weather was lovely and warm, got cooler in the evening. The only negative we had (sorry i have to say this.) There were sooo many French people, unfortunately some of them were quite rude and thought they had priority over other guests. This made it difficult for the staff and unpleasant for the guests. We are looking forward to returning to this hotel.☺️

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff all fantastic, pool amazing (but chilly!), Rooms could do with a little TLC, our air conditioning was weak and barely made a difference. Overall we had a great time and will return.

Housekeeping was steeling, Managers were respectless and yelling at us. Basic softdrinks were not available for days and days. After all the feedback and several times asking for the Hotel Manager no answer within 4 days. Other people who deserved better Service told us that this works only because they pay daily bribe... Unbelieveable. Never got treated that disrespectful and experienced such a poor service in my life... Stay away from this hotel. Don't know where all those "Stars" should come from.

Had the best experience around a year ago. Staff very helpful would definitely go again. Only downside is it’s a adult only so unable to go with kids.

My scores are based on a stay some years ago. However we loved it then and are considering a return later this year. Right on the beach. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Food was great and the service was amazing.

We returned from our stay at the Tikida Beach 2 days ago. We spent a week there, between 13th-20th February 2023, staying in Room 22. Apart from a couple of iffy Weather days, the Temperatures were well above average for the time of year. Our room was superb, clean, roomy and well-appointed - the shower was awesome. It would be hard to remember all the names of the staff that were just so friendly, helpful, proactive and attentive - everyone was great. The food was really good (we ate too much, of course) maybe to do with Morocco's French links and large number of Guests from France - which was a breath of fresh air. The entertainment was well performed, and varied (not an animation team 'having a go'). We've got kids of out own, but staying at an adult-only hotel was brilliant, the decor, atmosphere and surroundings would not be as good in a 'kids hotel'. It was very classy. The Pool area is superb with 2 pools, one with a swim up bar, the other, smaller, pool os heated. There are plenty of loungers available and some quite lovely, stylish and slightly more secluded double-loungers too. The Hotel is effectively right on the beach, across the Promenade which goes all the way to the Marina. The daytime restaurant looks straight out to sea. We would certainly go back to Agadir again out of season, and we would certainly go back to the Tikida Beach.

Amazing holiday! Staff were friendly, adults only made it wonderfully peaceful. The beach is 10 steps from the hotel. We went in October and got fantastic weather, around 30*. The TUI staff always make you feel welcome and safe.

6 of us stayed staff very pleasant and helpful 2 of our party so far have food poisoning with days spent in rooms which do have a particular smell to them not quite pleasant it's also raining and having never been to all inclusive didn't realise there is nothing at all to do if you are not a heavy drinker or eater we have a few days left so we will see

The hotel is perfect! Food is amazing. We had one of our best holidays. All staff (from restaurant to animation and bar) is super friendly and helpful, always with the smile! Rooms are big and with balcony, cleaned up every day. Location is great 15 min walk from the Agadir Marina. Activities are amazing and if you want to be active you can as the hotel offers a basket, ping pong, tennis and a gym. Swimming pool are great and have enough space for everyone (at least in September). Every night you have an activity (live music, pool party, white party, traditional night…) which is really entertaining. Highly recommend the hotel, we will probably come back soon.

1 week holiday end July. Rooms clean, staff attentive, Tui Reps work hard to make experience enjoyable. We took part in many of the activities from water aerobics to a simple cooking class. We'll done all

Clean hotel nice beach and great view from the room Food repetitive in the buffet. Breakfast same repetitive nothing exciting the bacon was over cooked and burnt processed sausages, baked beans white in watery sauce the only good thing was orange juice and 🍞. Ala carte Culinarium nice food Morroccon ala carte awful WiFi poorest no WiFi at all at the pool and slow Waiting staff good Tui Blue Reps (Lauren & Larche rude obnoxious and unhelpful to say the least should be fired and replaced with new Reps. No Tui Reps in the hotel only Tui Blue dissatisfied. Daytime activities 0/10 the most boring games no enthusiasm by Ava the games rep. Reception desk excellent Room maids excellent Rooms cleaned excellent every day Drinks at bar poor no exotic cocktails and spirits watered down. Hammam massage booked through Tui App excellent Don't book massage through Tui Blue rip off. We wouldn't stay here again They need to improve quality dishes to taste in the buffet and the ala carte and the (MORROCCON) and introduce quality cocktails. Sun loungers need replacing back breaking we had to use 3 cushions to lie comfortably in the sun We appreciate the waiters and waitresses were excellent Evening entertainment was ok but repeated if your staying 2 weeks. There was no Karoke. The only good show was the Indian dances and the acrobats. Most hotels have a cocktail evening few days after you arrive but this hotel cocktail evening was on the day that guests are departing ridiculous for the British tourists that are due to depart on a night flight to have a cocktail evening at 6.30pm when guests are sitting in the lounge area ready to be picked up to head to the airport!!!!. The cocktails consisted of just 2 types of Vodka mixed with artificial juice. All we can say weather was great but won't be returning to this hotel again. We want your feedback from your side please? This is a 3 star hotel and our review is as honest as can be

Been three times in ten months.First two trip’s good, third time a failure. We had the earthquake on our second night ,my wife who is disabled and I were in bed it takes ten minutes to get her up so we ended up staying in bed.(not the best thing to do but I didn’t have a choice)However not one member of staff came round to see if we were okay surely part of their training is to look after the guests. The whole hotel seemed to suffer from a lack of staff as the service with exception of the main restaurant was appalling .The pool area was spasmodic with its services. There was a lack of sun bed pillows at least 70 sets short of a full complement,The pool side music was unbearable it was so loud that the speakers distorted with the volume. If you consider that I would think the percentage of guests would be 60/40 in favour of being over 50 most of us came for a relaxing break.I could go on and on but I think that is last time we will go back.

Arrived home last week. Can't fault a thing about this hotel. It was our anniversary, a beautiful vase of white roses was left in our room one day. Amazing beach & staff on the beach. Khadija, what a lovely lady keeping our drinks topped up every night. Location of room was perfect. Nearest room to the beach & lunch restaurant. Will definitely be returning

Had a great stay here. The food was lovely and the drinks were nice. The only issue is the tatty sunshades and sunbeds. Could do with updating and maybe some more added so people are not fighting over them. Also we saw staff out at 7am reserving beds for people who we assume were tipping them/paying them. Shame as some days people wouldn't even go to those reserved beds until the afternoon. Other than that the rest of the stay was great.

The location doesn't feel safe on the road at the back of the hotel lots of shops but a very run down area, then there's the hotel! No waitress service or there is but they are not keen to serve. Although there was 1 female waitress in the downstairs bar who was very hardworking and customer focused. In the restaurant Mustafa always had a table ready for us . No waitress service around the pool. Cocktailys not the best . Hotel very clean and well furnished

Very nice location with wonderful staff all of whom were very helpful. Downsides: often a smell of effluent, in the room and around the smaller of the pools. On a side note take ear plugs if attending the Tui meeting.

My partner and I stayed for a week from 2nd October to 9th October and we would say that for a 4* hotel Tikida Beach lives up to its rating strongly. There are a few points I will note in this review that set it down slightly from a 5* so if it's absolute premium quality you are wanting, it is worth considering paying extra. However for what this hotel promises, it delivers hence my 5/5 rating. We arrived just after midnight and check in took around 5 minutes per party - even at that time there was a good number of staff on reception to get the bus-load of guests checked in quickly. We got to our room on the seafront and it was presented beautifully. There was even a cling-filmed cheese salad and a banana on the table waiting for us as we'd obviously missed the evening meal which was a nice touch. Our room was very spacious, clean, and the shower is a huge walk-in which was ideal. All the facilities you require are available - hairdryer, hand/bath towels (replaced with new daily) 2 bottles of water and some cans of pop in the fridge (also replenished daily). We were at the far side of the hotel to the reception but the WiFi was still pretty good. Two points to note: the air con is a little sketchy. Ours was pretty weak so on boiling hot nights would've been a touch uncomfortable. We had a couple move in next door from another room as theirs didn't work at all. Secondly, DO NOT put your mobile phone in/near the safe as the interference resets the code. A technician had to come open ours as it wasn't accepting the code on our 3rd night, but this was fixed within 30 minutes. In the first morning there is a 30 minute briefing with the TUI reps - Lauren and Larche. This is well worth your time as they give you key information on booking excursions, as well as the fair prices for taxis and how to deal/ barter with market and street sellers to get good prices. Lauren is an absolute consummate professional and makes time for everyone with the utmost respect. Larche I would say is more laid back in his approach but equally good at his job-he changed around a double-booked excursion for us with no fuss at all, and was very courteous and helpful when our bank account would not let us pay, as we'd not used our card's abroad. He honoured the booking for us and allowed us to pay the next day, which gave us time to sort this. Ava, the entertainment rep was lovely also, and they make a fantastic team and are a credit to TUI. The pool is absolutely brilliant - it is very large and has a shallow end tapering to a deep end, around 3ft up to 8ft so there's plenty of room for people keen on just hanging their feet in the pool or having a proper good swim. The pool bar is to the side right in the middle and is a lovely place to sit and chill in the shade with a drink. There's a second small pool that entertainment is played in (polo, aquafit etc) so people can do one or the other. The bars in the hotel are really nice and have a touch of class to them, and the terrace bar facing the sunset over the ocean is stunning. The drinks won't blow your mind but are pretty standard for an all inclusive. There are two separate restaurants - one for lunch, the other for breakfast and tea. We always ate early but there was always tables free and they're promptly cleaned once others leave. The wine on offer is local but actually really nice - I would say they're the best bet for alcoholic drinks and the staff will top you up without asking (which can be dangerous haha!). My partner and I eat typically healthily, and the food was ideal for us. The salad bar is almost the same every day but there's that much to choose from, you can make up a different salad every time. The show cooking and main meals vary but are primarily local cuisine which was nice to try, and the show cooking tended to be different meat and fish every day. The deserts are a little bit underwhelming but it was so hot that the 5/6 flavours of ice cream covered us for the week which was pretty good. CONTINUED NEXT POST

CONTINUED FROM JODIE WHITEHOUSE We ate at both a la carte restaurants..... the Culinarium is set up on an evening in the lunch bar, and la Mogador has its own separate room. Both of these are lovely, the former especially as it's on the seafront over sunset and it's lovely to eat and watch camels walk by on the beach. I would recommend that the hotel signpost these better though-there is a hotel map on the Riu app, but it's a satellite view and a lot of the places you look for are on different floors so it's hard to tell where things are without hunting for them. I read in previous reviews that some of the staff were rude or stand-offish... I can understand people with this viewpoint but we genuinely found that most of the staff were english-speaking, but all very very basic. So it's difficult to cultivate a relationship with any of them even though you see them every day. I would recommend learning just a few basic french phrases as the staff do respond to this better, but in general I would say the staff are really pleasant even if they don't communicate so well, and are no less attentive. A few general points to conclude.... 1. The hotel offers an exchange service which I found was at a way better rate than in the UK so it's worth holding out for your currency til you get there. 2. The hotel has a roped off section of the beach which is kept lovely and clean. However, the first 25m of the main beach is never reached by the sea, so there's quite a lot of litter, camel poo and dog poo from the strays, so it's not particularly clean until you get our nearer the sea. This is no fault of the hotel, it's a big beach away from the hotel's remit and there's just not enough litter pickers. 3. Just be aware that it's a country where cockroaches live. We saw two milling around the hotel-nowhere near the dining areas - one was on our room's patio heading into the grass and the other was at the entrance. There's not much the hotel can do to completely cockroach-proof the hotel but we never saw any in the main grounds which is as good as you can hope for. They don't bother us at all anyway- all we expected/hoped was that they weren't in the dining areas, which they weren't. 4. The hotel has a few cats that mooch around the grounds and you will see these at meal times. They're friendly, and the hotel takes the responsibility to flea them which is good. I think this will be a similar situation in most hotels but is worth considering if you don't like them. The dogs however are never on the grounds, they hang around the promenade but never bother anyone. I would highly recommend the hotel. It's not without some small niggles but in my opinion if you manage your expectations that you're booking a good value 4* hotel, you'll be happy. Ultimately the hotel is clean, well maintained, and absolutely stunning to look at. Thanks again to Lauren and Larche who are great at their job - we had an amazing time!

An excellent place to stay since the hotel offer a very good service, the staff is very professional and also the hotel is very clean and nice situated. The only reason why I didn't put five is that some towels seem like old and sometimes we have to wait for them.

I love this hotel. I’ve been coming here since I was a child before it became an adults only all inclusive place. I am now 24 years old and pretty much come every year. All the managers are so hospitable, the rooms are always clean, the food and chefs are amazing and sweet. I love the staff members who always make me feel special and welcome. The reason I am not rating this previous stay 5 stars is because of the receptionist AFAF, this woman was so rude and unhelpful. She started yelling at my mother the day we were checking out in front of a lot of customers.

We stayed for two weeks from the 23rd August- 6th September 2021. We have been back for a week and we wish we were still there. We had a wonderful time. We also met and became friends with a number of great couples. All the staff, daily activities and food were 100% no complaints. A special mention to Chloe the Tui rep and Syid the Rui activity coordinator. Thank you both fir a wonderful time.

It looked exactly like the pictures on the website. Plenty of space, never felt crowded. The food was excellent and the staff always went the extra mile. great location for a resort holiday. Lots of sun beds at the pool and the beach. Special mentions go out to Hisham (lunch) Mohammed (breakfast and dinner), and Sadiq in the animation team for his amazing energy. Keep doing what you’re doing. The whole hotel team, from management through to the cats are doing an excellent job here.

Lovely hotel, stayed for a week. Staff were excellent and some really went the extra mile to make your stay special. Would definitely recommend staying here.

My brother was staying at this hotel. My daughter and I decided to get guests passes for the day. We were told by Yassine that we could stay for the whole day, use the facilities. We would have to pay 300 dirham. We decided to come back the next day and get the guest passes. Yassine told us we had to pay 600 dirham each, equivalent to almost Β£50 each. We could only stay until 6pm. We got there around lunch time. Because we were not residents of Agadir we were charged double the prize. Yassine was very rude, aggressive, unhelpful. He raised his voice, and walked away while I was talking to him. He refused to get the manager, as I requested. His attitude and manner was unacceptable. I spoke to Luke the TUI rep at this hotel about this incident. He was unable to help. He too was alarmed at the price I was being charged and only been allowed to stay until 6. I would not recommend this hotel. It’s all about the money not the guests. My brother decided to pay this amount, as we had come specifically to spend the day there. I then had to use a wooden hut that had cobwebs in it and was so small to get changed in to use the pool. To my utter alarm the toilets had a sign saying to throw the toilet paper into the bin after use. Bearing in mind this is a hot country and the stench this caused. Totally unacceptable.

Hotel tired, furniture shabby , beds by pools in need of replacement, cushions on beds either torn or some without covers altogether, how can this be hygienic? We visited this hotel 3 years ago and was very disappointed 😞 in the whole experience.
